Not the only purple team in Norway though, I live literally 100 meters from local side in Sandefjord «GØIF», playing in the 6th tier. I also think Fyllingsdalen are purple if I remember correctly
The thing most people dont realize about the first save is how difficult it is to get promoted in the lower divisions in Norway. Only the top team is promoted, the second doesnt even get a chance at a playoff.
Good info, thanks! This sounds like the Brazilian 3rd Division in Championship Manager 4. You had 96 teams and 2 (!) promotion spots. Getting promoted in the first season (with some luck along the way, of course) is still one of my proudest gaming achievements.

@@i.blomen There are a few bottlenecks in the English League. The National League is tough but if you win it you should definitely be challenging to win League 2. League One and Championship are quite close except for the rich ex Premier League teams.

Also, there’s no real plug-and-play tactic so the incredible amount of hours on tweaking tactics and strategies over and over is a factor. If the editor wasn’t used then save scumming is most likely.
Depends on your goal tbh, other than Madrid every club has a purpose. Barcelona, to improve finance and get them competing Man City, create a legacy surpassing man united in England Celtic, improving in Europe which helps improve Scottish football
I think there should be two sections of the editor. One where you can only change kits and names and the other where you can do all the rest. Just so the aesthetics can be messed with without the integrity of the save being questioned.
Why? Its a single player game, and as a single player game it is impossible to "question the integrity of the Save" because what integrity means is up to the person playing the Save.
@@max86-qf6rq Just look at all the comments calling shenanigans on some of these saves. Whilst I agree that 90% of the time it doesn't matter, I'd like to be able to change a god awful away/third kit if I want and not be questioned about any success I might have if I want to share it.
@@RacingAtHome I am the same, especially with all the lower level teams in obscure leagues that have no kits at all but I manage to scour the web and look for photos of those clubs and then try to match it so that when you play those teams they aren't the boring default kits.
Had a save where i took over Queen's Park in Scotland, oldest team in Scotland. Started halfway through the season, got relegated, stuck with them. Sold any players that had value and brought in a shitload of veterans on free transfers and massively upped the scouting budget and WAY overpaid for a very good head of scouting. Got promited to the 2nd tier again, got back to back promotions, another relegation, another promotion and finally after another 3 years won the double in Scotland. All the while mostly bringing in free transfers and scouting youth talents. Proud to say 5 of my players i brought in on free's ended up retiring and joining my coaching staff.
13:00 When I saw that Hull save I thought "Hang on, is that me?" I literally played a 30 year Hull save in Fm23 and was winning 5 trophies a year, every year. It was a fun save. This year I've been playing a save with no players over 3 stars with Tottenham. It's hilarious having to bench players whenever they pop up to 3 1/2 stars, and then sell them at the first opportunity but I do have 2.2bil in the bank and multiple Premiership titles, can't get the Champions League win yet tho.
I'll always remember a save I had with Notts County way back when. There was a midfielder I was essentially ignoring as all he really had was acceleration, balance, pace and strength. Cue injury crisis so I was forced to play him. Absolute machine who cemented his place in the team. Key technicals and mentals for a midfielder were 2-3 lower than everyone else but he dominated physically, bullying his way past people and winning every duel. Legend and I've just remembered his name - Drissa Traore.
Mamadou Sidibe also played for Gillingham under Tony Pulis over 20 years ago. The person submitting that save also had a player called Zakuani, who was also a Gillingham player.
Will always remember that Cosimo Marco Da Graca I panic bought on deadline day in FM19 for my Stuttgart side because Nicolás González wanted a bigger salary and the club needed money. Made him learn how to beat the offside trap. And that forever 3 stars striker went ahead and carried me through multiple competitions. One of my GOATs 🤩
Very late on this, but similarly, St Pauli, bought a Paraguayan winger who I nicknamed Yoyo on FM19 (cannot remember his actual name), never rated above 3 stars, dropped as low as 2, but was utterly amazing, consistently and constantly.
I love how passionate this guy is about FM, I know it's his job but damn he's the best FM content creator, it doesn't feel like he's forcing it as a "job"

Not for sure, maybe yes for sure no. Just because you weren't/aren't able to have a save this successful or find it "unrealistic" (in the sence that u like the "grind" type saves like for example the first one) does not mean its not possible without the editor.

