Mourinho PISSED all over Manchester United with his comments and attitude. He has serious foot in mouth decease. Never liked, never have, NEVER WILL. He's a DISGRACE TOO FOOTBALL. Don't let the door hit you on the way out arrogant muppet.

I can't believe he had the audacity to even say "I sat here on this chair when I beat Man United twice with FC Porto and Real Madrid" like it was nothing and even worse said the FA Cup is more important than the CL. What the actual fuck. You don't say that as a professional football let alone as a United Manager.

Mourinho's narcissism is born out of his extreme insecurity. All narcissists use narcissism as a defence mechanism for the fact that they have doubts about themselves. Mourinho's insecurity is in living in the shadow of Sir Alex Ferguson and taking on the responsibility of such a big English club (much different from managing in Italy or Spain or even Chelsea). That was always going to be an enormous burden for him to bear, and not a challenge he's in a position to take on at this stage in his career. His greatest successes are behind him and his recent track record has diminished his brand. Kind of like a boxer who hangs on too long. His arguments ("MU have a lack of heritage, look at the players, etc) don't hold water. Even if they did, why is he playing Young and Fellaini then? And where is his accountability for how big a bust Pogba has been? Even Sanchez looks like a shadow of his former self? Who asked that he be singed?
He should be cozying up to the Portuguese Football Federation because his next gig, with any cache, should be coaching the Portuguese National Team. He needs a break from club football.

No you idiot sacking him right now? that would do more bad than good most definitely. What we need is to get people with football brains in to the board room because at the moment the only executive chairmen/women (executive means the people with decision making power) are corporate business men with no idea how a football club should be run in terms of actual on the pitch decisions. We need a director of football or a committee like city have to point us in the right direction.

Mourinho's in the Arsene Wenger circa 2010 phase of his career when he was past it as a top manager, when he'd become stale and allowed by sanctimonious sycophantic journalists like Oliver Holt to live on his reputation while it was clear with each season Arsenal were slipping into complacent mediocrity when they should have been pushing on to become a top European team with legions of managers in that time including a still relevant Mourinho and Guardiola who would have jumped at the chance. Mourinho's lost it, he's deluded and with his ego and narcissism his decline will be even more undignified than Wenger's. Sevilla are shite, the worst Seville team for years getting beaten left right and centre in Spain. That was a worse result than anything under Moyes or Van Gaal.

Has a lifelong United fan the Mourinho appointment saddened me he's the complete opposite of what a United manager should be,he's produced the most unbalanced team I think I've ever seen in my time watching football,he has a squad of very talented INDIVIDUAL'S with no plan of how to play expansive attacking football, his comments on Tuesday about how he'd twice knocked us out of the CL were pathetic,I was at both games Porto cheated and dived their way through the tie,Scholes scored a perfectly good goal that was ruled offside and Deco did a great impression of Tom Daley all night,we completely out played Real and Nani got a very harsh red card with even the egomaniac himself admitting the best team lost.the Sanchez deal is I think the straw that broke the camels back driving a wedge through the whole team,Guardiola played a master stroke by pulling out of that deal,we have all the signs of the mutiny HE caused at Chelsea.he has to go

It's important to remember Mourinho always plays his brand of football with a particular type of team, which is one that has the underdog mentality and will out work and out smart the opposition. He made mistakes with some of the players for sure, and its attributed to him not trusting them or clashing with his ideals. A team like Monaco rather than PSG would suit him way better because he'd still have the money to buy those kind of players with that belief system.

United knocked out by Seville. What is the football heritage of Seville in the Champions League of 16? ZERO. How many Seville players have such experience in the Champions League? ZERO. What is the budget of Seville compared to that of United? FIVE TIMES LESS.
He also spoke about the time he was coach of Inter to show us how good he is in constructing winning teams. How many championships had Inter won JUST BEFORE he took over? THREE TIMES IN A ROW. How did Inter knock out Barcelona when they won the Champions League? Because a Portuguese referee, later became known that he was a business partner to Mourinho in Portugal, allowed the third goal of Milito who was 2 meters offside, and who did not even celebrate himself until he saw that the referee allowed the goal. Also, because of the volcano eruption, Barca were forced to travel to Milan BY BUS!!!
He also mentioned Real Madrid....when did Real win the Champions League? THE YEAR AFTER MOURINHO LEFT THE CLUB!! How did Real use to play against Barcelona at that time? A mixture of karate and football...Remember Pepe, Marcelo..This is why they got rid of him at Real.
Finally: 2 simple questions. How many great players has Mourinho created in his career and how many has he destroyed?
Who remembers any Mourinho's team because he really enjoyed watching them play?

