Where did you get the coil relocation from, I am putting one of these into my Holden VE SS ute and am looking for a coil relocation bracket so I can use the rocker covers.
question!!! what kind of intake , fuel system and coil packs are you using are they they factory ls3 stuff? and does all the sensors just bolt on to the lsx block?

My brother and I have had the same argument lol, I am preparing to put a LS3 in a 1976 short bed chevy after I get the body straight. He thought we should keep the old small block and hot rod it. I may have finally explained the reasoning behind the swap as reliability and power is nearly impossible to achieve for the same money with the old engines.

@inteligentvtec it is a ls3 block but as you said some improvements have been made the only reason they went with it is because the cylinder walls are thicker than the ls7. but lsx 454 is king then ls7 for me lol. n/a power rules lol.
Is that all cast iron, I believe the 6 bolt cylinder heads are cast iron only? Because the stock engine was an all aluminum design. Just not a fan of understeer
im thinking about dropping the LSX in this 1970 chevelle ss im buying. it only costs 9k the engine and produces 620hp with titanium parts etc. if i supercharge it, this will be the fuel injected chevelle from hell. hands down the LSX is amazing.
@fatdan172501 close but not quite. the ls3 and ls9 have the same dimesnions. both are 103.25 x 92. but the ls9 being boosted has piston squirters and is strengthened in the bottom end, but is very simular to the ls3. but ofcourse the ls7 is the best of them all!

@calbert1999 I don't believe in hear say so don't have much to say but the engine is only under warranty if NO outside modifications are done. They tried and most likely screwed up and want GM to cover it, add something to a new camaro and see how fast the warranty voids, do it with any new car and watch your head spin it voids so fast.
now that new camaro is worthy of being called a camaro. I love camaro's but the new camaro isnt retro enough for me and every new maro I see sounds like an econo car. Thats why this camaro is worthy of being called a camaro, it has the "chevy thunder" its suppose to have and the horses to back it up, Good stuff guys thats a camaro to be proud of :) now go smoke them ford, dodge and import guys.
Where's the specs, come on show the dyno run and have you thought about Turbocharging this beast? I'm not too fond of Superchargers, I love diesels and Camaro's but can't understand why only a few play with a turbo, oh and you don't need an intercooler to turbocharge a car. That's something ricers do cause they think it's cool, just go nab a GM4 Borg Warner off a 6.5L diesel and start tuning. I swear it will deliver more HP for less money than a supercharger. The intercooler helps cool is all.
