Keep trying, when I descend on sweeps, I use legato, but when I sweep down (or ascending) I sweep pick all the way through. Some sweeps cause me to have to sweep descending(up) too, so it’s a bit difficult but still great because I still learn how to do it.
i played with my index finger's nail for years and had a very good level. one day i realised i was leaving a lot of dynamics on the table now i play with a pic and everything is better except i had to work on hybrid picking. The only thing i can't do with the pick is sweep picking it feels like shit while with my nail so smooth. very frustrating Thanks for the video bro and sorry for the long comment
awesome that you develop your skills over the years Sweeping was easier to learn for me because I was used to alternate pick everything One thing you can do is to seperately train the right hand without any arpeggios --> simply get the movement under your fingers and the rest is synchronisation Keep on shredding!
the most difficult thing of sweeping is to mute all the strings. in downward motion you can do a lot with your picking hand but upwards it´s necessary to have a good fretting hand technique