Mourinho's boring football is light years better than Van Gaal's boring football. There isn't even a comparison. 2nd in the league is better than missing out on 4th every year and performing like this in every single game. I don't think they should drop Mourinho over this. United were shite in Europe under Fergie for most of the 90s and dropped out with poor performances regularly. Dunphy used to shit all over Ferguson and proclaim doom for United throughout their glory years, for going on short losing runs or losing the title to Arsenal etc. United are in the best situation they've been in since Fergie left. It would be stupid to fire Mourinho. That said, United will never again be a great team as long as that bobble headed uncoordinated clown Fellaini is putting on their jersey.

  • @engespress

Dunphy and the other pundits on the show have a lot of insight and wisdom. However, I disagree about Mata and Fellaini. I think both should have been on the pitch. Fellaini is "The Bolt" that's needed to lock the defense, and Mata's needed to do the runs and create the chances and play alongside Sanchez to help out the attack.
What Mourinho needs to do is:
    1) Get his players to start pressing - this is modern-day football. Liverpool, City, Barca and Chelsea all do it and do it well and are very successful because of it.
    2) Redo the attacking line - put Sanchez up front and drop Lukaku to being a squad player. Get Martial up front to and have Mata at the front too but mostly doing assists. Forbid him to do 20-yarders. He's only good for tap ins but ideally he should play a little deeper than Sanchez and Martial except when he's doing assists. Then he can go as forward as much as he likes, especially down the wings.
    3) Drop Pogba. Pogba is not playing seriously. He's playing an individual game and is waiting for the manager to fail so he can leave MU or play with a different manager. He makes too many mistakes and lets the ball into the danger zone too much. Dumb Mourinho should bench him.
    4) Get Fellaini on as the DM. Then play Perreira as an attacking midfielder and wing on the left. He can do Shaw's job as well, making runs down the wing.
    5) Bench Lindelof. He's lacking confidence and he doesn't play from the back well. Stop trying to play from the back. Get De Gea to pass to a centerback who should play it to a midfielder or wing back.
    6) Have 2 center-halves. Then you have the front 3 (Martial, Sanchez and Mata), then you have the DM (Fellaini). You have 4 players left. You want an attacking midfielder (Perreira). Now 3 players left. The two wing backs/inverted wings and one more midfielder, an attacking one or defending one, depending on the sort of game you intend to play.
So a 2 (cb) -3 (wb and dm) -2 (2 am) -3 (forwards) formation (2-3-2-3). The wingbacks play deep initially then move forward as the attack proceeds so the formation becomes 2 (cb) - 1 (dm) - 2 (am) - (2 wb) - 3 (forwards) (2-1-2-2-3) and 2-1-4-3 and 2-1-2-5. This shows that the wingbacks move up and down the pitch as inverted wings while the other players keep their position. The ams should play a slightly deeper role than most ams in other clubs.
The attack is concentrated in the wings. The inverted wing must coordinate with the forward wings to create chances. One of these players must do a cross to the center for the assist. So you will have these pairs: Shaw+Perreira, Valencia+Mata or Dalot+Mata.
For the opposite team to succeed in scoring, they have to, if they attack centrally, get through the attacking midfielders, then the defending midfielder and then the 4 defenders at the back. The wingbacks have run down the flanks at this point and have moved centrally to protect their goal. The attackers will face four players guarding the goal and a DM tackling them for possession.
If the opposite team attack through the wing, they have to go through the wingback. If the wingback was playing high, the midfielders must drop deep and guard the center part. The DM moves out to the wing and tackles the player. The center halves stay put in front of their goal. Other players including the midfield and forward players must track back and supplement the centerbacks.
The key to defense is to do the fast retreat. Players must sprint as fast as they can to form the guard in front of their goal. What they need is bodies in front of the goal. Man-marking and tackling is less of a consideration at this stage.
The only people who should be doing the man-marking and tackling are the assigned players: these ones are the closest to the attacker and are deeper in the field to the attacker.
The ones who are higher in the field must retreat as fast as they can to the 18-yard box and guard the goal and seal off entry to it.
Ideally you should have 8 people in the box, and 1 player man-marking, and 1 player just outside of the box roaming around it, ready to tackle anyone trying to enter it or an extra person to deflect the ball and strengthen any part of the defense. This player must be prepared to move to the sides and the front, depending on where the main action is.
So the formation is like this during extreme danger:
    G (goalkeeper)
    Z (roaming)
    Y (tackling)
The roaming player (Z) can step into the box for extra defending of the goal as needed. Eg. when the opposition is doing headers into the box.
The tackling player (Y) can also do the same, as required.
All the players must be ready to assume attacking positions when the opposition lose possession so they can attack on the counter. The transitions must be fast and smooth.
The manager must get subs ready to replace players early when they are tired. For this reason there should be good depth of the squad. A lot of subbing will be done because players will be running a lot, going from one end of the pitch to the other. Only the center halves won't be doing much running. They will stay deep, very close to the 18-yard box.
If the attackers complain they have to do too much running back and forth, they should be told to score goals if they don't want to do so much running. If they score goals, they can play more defensive football and don't have to try and attack so much, which means that they won't lose possession as much and won't have to retreat as much.
When the center halves have to tackle players, it mostly means the defending has failed. Center halves should not tackle anyone except when there is already a guard around the goal. Center halves should be doing the tackling only if there is a guard.
The priority should be to form a guard and after this tackling. The players in Man Utd are doing the wrong thing. They are tackling and then forming a guard as a last resort. Mourinho must change this.