No editor used, Zealand has the editor bought and I haven’t bought it but I haven’t disabled it when I started the save just incase there was something that was game breaking/save ending that can be fixed by the editor. Luckily this year I haven’t had to buy it yet and I haven’t had to use it since FM20 but because Zealand has bought the editor and I haven’t disabled it at the start of the save it shows up when he reviews it
That first save was good. Looks like no exploiting of game AI or exploiting the transfer system which is quite an easy thing to do. Your use of the word "organic" was very good because it seems very realistic. 7 was harsh. The 2nd save was dodgy asf so giving a 9 was very very generous
I was the 2nd save. In what way was it dodgy? The editor wasn't even on (no pencil). It was a create-a-team where I changed the name and kit to help me connect with the save. Technically, the editor wasn't even released when I started the save.
@@EstariaValens It's not what you might have done in the game with the editor that I am curious about but what you might have done in the main game editor when you created the club such as giving an excessive budget, 5* facilities in non league, adding a few OP players to the team to start with etc. Maybe you didn't do anything. I am just suspicious. I'd ignore me if you know you are genuine
I can attest to how hard it is to get out of the lower divisions in Norway. It is a nightmare to find players. I tried a save there, but way up north in the country. There are so few clubs there, that improving your team feels almost impossible. At that level of play, the wages are so bad, no one actually wants to move up there, so you need local players. I gave up on that save like three times.
That Tranmere save. Wow. I am impressed. I am also a big fan of the Norwegian club builder save, the two journeyman saves and the Salernitana > Villarreal > Real Madrid save. Keep up the great work!
My first fm game was fm21 and since it was my first time and all my tactics absolutely sucked i started downloading tactics and that's when i learned about Zaz, one of the best fm tacticians(if not the best) and with his tactic i took leyton orient from league 2 to the premier league in back to back to back promotions by finishing top in all three leagues but got my ass handed to me in the premier league but still managed to finish 14th. That was a hell of a ride.
With that Hull City save, I get bored after winning a league about three or four times in a row and end up leaving to a small club in a different nation to do something else for a few years. I do miss some of my best players, at one point had basically a Messi player (60-70 goal contributions per season, 5'6") but I saved at that point so I can always go back to him and I watch him while I am at other clubs.
I love captainwaterson save, this is where I am in my save. His next challenge on that save is to get his affiliates to win their leagues using your club
First save is awesome, second is obviously help of editor(cheating),third one you must look at editor use,its almost impossible to start winning that early with Hull..
Disagree, first of all it's possible. Second of all there is no such thing as "cheating" in FM. Its a single player game, cheating is getting a unfair advantage over youre OPPOSITION, to win a game of cod or fifa (eafc) or irl chess to name examples. There is no opposition in fm besides the ai.
I recently started a save in Tier 10 with Wakefield AFC(FM 23), mainly due to the stadium size that can go all the way to the Prem without needing to be upgraded. Never did this next part before, but edited all the youth stuff up to 20. Junior coaching and youth recruitment dropped throughout the year, but holy crap the kids it produced. 3 came out at National League level(2 strikers, 1 RB), 2 came out at VN N/S level(1 MC, 1 DM/MC), and I was in Tier 10. The rest were at Step 3-4. Second season I got an MC at National League level. I've been able to sign the ones I want from the first crop to longer term deals(2 years with 2 year options), so yeah, will be a nice climb. 31-3-0 so far in Tier 9. As soon as season ticked over I had odds to win my Tier 9 league at 1-something. What a cheat code.
the first save reminds me of my first real save on fm last year, alfreton town in the national league north promoted first year, 5 years in national league and about 7 years getting up to the championship then got to busy to play. loved the few months i played it, jumping around in my room in the league 1 playoff final after a 85 min was my favourite moment Plus its my local team (about 5 miles away) which made it better
