Alright, you've convinced me. I'm going to start making shawls. They are so beautiful, but I've been worried I won't wear them because of the shoulder slippage. These fasteners change everything!
I bought a magnetic shawl pin from Rock N More after seeing one on one of your previous videos. That is really a strong magnet! I told them where I saw it. They had no idea you mentioned them. 😁
:D I was able to catch one of their "zoom sales" during the virtual Crochet Guild of America conference last year - so glad I did, they're great! I hope you enjoy yours!
I'm looking forward to the Whispering Arrows Shawl RUclips tutorial. I have some Lion Brand Dotted Line cakes that are a 2 weight. I didn't know what to make with them. I'll try using them to make this shawl. I love shawls. Thanks Tamara!
I'm really bummed I missed the live stream. What I have been seeing is women using shawls while breastfeeding for modesty. LOL..breastfeeding is my bread and butter currently. I have sold so many but ultimately I'm thrilled that shawls have made a comeback. I'll be on the lookout for the new pattern ❤👍🏼
Hi Tamara, sorry missed he live 💜 here I am with a question. Usually when you want the ends longer, the whole shawl ends up so huge and the triangle part just too long. Is there a way to avoid that and do a regular shawl but with longer ends for that look of end of century period.?
Great question! My theory is that those shawls were made so that they are relatively short vs width - working with a gentler slope or angle up the sides, more like a boomerang shape. And of course, back then they were more for practicality so they likely liked them bigger overall for warmth!
@@mooglyblog hmm 🤔 interesting 🌷 thank you for reply. I might try a boomerang, always wanted to, maybe waiting for a fab design. I 💕 shawls, by the way❣️
Love the shawl, but I gotta say I spent WAY to much time shopping for Shawl Buckles, Rings, and clasps :P Oh my lord! I had sooo many in my Amazon shopping cart... I'll never admit how many pretty baubles I bought tonight at 2am :P My husband can just know I got some pretties in a package deal :P That's my story, and I'm sticking to it :P
Hi Tamara - Thanks for all the great ideas! Druzy stones have a natural layer of crystalization so they have that gorgeous *sparkly* look 🤩

Now I need to buy a leather cuff. Lol. Really love the new shawl. It’s beautiful. Will be on the lookout for the pattern ❤️

I learned so much, thanks! Your shawl is beautiful and you look very nice in it.
Thank you so much!

Great video! I need to make a small shawl to wear with a black dress for a presentation I'm giving in 2 weeks, so this was perfect!

Crochet hook as a shawl pin.?...I just may try that!
Hello. Missed the live but I'm here now. 😊
I would like to know how to wear a right-angled triangular shawl ... Tomi from NC
Hi Tomi! I think that's what's shown here, yes?
Love the shawl, but I gotta say I spent WAY to much time shopping for Shawl Buckles, Rings, and clasps :P Oh my lord! I had sooo many in my Amazon shopping cart... Thank you
It would be great if you post links to the shawl “pins”
I wish I had links! Most were picked up in person. :)
Where can I find the pattern for both of these.
went to 2 stores JoAnns and Michaels cannot find the yarn on line or in the store
Bummer! There is a link to it here, you can purchase direct from Yarnspirations: www.mooglyblog.com/whispering-arrows-shawl-tutorial/
Do you have a pattern for the shawl ??
Hi Robin, I linked all the ones I showed here: www.mooglyblog.com/how-to-wear-a-triangle-shawl/ :)
Could you write the title of the fiction you recommended? I’ve replayed you saying it a bunch of times but I couldn’t quite get it
Ficstitches Yarns - www.ficstitchesyarns.com/ :D
Where do you purchase the pins?
Mostly I pick them up at trade shows, yarn and fiber events, and get them as gifts! The one from rocknmoreaccents was my most recent purchase. :)
Hobby Lobby usually carries them.
