Would you happen to be familiar with a problem I’m having on my 1996 sl500 with an m119 that upon startup it revs itself repeatedly but once you halfway turn it off then back on it stops? Any idea how to fix this problem?

I would start by making sure it is not a low-voltage issue. May require some thorough electrical testing. Too much battery internal resistance. Weak or intermittent alternator, bus wire and battery connections, etc. After that try to pull any diagnostic trouble codes with the proper code reader.