I love these saves and these stories. In my current FM15 save (yes, I still play an almost 10 year old game...) I resigned from my AC Milan job to take over my childhood club that was their 2nd season in 3rd division. They barely managed to stay in, so they looked for another manager that could keep them up with more security. I instantly jumped on the job because my team usually plays in a non-playable league and this was only the 2nd save I've seen them for longer than 1 season in a playable league. In my 2nd season with them I brought in a striker that had a 2 star rating, but I believed he could be important for me. In his 2nd season with me he became top scorer of the league with 26 goals in 37 games. the season after we won 3rd division and he scored 25 goals. In his 2nd season in 2nd division he became top scorer with 28 goals in 33 games and we became champions. In his first 2 seasons in 1st division he was terrible, 6 goals in 38 games. In the 3rd season my main striker left and I didn't have resources to bring a new one in. So it was his time to shine again... Top scorer in the highest division with 23 goals in 40 games (despite us finishing dead last in the league. But we managed to stay in the league because of the playoffs). So he became top scorer in 3rd, 2nd and 1st division. Now he's DOF at a smaller team, and I'm waiting for him to gain attributes so he can be reunited again with us
Love that first Norway Save. That's FM pure love. I played FM now for many years and had a lot of Top Teams but the Hull Save really looks suspicous for me. From my point of view it's edited.
The reason the Norway one is more impressive to me is because of the insane registration rules there where you are only allowed nine players who are not HGN.
@ZealandOnYT you're exactly right about Roger. Almost included it in the submission description--he had broken his leg and I brought in a world class replacement the year before. With one year to go on his contract, he wanted a big, big renewal and I just wanted him out. His value was about 3x what I sold him for, and now it's about 4x, but it's still a win.
Such a fun vid to watch too. Have a great save aswell with Ajax, unbeaten in the Eredivisie for 6 years (if i'm correct) now and won the UCL 2 times in a row after a late defeat the year before. It might nog be the best hardcore save, but I love the simplicity of building an already great team and make it even better. (We're also the number 1 in rep in the world now)
The third save is typically how my long term save winds up, though usually 25+ seasons in. I don't play in England at all but I've done that with even low tier countries like IK Sirius (Sweden) as well as major countries like Malaga (Spain) (FM22), Schalke (Germany) and Waterford (Republic of Ireland) (FM23) and I'm starting on that path now with Almere City in the Netherlands. Smaller countries delay the ascension (which is why I don't play in England. Too easy) because you have to build club reputation and league prestige, largely singlehandedly. That fourth save is reminiscent of the Herschel Walker trade.
Having always been a console gamer, FM never really caught my attention until, out of boredom during quarantine, I decided to download it. I remember really enjoying it, but for one reason or another, I went back to FIFA and eFootball. Given the decline of these two franchises and the lack of optimism about the upcoming alternatives, I turned to FM24. This game is giving me so much satisfaction. God bless FM, a game from which Konami, EA (and maybe 2K) have a lot to learn. It's so beautiful and realistic despite the PSOne-like graphics engine. And then there's the possibility of modding it, adding real faces to regens, especially now with the arrival of AI, we can create them exactly as we want. In short, this game is amazing (I mean the PC version).
I recently finished up a save and wanted to have a look at the PA and CA of my players. Editor was disabled so I got FMGenie and sorted by PA. It turns out, during a transfer window in the MLS, I signed 5 players who all ended up in the top 10 highest CA players in the world. One of the players I bought in that window had 200 PA, and actually wasn't the only 200 PA player in the save either.
One great piece of business for me was in my current save (FM22). 31st of Jan 2028, forced to sell my star striker to Bayern for £50m. I had no one lined up so had to search for a replacement quickly. Found a disgruntled striker in Dortmund for £12m. He was a beast, helping us to win everything and getting all the individual accolades. I left the club after winning everything (took 8 years) and the club immediately sold him to Utd for £183m. Not a bad pick-up.
I'm currently working on the most insane transfers Ive ever done in FM going all the way back to playing CM as a kid. I bought 2 22 year olds, 1 from Spurs, 1 from Arsenal. Both cost me less than 20k, yes £20,000. They both had around 100 CA and over 180 PA but clearly weren't fulfilling their potential as they were being sold for literally nothing, I figured "what the hell?" and bought them. I've been playing them in the u21's squad and giving them games in the first team whenever possible, I have by far the best coaching staff in the Prem, and already within 3 months of buying them their CA's are both going up quickly and they've gone from being worth 17k and 13k respectively to around 3 mil a piece. They're also both averaging over 7.1 rating for the season in the Prem lol If I can get them to anything close to their PA by the time they are 27, I'm going to make a fortune on them.
