Swanay Mohanty I think Christopher Drake is good at capturing the emotions and themes for great Batman storyline’s. His TDKR and Red Hood themes are fantastic and fully capture the world and weight of the story, but Walkers theme encompasses the entire nature of Batman/Bruce Wayne’s charachter and dark world he operates in
Agreed. Zimmer is good but not a good fit for Batman. Elfman’s is iconic and the most famous one out there (depending on who you ask). Walker’s is perfect: 9 notes perfectly capture the essence of both Bruce and the Bat.
Okay so I'm a little late to the party. But I do want to comment on your 3 tracks you made. Because I think they are great. The Danny Elfmen track flowed really great. Giving off a more mysterious element leading to the most triumphant rendition of the theme. It shows that Gothams story has ended so Batman can begin. The Zimmer theme was good. Had a great build up that just kept building until we see Batman. It's Big Bombastic and Epic. However Shirley Walker's rendition of the theme is both haunting and beautiful. Now I've seen the 3 video a couple of time's over the last week due to lack of internet. However the scene with Selina on the roof shows how music can illustrate a feeling. With the Elfmen cut it is very mysterious and atmospheric and ends with a tinge of hope. Maybe that one day they will get together. Zimmer's theme is haunting however maybe this might piss people off but it felt a bit bland to me. However it is still good. But using Andrea and Bruce's love song from Phantasm was beautiful. It adds an element of complexity and tragedy. And when Selina says her dialogue it adds weight thanks to the music. So when Batman shows up and the music kicks it adds extra tragedy and parallels the Phantasm scene as Andrea gave up her true love for vengeance and in this Bruce gave up his true love Selina to become something more then Bruce. He became Batman. It also shows how talented Shirly Walker was and a truly gifted person. So thanks for making these videos. Not sure you'll ever see this comment but they are really well done and are fantastically executed.
Like, this Gordon and the whole GCPD have to know, right? “Hey remember that kid who dressed all in black and helped us stop numerous bad guys? Yeah, he’s back in town exactly when this Batman guy appeared. What a bizarre coincidence!”
Hopefully no, Batman TAS ruined Batman for years to come with kids appeal and the atrocious Harley Quinn and Gotham was unwatchable trash so....hopefully no.
I LOVE David Russo's work on Gotham as it's Iconic, something new but very familiar. It's very Burtonesque. But Shirley Walker has the single best batman ost. So emotional. So many different emotions.
If only Warner Bros. gave Fox permission to use Joker & Harley Quinn’s names, as well as use the Shirley Walker music, this would’ve been a much cooler series ending. Also, am I the only one wishing the Batsuit had reflective lenses like in the cartoons?
It’s anachronistic to try and fit this style of composition over this contemporary show where TV scores have evolved in a specific way. This here is not honoring Walker at all because one can hardly think of a more dissonant fit between what’s on screen with its context and what’s playing. We have a young Bruce on top of which you place a theme of a seasoned Batman lol
Muhammad Haider I don’t remember much now but, i remember the battle with “Joker” was really anticlimactic and underwhelming. I also wasn’t a fan of the time jump that happened. And I cant remember anything else as I haven’t seen it in a while. But thats just my opinion, if you like it that’s cool
RIP Shirley Walker. 🦇
RIP Kevin Conroy. 🦇
Shirley Walker's Batman score always give me chills.
Hers, Elfman's, Zimmer's and Goldenthall's.
RIP K3vin Conroy
This works better over dialogue than the Danny Elfman mixes.
I've actually done a Danny Elfman edit and I think it's come out better than this one. I might upload it later.
@@BenyBois I'll be pleased to see it. But the ones so far have been a little clumsy. . . and I have a soft spot for Shirley Walker's score anyway.
Danny Elfman edit is up: ruclips.net/video/nk9-WoIpr8c/видео.html
This scene is even better with the shirley Walker music
R.I.P. Shirley Walker
Completely changes that scene!
Agreed !!
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Did anyone else notice that older Selena sounded almost exactly like Andrea Beaumont from mask of the phantasm
Now that you mentioned it, you are right
That ending music is so powerful, it has this feeling of finality, you know? It's amazing
Danny elfman not bad but no so great
Hans Zimmerman was good but
Shirley Walker is the Perfect Theme for Batman The Dark Knight
dude what about Christopher Drake?

