I agree about the contrast between Rosie and Jack. Jack is best when he gets to be a grumpy, so pairing him with the enthusiastic Rosie actually worked well.
Emma and Rosie together would be epic but I don’t think Alex would be able to handle it. I’m really hoping the hotdog costume pays off. Someone laying on the ground questioning their will to continue the task.
@@davidlisteresq I'm interested to see how they introduce it for each contestant in future episodes. I think it's best they keep it as a hot dog for better callback impact
I think that Jack did the smartest thing in getting rid of the costume right away. They don't know what the task will be before they choose, therefore they don't know if the costume will be a help, a hinderance, or neutral. I think it turned out well for Jack in his case because his first task was a memory one. The costume didn't really play any role in whether he won or lost. It also worked out well for him because he netted 8 points for the task, which let him win the ep!
The multi headed task of each of them say one word is actually a slightly adapted classic live improv comedy game. It's always nice to see them take something from the live comedy world.
This episode as well as the previous one are currently the two lowest rated Taskmaster episodes on IMDB, but I honestly enjoyed this one alot than the previous episode. Yeah when Babatunde brought in a viking helmet I was thinking to myself that vikings didn't actually have horns on their helmets.
@@Casey_JonesYeah that probably is the case. Although I wasn't one of those people who was ready to hate it just because of Rosie Jones, and even I was a bit disappointed by episode one. I enjoyed episode two alot more though.
I think both the quality of the tasks and the lack of originality were both on full display for both of the first 2 episodes and detracts from what the comdeians can do. The tasks were: memorize this, half-assed costume task, and roulette. it really doesnt give the comedians a chance to do anything original when they either are just following stage directions or have 0 structure. The best tasks are the ones that feel like making a deal with the devil that the contestants are desperately trying to get out of, not kids at recess or people just trying to follow straight-forward directions. Compare the quality of the tasks to previous seasons, especially the earlier ones and the comedians have almost nothing to work with. Every time jack is disappointed in the quality of each task i seriously sympathize.
Do you have any evidence that it was people from Russia and Saudi Arabia? Or is it just your bigotry and ignorance speaking? I think it's much more likely to be hate filled bigots from the USA and the UK.
I thought I was going to hate this series as I cant stand Rosie Jones. And the first episode was a shaky start (after her talk about the knife in the belly button and the annoying fairy bit). But she was a lot better in episode 2. Didn't try to hog the limelight too much like she normally does, and she even got a chuckle out of me a couple of times. So fingers crossed it continues more like E2 and less like E1.
The worst episode of taskmaster of all series so far. Baba’s efforts were so weak not even accidentally funny, same for the team tasks efforts by all in this episode, plus the tasks themselves were weak, the one remembering the names of the busts was so boring and it ended up taking up two tasks in the end…a pity as the first episode was pretty good..let’s hope tonight’s episode is better

Rosie's prize task and the 'today' riff made me genuinely laugh out loud this ep.

It might be a different costume for each person. Jack had the hotdog but we may be surprised by the others
The tasks are filmed months in advance. It's the same costume.
@@TheCatLady65 Whats the got to do with anything? It could still be a different costume for each person. I dont think it is. But it could be.

The timing of this video is perfect, I’m able to watch it to remind me what happened last week just before I watch this weeks! Love your videos!

22:47 Tamsin Outhwaite is an actress. She used to be in Eastenders.
I thought the introduction of the team of 3 in the recent NZ series was top tier awkwardness, but this definitely ran it close.

It's a regular game on I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, so was presumably used as a nod to Jack Dee (who presents that radio show).
Fun fact, The names of the manikins were originally the names of the "australian rules football team" from season 1 episode 4.
VERY awkward team energy, lol

Feels like that's mostly from the people who don't like Rosie because she's different than them.

i skip rosie, her speech is too painful to listen to
It was the Progress Pride flag. Educate yourself.
She said it was a pride flag. Don't be a pedant.