That Hull save was definitely heavily edited. That kind of success is crazy. Although achievable, the players highlighted weren't THAT good. There's no plug-and-play tactic that would dominate everything every year. Strong doubts on that one. The second one with the created club also had some shenanigans I reckon.
Done it multiple times over the years without the editor or anything. At a certain point you build a team that is not only basically 2 world class players in every position but your dynamics/morale/team cohesion/leadership is so maxed out the AI just can't really compete. Basically wonderkid shop every season, loan lots out like he did, flip the ones not destined for the first team for profit, which then allows you to basically go out and buy £200-300 million players to improve your team, if you obviously go for ones in their early 20s, and all the other wonderkids you collect you will have a team of world stars.
It's actually quite easy to do :) Once you amass enough talent you win everything. My personal favourite setup a formation with 3x BPD (or 2 BPD + libero), regista + vol(A), 2x DW, SS, CF (or AF) + Treq up front. Averaged over 70 goals in UCL per season and over 200 goals in the Polish league (which i lifted all the way up to 5th spot)
Watching this video i am also currently Tranmere Rovers, they are my local team, i am only in January but i am doing really well so far. Love the video as always
What I would like to know about the Hull City save is how he maintain the players with that level happy on loan, and prevent other teams to buy them and they getting angry because you reject the offers: Also I wouldn't give a 10 to the American Samoa guy, the game let you go up in the ladder pretty easy if you do well. All my saves are like that, I start with an almost unknown team from a lower league in a not so traditional football country and at some point I get to pick to which of the 5 top leagues and teams I want to go.
Regarding keeping my loan players happy it was quite hard, I get a lot of players who are unhappy about their playing time but if they do get unhappy I just firm it or loan them out so they get happy again
@@lukewaterson2000 I had several good players that got unhappy because they never were on loan and wanted to be in a "better team" so I had to sell them :( and also when they were on loan if a big club approachs to buy them, it was almost impossible to keep them in the club, even if they had a lot of play time, and nice salary, they say, dude I'm out, it's a big club, sell me now.
21:15 - I had an Italian RB wonderkid in my Falkirk save called Danilo Bologna as well, who ironically ended up at Chelsea. Was such a good player for me until he engineered his move away.
3rd save is easily possible. 5 seasons to win the prem with hull is not that difficult if you know what you’re doing. 2nd is very clearly cheating tho considering the fact that their best wonderkids weren’t even that good
Where you there while they are playing the Save? If not then why are you so sure that its been used? Especially the 3rd save is completely possible without the editor. I'm not saying they didn't but besides the fact that u in my personal opinion shouldn't show it of on yt or Reddit etc if they did. But i really don't understand why it bothers people. It's a single player game, it shouldn't matter.
I was the 2nd save. No editor. It wasn't even on. Actually, the editor wasn't even released when I started that save. I just did create-a-team and kit, to help me connect to the save during the first years.
A 9 out of 10 for a created team but 7 out of 10 with 100% transperancy and fantastic overall club management. Heck may have to buy this years addition and submit a team. Create a team with hidden financials and then start buying known wonderkids for 10's of millions of dollars.
Whenever I see videos like this I regret deleting my Zagreb save from FM23 where I won EL first and CL in the 2nd season not by doing incredible transfers but being INSANELY lucky xD
Damn, I would have loved to submit my save. Guijuelo from Spanish 4th tier, went to 1st div like a rocket and ended 3rd on my first year there with a team which quality would normally be around 2nd div relegation battle. Finally won the league (and cup) now in 2030 and I'm contending for the Champions in only 8 years. Every year has been a transfering masterclass and the team has been rich for years while I have a team full of world class wonderkids. Craziest save I've ever had and feeling so proud.
I might have a same coming up with my created club, Bloomfield United. Where we went from Vanarama to Prem currently with a lot of players from the first few years still in the team doing it in the Prem. Editor for improving ratings but only +1 for constant 8.0+ performances in games and in training.
best save i had was with Rangers, won 14 Scottish Titles with 11 of them in a row, 7 scottish cups, 9 scottish league cups, a europa leauge, and 2 champions leagues. only trophy that haunted me was the club world cup. never won it on any save ive ever done so ended the save after my 2nd failed attempt at it