Shirley Walker’s theme borrowed heavily from Danny Elfman’s work. No Elfman=No Walker.
@@gawainethefirst yeah i know but the Shirley Walker make it even great

Holy SH1TE! That was perfectly edited and timed. Bravo! RIP Shirley.
"Who is he?"
"That's a rich dude dressed up as a giant bat O_o"
"Master Wayne.. Would you come down from there please?"
Kevin Conroy vibes with this music 😢 RIP
R.i.P. Shirley Walker and Kevin Conroy 🙏🏾🙏🏾😢
My thoughts during the last minute:
“This. Is. AWESOME SAUCE!”
The music, the scene, the lines. Perfect!
The credits are a nice touch
YES!! and using Phantasm?!

Thanks for the detailed comment. Glad you enjoyed the videos.
@2BenyBoi Well thanks for making them. They were truly great to watch.
This is the version of that scene that I will always consider as canon.
Oh god this one makes it.............. more emotional 😭
Love the fact you used the end credits theme from BTAS
this is so good i cut off the parts of the episode you edited and replaced them with this for my viewing pleasure
Masterfully edited!!!
The real batman
This was my favorite batman (theme) when i was growing up
HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME
This scene would have been perfect if the bat-suit didn't look like it was stitched together from drapes for a costume party.
No wonder Batman doesn’t get his tv series
He’s new to being batman.of course his new suit is bad
@@Mirrorcomics24 I'm pretty sure that wasn't the reason in this case :p
@@gerardjayetileke4373 no but pretend it was
@@Mirrorcomics24 mmm... Tried, but nope. I cannot unsee drapes when i look at that suit.
Honestly this is just incredible. They really should've done this!!!

Will there ever be an animated series like Batman TAS?
Will there ever be a show like Gotham?
Metropolis?
@@ATLienMJ ???
hopefully not. Whatever comes next, I just hope its a take so good nobody can imagine a recreation.
@@umjammerlammy9993 I can say the same about the entire MCU.

Holy shit it actually worked 😳
This was perfect.
Beautiful
2:24 my favorite part
I want the whole series with tas music now xD
Perfect choice second favourite batman theme after elfman
I have to say Gotham's ending is like Smallville's, the principal character becomes the hero of his city and then it's finished
If only Warner Bros. gave Fox permission to use Joker & Harley Quinn’s names, as well as use the Shirley Walker music, this would’ve been a much cooler series ending. Also, am I the only one wishing the Batsuit had reflective lenses like in the cartoons?
Superb
Perfect absolutely perfect 👌
This one’s perfect I love the Gotham TV show but my only one thing I wish they could’ve made Cameron bicondova Older than she looked
That outfit looked.....dumb. These Hollywood folks never seem to get it right.
Tv budget, but honestly if cosplayers can do a better suit with even less. Gotham should have an amazing suit
I wonder if the People behind This wanted Gotham to be a Prequel for BTAS ehh

Walmart batman suit kinda ruins it.
The suit isn't that bad. It's more the eyes and mouth.
Essa cena dublada vai ser show
E foi mesmo. Pena que não teve essa trilha sonora.
they should have made a season six
Why do I look like a 5 year old man in this?
We need this scene with affleck's sountrack!!!
That would be epic. I can try. Some of his best tracks won't work here.
Parece un batman adolescente
AND WHY WASN'T THIS USED ❓️‼️🤬🤬
In my opinion this was honestly one of the worst endings to a tv show ive watched, i was so dissapointed
Really why?
