    Isaac has to be the most effortless putter out there, I think he's doing a practice stroke and then a second later the disc hits dead center. Him and Calvin make it look easier than anyone else out there

    There's a lot to like about the course. Making players think and decide on the risks they want to take is great. But it's high end punishing. Will be interesting to see how it develops.

      I agree. It's one of the best pieces of property I think I've ever seen. With some tinkering it has so much potential. Not giant changes either, just moving some OB and basket placement would go a very long way. I'm glad people are finally making courses to actually make the best guys struggle though.

    I LOVE the fact that they have to be so precise and careful with 200 foot shots. So many courses on the pro tour if they are on the fairway and within 300 feet it's too easy for them. Hot rounds around 7 down is perfect.

    Hole 18 is so cool! Don't know why the course designer thought roping off everything would make it better. It certainly isn't better for the spectators. Natural OB on the peninsula is just fine. Stroke and distance is just fine too.

    Love the CCDG more and more. 90% because of how Nate is just absolutely great. I just understand the hesitation about telling names of the players who took the big numbers. I mean there is nothing humiliating or so on that, it is just what happens in sport.

    Like the OB, Hazards. Hate courses where a player throws a horrible shot and still gets par. I'm sure this course will get some tweaks, some ob or rollaways into ob are "diabolical". But luv this course for pros. This is a type of place where you could play worlds like in the old days with seven rounds.

    The OB lines on 18 are too punitive, same goes for a lot of the course. Like, there doesn't need to be a line several feet back from the edge of a steep hill that drops into the river. The river is OB, and a precious few discs that trickle over the edge will get lucky and stay in, but 98% are going in the water anyway. And certainly if your disc stays on top of the bank above the river, it should be inbounds. It's already hard enough, the course design is great without all the extra-punitive ob lines. Shout out to Jay Mccarthy and JT Rhoades, place looks great. Just ditch the paint cans next time.

    • @bluebomber6947
      @bluebomber6947 Год назад

      I agree, but not along the river. Having the line back from the bank mitigates erosion and speed of play issues.

    • @turdferguson1945
      @turdferguson1945 Год назад +1

      @@bluebomber6947 it doesn't mitigate erosion cause you're still gonna go get your disc. Same with play speed.

    Just make hole 18 a par 5. It would be so sweet to see these guys play for a 4 strategically. OR have that one guy who needs the strokes go for a 3. OR you need to coast to win, so you throw a few chip shots for the 5 and par.

    I’ll be honest, the first look I got at this property on film, I immediately contemplated planning a trip there. The more I see of it, the less appealing it becomes. Not sure what it plays like in normal play, but a lot of the OB seems like it’s permanent, given the rock placement.

  • @scottywells8155
    @scottywells8155 Год назад

    You guys do a great job of coverage. I just think you need to stop complaining about 18 or any other hole being to hard. Everyone has to play it, so that makes it fair. A few of things I think is wrong with disc golf rules just from a chump is: #1 being able to putt from a previous lie when you get a roll away. A roll away should just be a risk of the putting game. #2 is the rules is the casual relief rule stated that you can back up your lie if an obstacle is in your way. If you make a bad throw and have a bad lie, you should just have to scramble and deal with it. The 3rd is the 3 meter rule, to me being to high in a tree is just as unplayable as being submerged in water. It should be a penalty stroke from beneath the lie. All this wining about being to tough on the players is ridiculous. It's a professional sport, so it's supposed to be tough......

    So many holes with unnecessary artifical OB. If you're relying on painted lines that much, you're not picking the right spot to place holes. There's so much room on this property with great natural places that punish without fake lines. Ugh.

  • @netposerx
    @netposerx Год назад

    All this artificial OB makes this hard to watch. So much of the course will punish you enough with bad footing and natural obstacles.

    The OB is absolutely ridiculous. Too punitive, incredibly tight (smaller than the circle a lot of times and barely bigger than bullseye in some spots), takes away scrambling. And the basket height on hole 16 is laughable. Beautiful course. Potentially a great course, but needs some changes.
