@@disconnexionsdotcom I like so many of their songs that are actually not singles more than the many times heard single releases. Your first KC and the Sunshine Band song was "I'm Your Boogie Man" from 1976. And another Florida funk-disco group that had hits the year of this song (1979) was Foxy with their songs "Get Off" and "Hot Number."
KC & the Sunshine Band were the main soundtrack to late '70s dance floors. Most of their songs had very similar arrangements, but it was such an appealing sound, it kept them planted atop the charts for several years. I don't think you've yet reacted to their debut hit "Get Down Tonight," the song that started it all, #1 in fall 1975. I think that should be your next KC song.

I love me some KC and The Sunshine Band! Their vibe will never get old. “Get Down Tonight”, “That's the Way (I Like It)”, “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty”. I wonder if you know the song “Let’s All Chant” by The Michael Zager Band. There's a chance you've heard that one before. Just the title and ooh-ah, ooh-ah and you know half the lyrics to that song. It was a popular disco anthem in 1978.
Back in ‘97, I ended up backstage at their concert in Osaka Japan and ended up going out with band members after the show. It was an epic night that I’ve never forgot 😀!!! Also, and unrelated, you need to revisit Dave Matthews. Their album Remember Two Things came out first. My favorites are “The Song that Jane Likes” and “Dancing Nancies”, more popular hits are “What Would You Say” and “Crash”. Under the Table and Dreaming is a masterpiece.
Another great party 🎉 song is literally called " The Party Song " by Slave ( 1977 ) these guys are truly amazing and most definitely creative in every level. They also got such a groovy section for the Brass Horns plus such a Bass line that blends so well with the smoothness of the drums.
THAT is a great song!! I thought I was the only one who remembered it! Did you know that Steve Washington (trumpet) is Dizzy Gillespie's nephew?!? When I first heard it, (1978?) Taking me back! KC was on the 8-track player in the car a LOT. Pablo Cruise was another fave. Whatcha Gonna Do? and Love Will Find a Way will get you moving too. 💗
My "Ice Storm" band! Pablo Cruise were one of my first concerts ever. I've always been different musically, at 10 kids my age I knew weren't into them. I discovered them via radio. Upon seeing them with my older brother, it was odd but cool because we were the only 2 Black people there. Music is my passion and it is boundless to me! 😂😂
Come to think of it they have not reacted to Pablo Cruise. I've always enjoyed their music. Their version of "I Go to Rio" is just so enjoyable. Another favorite is "Don't Want to Live Without It". They would enjoy Pablo Cruise quite much, yes seems right up their music alley. 👍
I hope that you'll react to CHIC again soon. I know that you reacted to them once before, so hopefully you'll get around to "GOOD TIMES" or "EVERYBODY DANCE. " CHIC was THE disco group of the 70's.

Echoing Beatrice2236!!! SO MUCH FUN!! WARMS YOUR HEART and, for me: brings back memories!! THANKS, YOU-GUYS!! GREAT PICKS, TODAY!!
The dance floor was full, everybody was grooving, the lights were moving and we were having the best time anyone ever had. Don’t knock the Disco, those were just some fun times. Groovy Baby. ✌️
Many people think Miami Sound Machine put us on the map, but it was definitely KC & The Sunshine Band! My friend, Fermin has been the percussionist from day one.
Time for their biggest hit Get Down Tonight 1975!!
😮 Did you ever watch that video? The video was. Walk softly walk software? The Kentucky kentucky head hunters Thai. Do the video walk song please song brother
Just feel good banger!!!
Thanks for doing a great one that isn't an obvious choice. After you get through the #1 hits, try "I Like to Do It" and "Do You Feel Alright"
I was going to suggest this song for New Year's Eve! Was a staple in the late 70's for parties! Gotta reacts to "Get Down Tonight", "Shake Your Booty" or "That's The Way I Like It" next Thanks. 😎
Yes yes yes yes‼️‼️‼️
Love this band!! Musts’ are-“Please don’t go”, “That’s the way I like it” and “Get down tonight.” 💝🩵
Another KC song Thant’s the way I like it.
One of these days you should react to one of their hits.
Right? 🤪
You hit the nail on the head!
Speaking of their horn section, They have a song called Sound Your Funky Horn that should be on your list.
I agree with your comment the horn section was off the chain, I like their horn section Chicago's, Tower of Power , Earth wind & fire , Blood sweat and tears , spiral staircase , The JB's , ELO electric light orchestra , All Offffff the Hoooook 🤩
I have never heard a song from this band that I didn't like!!
Try KC's "Give It Up"!
That is one they did a reaction to already.
“Get Down Tonight”, “Shake Shake Shake Your Booty”, and “That’s the Way I Like It” are all bangers
You gotta react to KC's ballad "Please Don't Go", it's total fire! 🔥🔥🔥
They did react to that song. Check out the reaction some time.

Oh my god ....i haven't heard this since the early 80s.
This is STILL my jam!!
Done Basia? Waters of Match or Cruising for a bruising? And there’s Until you come back to me…. 👏🏼
Before you listen to another KC song, you need to listen to Get Down Tonight and That’s the Way I Like It.
No song is better than “Get Down Tonight” ❤
Taking me back!
Great song. They're a fun vibe! I suggest "Keep It Comin Love."
Jay - Amber - Tomorrow, 12/27 - don't miss Kennedy Center honors on CBS. Honoring Barry Gibb, Billy Crystal, Dionne Warwick and Queen Latifah. Great performances (both Paul McCartney and Dolly will be there)
Jay & Amber, You are overdue for the Great Dionne Warwick's - Walk On By, Do You Know The Way To San Jose, I Say A Little Prayer or Alfie. All Burt Bacharach/Hal David written hit songs.Timeless Music.
Gladys Knight and Chloe Bailey sing two of the above songs on the show!
The ultimate Cook out song
Stevie Wonder suggestion - "Master Blaster".
Any Stevie Wonder is good, but yes "Master Blaster" is a must! It brought me to Reggae.
You guys would love hearing "Boogie Shoes"
Sunshine band, from the Sunshine State: Miami (Hialeah) Florida
They were always one of my favorite groups! Always fun!!😊
When I taught high school mythology I played this song in class to try to convey the energy and enthusiasm ancient Greeks would have as they paraded into town to celebrate the wine harvest, dressed as maenads and satyrs
I remember seeing KC and the Sunshine Band at Yankee Stadium in New York, Chaka Khan came to the stadium drunk😲 and KC had to take her place Real Quick!!!. Jay, Amber let me tell you he "TURN- IT -OUT!!!🔥🔥🔥😎 I never forgot that. But Chaka will always be my Girl.
When I was young I lived in a city and close to a concert venue, had a dream one night that there was a riot at the venue, people turning cars over setting them on fire, police in riot gear, the whole nine yards. The band playing was KC and the sunshine band.
That's the way I like it. Shake, shake, shake. Det down tonight.
Just a fun band!
Please please listen to Kylie Minogue’s Confide in Me or All the lovers. You’ve done a reaction from her U.K. hit in 1988 I should be so lucky and it would be wonderful for you to see how much she had evolved since that song, thanks and keep up the fantastic work, love your channel 😊 x
Why is it nobody seems to know:Queen of Clubs: KCs first massive hit?