These comments just piss me off. Everyone is just blindly accusing people who have success of using the editor (which some of them didn’t even have it enabled), but even if they did, so? Like let people enjoy the game. If you win 10 straight prems, no matter how much you use the editor, it’s an insanely impressive achievement and you should be able to show it off. So basically, just let people enjoy the game. In a single player game there’s no such thing as ‘cheating’. Tldr: don’t just say anyone who does something impressive or something you couldn’t do is using the editor/save scumming, and even if they did, so? It’s a SINGLE PLAYER GAME
I wanted to to send in my save this year because it made me go threw all the emotions. I started with my favourite team Werder Bremen but got fired being in 16th after 30 games(they eventuelly got relegated). I had to take over MSV Duisburg in 3 Liga overcoming Werder Bremen and seeing them get relegated a few times while I laugh at them sitting in the Champions League quarter final.
I won 8 champions leagues in a row with west brom. I had a 2½ star striker who scored 30 goals in the prem. I won the prem 5 in a row as well and the season before my run I finished 17th
In that Dortmund dream team save I saw that one of the losses was in a first leg champions league game to Man Utd 4-1. And as they won it, checked and saw they won the second leg 10-0 😮
I actually think getting relegated is a really grat experience. In my last safe I gor relegated in the 2. Season after getting promoted in the first. I got the record for the least points in the Bundesliga ever. My team was just not ready. After that I broke the record for most points in the second Bundesliga and had a team that could stay competetive in the Bundesliga. It really helped me to stay invested in thsi safe.
Hey! Tarmon Valens here. Sorry about the lack of context in my save. I honestly didn't expect you to pick my save. But here's the rundown of the Black Knights. The Black Knights were an old football team, I was on in my youth. So I always do a create-a-team, to help me connect with the save during the first years. I honestly don't remember which team I replaced. The unfortunate thing is that days before the call went out for saves, I had deleted my 23-24 long save; so I had to send in an old backup from 4 years before the end of the save. So that was mostly my final team. I added a few more lads in later seasons, but those were the starters for the rest of the save. Timm became the star player at CAM. After the save ended, I checked, and he had a CA of 176 with a PA, he wouldn't quite reach, of 187. Laureno, the keeper, ended up reaching his potential of 180; and won the golden glove the next 4 years. I ended up selling Vargas for $120 mil. Packzowski became a dominating force on the left, dropping 25+ assists each of the next 4 years. Rio became the fastest striker on the planet, in that universe, scoring 20+ goals a year (a bit mundane, but I focused on getting goals from everywhere, rather than just from striker). Pitcher and Coelho contributed 15+ goals from the right side each of the next 4 years, peaking in the second-to last season with over 20 goals apiece. Hill remained the stabilizing force in the team, but never really stood out. Nejmi I sold for $110 mil or so. I ended up not selling Ewert, and he locked down the left side for the rest of the save. The team finished 2nd the year you saw, and 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st the remaining 4 seasons. The 2nd to last season, we got an invincible season in the prem; and the last season, we completed a sweep of trophies - Carabao, FA, Community Shield, UCL, and Prem (we technically won the Club WC that year too, but the final was after the calendar flipped to the next season). In each of the 4 seasons, we got 10+ goals from 6 players or more each season, with the best year being the invincible season where we had 4 people get 20+ goals!
Playing a Yeovil Town save from FM 2023 (waiting for FM 2025 so skipped 2024) but 3 years in the national league with one playoff season then barely surviving relegation due to losing a third of the team and being under a transfer embargo due to a take over. Third year is a third of the way through in a playoff position. Striker is a solid young loan player but struggling but the rest of the team is pulling the slack with my one winger stepping up while my back line is playing solid defense. Hope to promote soon as I picked up some players that I can sell for good money soon along with another player who has a 50% profit of sell that should move soon to give us a windfall of money. It is more committed playing from a bottom league to work up the ladder.
well FM should introduce a "journeyman challenge" mode in the game were we only be able to choose clubs from lower divisions and unlock higher division clubs only when we actually accept an offer .
I started a save with tottenham. won the champs league in my second year. got fired at the end of the third year for having a massive 7 game loss streak at the end section of the season (I had literally 9 first 11 injuries.) Then got hired by bayern munich and had a really fun 3 way title race with leipzig and borussia dortmund lol

