Had to play this video more than once before I could get a good idea on my vocal limits. Turns out I range between a G flat 3 to an E4 naturally. I tend to imitate Cher when I feel like goofing off singing, but I have a very low, nasally voice to begin with, so when I naturally sing I tend to have a combination of Choir voice and Flipper because my voice also has a tendency to crack sometimes in my natural speech patterns. I’ve also had moments on voice calls for being mistaken for a boy because my voice is low for a female
Great video! Looking forward for the video, where you explain how to position oneself in the usual choir voices (bass, tenor, alto, soprano) based on this 😉
Girl I swear I used a note identifier while singing my notes and I reached a g2 as lowest and a e6 as highest in my singing voice and I can reach a g7 doing a whistle note. I do not believe I have that big of a range but I cannot decide which are my best notes, I glued singing lower is more relaxing for me but I can still get those high pitches
Idek how to comprehend any of this. It's like hearing a bird whistle & ppl asking u to identify it's loudness from 1-10. Then saying by 8 did you mean from the purple side of the spectrum or the red side of the color spectrum. By yellow did u mean by mixing it with blue. Etc etc. I just mimic singers. In my head I just told myself I'm a messo alto? Idek the term. Bc I can hit notes, I just feel like I'm straining myself more. Sure I can hit g notes & other ish I'm excluding bc even tho they show up, they just show up less... But that's just me goofing around. Maybe if I had training idk. But I guess alto is my average thing. I hit all kinds of random notes. Which I should be proud of myself for? But my average result is alto bc that's prob just my comfort zone. As my results state. But then again I have no clue wth im I'm talking about either... &Don't plan on actually being a singer. But I did always wonder like what part of the scale I fall under. Lol I used to sing to my guinea pigs & they'd be leaning on the top of their massive cages, propped up like the cutest audience looking at me like yep. See y'all? That's My human right there. -proud piggies. Haha I couldn't believe id get them to listen to me. Considering I thought most animals had sensitive ears. Now I just sing to my toddler. Like my piggies before she has no other choice but to be my "number 1 fan."
My favorite singers to sing along with are Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Luther Vandross, Toni Braxton, and some of the lower songs of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston (specifically I Have Nothing). In Sweet Adelines, I sing Baritone and Bass, but since they were looking for low singers we didn't check how high I could go. Sometimes when I'm really warmed up and breathing well I can go pretty high and still sound like I'm singing and not squealing 🙂 I will try following along with this when it isn't 3a.m.
I was very happy when I realized Lisa is very much capable of playing Christine in Phantom if she wanted to, speaking of which can you do a cover of Think of Me Lisa 😉?
Grr, stopped at C2 and I was just getting started, lol. To be fair, only around 1% of men can sing below C2 in full chest voice, though; my lowest full chest note is F1.
Wow. Stumbled across your channel listening ton react videos of Dimash and Diana - I'm not sure if you've heard of the latter - Diana Ankudinova. Just checked my range and it appears to be A2 to C#5. Always loved singing but never had the confidence to do anything with it due to high functioning/Aspergers. I happen to have a load of karaoke software on my PC, going to check out more songs by Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, John Mayer, Nat King Cole, Adam Levine, Bruno Mars and Bryan Adams. I've already known I'm able to sing nearly all of Annie Lennox's songs and just looked her up to find her range is D3 to G#5. Thank-you!
I'm a 2nd Tenor, lowest workable note B2 up to C5 which is my highest workable note,I sing in our local choir although we're not called upon generally to sing lower than D3or higher than A4/B4.
My range is a F2 to G#4. I have no professional vocal training and was wondering if this is likely my full range. If it is, is it possible to expand it through proper training?????
Hi, quick question … I’m a female singer, and according to your keyboard my vocal range is A3-D6. Does that make me a mezzo-soprano or soprano proper? Thank you! Update: I recently downloaded this app called vocal coach from Sing Sharp and it told me I was a soprano with a full vocal range of G3-E6. On a good day, I can hit an F6, and I’ve done so a handful of times, but not enough to feel comfortable including it in my official range. Any pointers? Thanks!
14 seconds ago? no likes no comments ? I'm so happy to be the first one to see this videooooooo and yesss this is what I've been waiting for !!! yayyyyyyyy
Yes,high Baritone or 2nd Tenor.I'm basically the same as you one note higher,my lowest note is B2 and my highest note is C5 and I always classify myself as 2nd Tenor/Low Tenor or bottom Tenor(all the same thing.)