It is not Mourinho to blame but Lukaku. Lukaku is NOT good enough. He rarely holds the ball up & does not score enough goals in a team that wants to win the Prem or CL. He is the classic big fish in a small pond that can't cope in a big pond; think Heskey, Altidore, Boa Morte. Remove Jose & keep Lukaku will consign United to has beens for 3 years. Get a grip.

A lot of good points. Fernandinho not a young player though but his point stands. Mata should have played. In fact team should have been unchanged from the weekend. But it would still have papered over the cracks. There is no philosophy of play. So much wrong that I could write an essay on Mourinho. Only good thing he has done is getting rid of Rooney. He has to go. End of day he wont change.

8:56 This guy makes some decent points, but he was not saying the truth there.
REAL MADRID DID WANT Pogba, and we still do! Problem is that Florentino Perez did not wish to pay 100 million euros. That's all. We would gladly have him today, if he is available.
And under Zidane, you can bet we won't be using him as a defensive midfielder. Pogba would play as CAM (not with a middle three as some English pundits love to say) in front of our 3 midfielders and behind only 2 strikers. Where he really thrived in Juve.

mourihno is a very smart man, gets paid lots of money and keeps the Utd board under his mercy......what can Utd do now? ,completely nothing thats why he says whatever he wants, insults the club after the loss to seville, and he is really asking for the sack!!since he only recently got his contract extension

Van Gaal wasn't ideal but twice the man Mourinho will ever be.
      He's a Machiavellian, noxious Charlatan.

However comparing this man u to his time in madrid im schocked cause real to me always played ofensive futbol no wonder they scored 100 goals in a season. Dont know what has happened to Mou but even he has to know that he fucked up

9:16 I think this is right from Dunphy. The way Pogba's been for us lately, he wouldn't be able to fit in with a dynamic team like Man City. He's like Riquelme, but without brains.

United are but a pale Shadow of their great former self's, and mourinho as turned utd into a turgid, dull functional methodical clunky no risk uninspiring team, and Jose is just not working out, and he is fast becoming some kind of poisonous chalice, he causes fractions within teams, and like he did at Chelsea and Real Madrid eventually loses the players. Jose is a round peg, utd is a square hole.......don't fit

We’ve had 4 managers since fergie and all of them haven’t succeeded. Why? It’s SIMPLE. The players we have are just not good enough and other teams player are betters like city’s and Liverpools. It’s so easy to blame the manager? We beat Liverpool and Chelsea, Who do we praise? The players. Lose to Sevilla, who do we blame, mourinho lol it’s a fucking joke. Matic and fellaini are never going to control the tempo of the match so I do blame mourinho for picking them.

Mourinho got his tactics wrong against sevilla plain and simple..why change the team that just beat liverpool. Rashford scored two on the left he puts him out right and drops mata. Mctominay had his best game for united and he drops him for Fellaini? why?

    • @keito9158
      @keito9158 6 лет назад +1

dylan roper Because Mourinho is a narcissist with a huge ego. He wanted to change so drastically from what worked 2 days earlier, so if he'd win again everyone would hail him as a genius. They'd say look at this guy, dramatically changes his tactics in only 48 hours and wins anyway. What a genius. It's all about Jose and it's always been all about Jose.

These pundits all make valid points, but why can they not mention someone who is a better fit. The only one I can think of is Carlo Ancelotti. As for Ryan Giggs, he is not ready, and he hasn't proved himself.
