- A local parkrun today so went to Pennington Flash Parkrun which I'd done once before. It's a lovely location and I thought the weather looked ok however upon arrival I realised it was absolutely freezing (perishing)! A tough course, uneven trail paths, lots of elevation and a surprising amount of mud, not my great performance at Parkrun! One of my favourite places for mountain bike race training for that reason.

Hey Andy, thanks for sharing and not all runs and races go according to plan. Keep training and most important, have fun!
Hi Reto, thanks for watching the video, I just think the conditions and the terrain made up my mind and I just jogged around, it still felt tough though:)
I stayed at leigh sports village when i did ironman. Your walk brings back memories 😮
Ironman - serious athlete - real kudos✅
Well done, never get yourself down after a run, I know it is tough to compare yourself to other runners but it's your own progress that matters at the end of the day and you will still be getting back from when you had your illness so that's to be expected with anyone 🏆🏆 Keep up the good videos
Thanks guys, you're very kind. It was funny actually, I didn't really push myself either, but I paced a new Parkrunner called Matt that day, he thanked me afterwards for keeping him on track, so that was a nice feeling:)
Great effort, looked freezing though 🥶
Hi Harry, I was taken aback by how cold it was that day (last Saturday), I usually discard by cycling jacket at the start even in winter but I am so glad I didn't for this one😀
Well at least the weather seems to be getting there, gradually. Bring on the summer @@AndyCliffMTB
@@harryruns1 You’re right Harry, it’s getting lighter and warmer although tbh I prefer it cooler (anything over 18/19C and I struggle😩)
Sounds like the cold day and surface didnt help. Or maybe you have bought some uphill running shoes 😂 . I am sure you will be back on form soon. And the weather is improving slowly.
It was tougher than I remember from last time - but I was 5 minutes quicker then, I hope I’m on the way back😊