Hello, Mrs. Lisa👋 Are falsetto and head voice counted in vocal range? 🤔 Or does it only count chest voice? To be honest, I'm really exhausted of my vocal range. Could you give us efficient ways to improve vocal range, please? Much appreciate 🙆🏻♂️
It would be possible to transpose them. The easiest way, where also instrumental arrangements/karaoke versions don’t need to be changed would be go an octave lower or higher. Or you can also transpose the whole key signature, so if you’re song in F-Major is too high for you, you could transpose it to E, D, C, A… whatever major. But for this you‘ll normally need matching instrumentals. But there are also technical tools/music players which can transpose songs/audio files to different key signatures.
G6 I haven't had any vocal training, though just a huge passion of music is that good? But I'm looking into singing more like a career I have billie eilish type voice mix with the girl in the song cups. Could I be successful
Range is not the only thing that plays a role in determining your voice type, other factors such as your tessitura (notes you can comfortably sing) and timbre/tone (the quality of your voice, how it sounds) plays a much bigger part when it comes to identifying what you are. A#2/Bb2-C6 is very wide for a female. If your voice sounds much more thick, dark and deep than most if not majority of other females you've met (maybe even almost a bit similar to men) you'd be classified as a Contralto (the lowest female singing voice known for its rich, low-pitched sound). Now, if your voice sounds a bit darker/deeper than Sopranos however not reaching that level of depth even at low notes/sounds like Contraltos you'd be classified as a Mezzo-Soprano (female voice that lies between the Soprano & Contralto voice types, can sing higher than a Contralto but not higher than a Soprano. Can sing lower than a Soprano but not lower than a Contralto). Which would make a bit more sense considering Bb2-C6 covers both Alto (F3-F5) and Soprano (C4-C6) notes. Hope this helps, sorry I'm so late lol.
Range is not the only thing that plays a big role in determining your voice type, other factors like tessitura (notes you can comfortably sing/hit) and timbre/tone (the quality of your voice & how it sounds) play big parts! If your tone sounds a bit darker than Sopranos (people like Ariana Grande) but doesn't have that level of depth like Contraltos (people like Cher) you would be classified as a Mezzo-Soprano, which is a female who can sing higher than a Contralto but not higher than a Soprano, lower than a Soprano but not lower than a Contralto. Now, if your voice sounds way thicker, and much more low-pitched and richer than both Sopranos and Mezzos even when hitting the same note/pitches, you'd undoubtedly be a Contralto, which is a female who can sing very low and has a much more deeper and darker voice than majority of females (like Mezzos and Sopranos)
Hy Singeo I can hit a F4 but my voice seems to break to go from the previous note, and I go into a different tone, does that makes sense, does that count and what's going on there. Thanking you in advance.
I've said this numerous amount of times, and other people have as well. Your range does not determine your voice type, it may give you an idea but its not something you can just straight up classify yourself as without considering other factors such as your timbre/tone (the way your voice sounds, the quality of it) and tessitura (notes you can comfortably sing/hit). If your voice sounds darker, deeper and a bit thicker than Mezzos, you'd be a Contralto as they're known for their voices being rich, low-pitched. If you sound a bit lighter than Contraltos then you'd be a Mezzo (who can sounds lighter than a contralto but not lighter than a Soprano and lower than a Soprano but not lower than a Contralto)
Hi there! I am re-learning to sing after years of being "out of practice" since high school (I'm at college-age for reference), and I just recently discovered my vocal type as more of an alto after having done some research and feedback. I am technically a complete beginner after having not properly sung for so long, so where do I go from here? Would I just go straight for alto-specified exercises? Stick with these daily exercises? I need a regimen haha. Anyone is welcome to answer! Thanks :)
I'm guessing you're a guy, if you are, you'd be classified as a Tenor, which is a male who can sing very high compared to other males. Your voice, especially in the higher registers is much more lighter compared to other male voices.
Howdy Lisa, I'm at my highest at E5 and lowest G2, but it would be so wonderful to get to that Mariah Carey whistle! I know I'm clearly delusional, but one can dream! 🤩 I could hit those notes when I was a boy, before that pesky testosterone reared its ugly head! 🤣
3:15 that laugh. Sold. Looking forward to all videos with such a fun personality. Subscribed 🎉
I think my neighbours thought I'd stubbed my toe.
😅😂😂😂
I, too, do an entire vocal scale when I stub my toe
😂
I was not prepared for that high note

