    How is it possible that I've never heard of this REALLY talented pianist??? And I have been listening to jazz for about 65 years!!

      He's been such an inspiration for me in the past year or so! I've really learned to imitate his style quite well I think, and I"m able to use it multiple times a week on gigs. I don't know how I had never heard of him before, now he's one of my favorite pianists!

    Dave McKenna's playing here of C Jam Blues has got to be the coolest bit of jazz piano playing I've ever heard! Cool to the max!!

    🎹 I met Dave in London in the seventies where we were both performing. A sweetheart of a guy and the greatest left hand in jazz piano.

    He was ambidextrous. He could make the piano sing. You can hear the lyrics as Dave plays, even if you don’t know the lyrics. One of the greats!

    david McKenna was one of the few pianist that Oscar Peterson liked and appreciated, Oscar made a good choice.

    Don't ever call a musician "underated on youtube you will catch hell. Perhaps less well known"-I m sure I 'll get some wonderful feedback on that as well.