As german, its pretty funny that the club Grüner, the german word for green plays in purple kit
It is what it is, I dont know why we're purple, but I love it
Had a save where i took over Queen's Park in Scotland, oldest team in Scotland.

This should be a new series! "Flex your saves"

interesting to see the hull city team had the ingame editer open
Yeah, I think both him and the single transfer window guy did some shady stuff for sure
Not for sure, maybe yes for sure no. Just because you weren't/aren't able to have a save this successful or find it "unrealistic" (in the sence that u like the "grind" type saves like for example the first one) does not mean its not possible without the editor.
@@briangibbs269 25 mil to spend in the championship is unheard off from lower league sides like tramere im doing rochdale and i got 700k no chance you have mils to spend
Agreed. I've never seen anyone have that much success in FM ever. The consequtive leagues and champions leagues is silly.
Agree mate
Disagree, first of all it's possible. Second of all there is no such thing as "cheating" in FM. Its a single player game, cheating is getting a unfair advantage over youre OPPOSITION, to win a game of cod or fifa (eafc) or irl chess to name examples. There is no opposition in fm besides the ai.
@@max86-qf6rq god you ball glazer if it's that easy to do it then show one example of someone doing something like that without the editor then

Last save Dortmund beating Man Utd 10-0 was an INSANE result overlooked
Yeah, I was wondering how he overcame the 1-4 first leg defeat lol
I absolutely enjoyed every second of this video. It's a great format. Would happily watch more of this, Z. Cheers!
the first save reminds me of my first real save on fm last year, alfreton town in the national league north promoted first year, 5 years in national league and about 7 years getting up to the championship then got to busy to play. loved the few months i played it, jumping around in my room in the league 1 playoff final after a 85 min was my favourite moment
Plus its my local team (about 5 miles away) which made it better
From my point of view it's edited.
saves with editor on should not be accepted but thats just my opinion
I really like this video. One of my favorite things about the FM community is seeing the insane things people do in their saves.
Appreciate the circling of things that are being talked about, makes it way easier to follow :)
Hull City save was absolute God Tier !! Bravo 👌
(We're also the number 1 in rep in the world now)
Zealand sounds like the ultimate commentator, the way he says "Real sociedad" at 10:08 makes him sound like the Stewart Robson stuck in my head.
They're also both averaging over 7.1 rating for the season in the Prem lol
If I can get them to anything close to their PA by the time they are 27, I'm going to make a fortune on them.
It's actually quite easy to do :)
Once you amass enough talent you win everything.
Broken tactics do exist you know.

Great save to do mate
What I would like to know about the Hull City save is how he maintain the players with that level happy on loan, and prevent other teams to buy them and they getting angry because you reject the offers:
Also I wouldn't give a 10 to the American Samoa guy, the game let you go up in the ladder pretty easy if you do well.

Like let people enjoy the game. If you win 10 straight prems, no matter how much you use the editor, it’s an insanely impressive achievement and you should be able to show it off. So basically, just let people enjoy the game. In a single player game there’s no such thing as ‘cheating’.

Absolutely do more videos like this, I cant believe it i watched it full on sunday at 21.30 :)
I prefer the first one type of save. It feels more natural instead of 'Won everything every year, time to restart'.
HITC Sevens would be happy about the player can manage the team to get such a achievement.
This is the best video you ever made, this is the content I'm here for, yes! Huge like
