Holy SHIT, I'm just now finding this, and immediately hit play. I loved The Champs and it's one of the few podcasts that I kept up on every time a new episode dropped. It's where I first got familiar with Moshe and Douggpound. Very stoked to hear/watch this. #fuckinwiththechamps #getupofftwitter
dig this format. 75% is static, but that lower right quadrant keeps moving which keeps me ENGAGED. Doug, check the user retention metrics on this shit, it's gonna be SICK!
Having a kid is a trip because it's like a mini replication of yourself. So when they do annoying things it's very humbling because you realize they're doing your things - they're actually mimicking you. So you realize there's annoying things about yourself or flaws about yourself that you didn't realize you had until they start doing them. It's a trip :-) . I have one child and I've always compared it to having too much of your favorite dessert. It's like the greatest thing ever but sometimes it's too much ;)
enjoyed learning about the first white black podcast. also enjoyed neal's nip-cam. really though i love the analysis of doug's drops as a reflection of his sensibilities. it's intuitive but i never thought of it that way. i do a lot of textual collage stuff so i'm always interested in the subject of isolation/appropriation/decontextualization/recontextualization of other people's words. i could listen all day to artists talking about why they work the way they do.
Doug, can the Poundcast please bring on Hamilton Morris of Hamilton's Pharmacopeia to talk about psychedelics? i totally understand Brent's general skepticism, and especially his skepticism with regard to other flawed comedians championing these kinds of things, but Hamilton Morris is so thoughtful on the topic and i think could provide a really perspective-changing point of view.
I think it's mature and great of people who choose to not have kids. It's much much better than having kids because you're "supposed to" and then not liking them. Not everyone is meant to be a parent and that's fine :-) F****** great podcast :-) love you all
So pumped to listen to this as a long time Champs Fan

The next Champs reunion should be after they all do ayahuasca together. Glad Neal is talking openly about it