Okay Lisa is doing vocal videos! Piano & vocal queen! I always knew she was a soprano.
I just love you vibe and energy!
C3-E5!! without falsetto!! That's an improvement from last week!
When will you teach the guitar? You teach so well 🔥
Girl I swear

You made me smile and feel happy today.
Thank you very much. Your bubbly fun attitude is refreshing
Damn! Just figured out that I´ve got insane range from damn low to deafening high! What am I supposed to do with my voice now?!
My favorite singers to sing along with are Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Luther Vandross, Toni Braxton, and some of the lower songs of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston (specifically I Have Nothing). Hahaha you are a lovely coach! So much humor ❤
I guess it would be useful to use a Chromatic tuner app so that you know that you are singing the same note you are playing on the piano.
A chromatic tuner is a great tool for singers!
Im a Bass, my range naturally right now is C2 - D6
A2 thru C6. But I've worked very hard on keeping my natural bigger range and expanding it.
In choir, I would sometimes be assigned tenor, all the way up to Sop 1.
That’s impressive 😭😭 I wish lolol
Wow. Stumbled across your channel listening ton react videos of Dimash and Diana - I'm not sure if you've heard of the latter - Diana Ankudinova. Just checked my range and it appears to be A2 to C#5. This was so helpful, thank you! This must explain why I find it so fun and comfortable to sing Lana Del Rey ❤
Lisa starts at C4, My highest note I can sing(normally) is C4
And lowest is A2,
So bummed :/
I've done a lot of these, my range is an A2-B5, I am a tenor.
Husband walks in: Was that you screaming?
Thank you.
I'm a 2nd Tenor, lowest workable note B2 up to C5 which is my highest workable note,I sing in our local choir although we're not called upon generally to sing lower than D3or higher than A4/B4.
my lowest not was an F3 and my highest was a C6 but I can’t seem to know which vocal range I’m in
My range is a F2 to G#4. I have no professional vocal training and was wondering if this is likely my full range. If it is, is it possible to expand it through proper training?????
You need to try to use head voice too :P You just checked your chest voice range.

Ab2 to F5
C3 to G5. I prefer the middle though. My voice is a lot like Lana Del Ray.
That's pissing me off I can reach C3 sometimes, but other times I can't
C2-D6 (from my lowest note in chest voice to my highest note in head voice)
My vocal range is from A#2 to C#6 ☺️
I think my vocal range matches to Ariana Grande but I cannot hit the whistle notes like her😢
By the way thankyou fir the lesson lisa❤
Found out today that I can do whistle notes without any warmup... and I don't even know how to sing
Went up to C#7
A2
14 seconds ago? no likes no comments ? I'm so happy to be the first one to see this videooooooo and yesss this is what I've been waiting for !!! yayyyyyyyy
YAY!! Beaulah wins FIRST VIEW (and like, and comment)!! 🏆 😊
F6 is in whistle. A2, I have to lower my lyrinx a lot, but the sound comes out.
Is it that you press the note and sing the note to how long you holding it down??
um what am I supposed to do with a A0 to C6
A2 low note
B4 high note
High baritone/Tenor depending on where you are most comfortable
Yes,high Baritone or 2nd Tenor.I'm basically the same as you one note higher,my lowest note is B2 and my highest note is C5 and I always classify myself as 2nd Tenor/Low Tenor or bottom Tenor(all the same thing.)

@ thanks! I think I’m a mezzo soprano
My lowest is like, d#2, highest is e4
My vocal range is mostly E2-A5. I'm a high tenor.

A2-f6
Gb2 to e6 that was hard haha im more comfortable with tanor like adam levine etc
I have a very big range from a g2 to an A5 who would be compared to?
What is Db3 to A5 ?

Hi are you answering the post on here?
How about a Jeff Castellucci voice?
I'm shook. I have C3 to C6. I'm a soprano??

What does it mean when you can sing very high but not high if it makes sense like I'm unable to sing g4 and above but can sing c5# why?

Howdy Lisa, I'm at my highest at E5 and lowest G2, but it would be so wonderful to get to that Mariah Carey whistle! I know I'm clearly delusional, but one can dream! 🤩 I could hit those notes when I was a boy, before that pesky testosterone reared its ugly head! 🤣
I’m 12 and I have the lowest range of bass
