    Would love to see a video for dropping a 71 C20. No c notching just a regular lowering kit. Something someone can do without cutting anything. Tons of vids on c10’s. But I got a c20. Thanks in advance.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 года назад +4

      C10, C20 are basically the same, front is 100% the same. Rear is only different if you have leaf springs on your C20. As far as not cutting anything, that's easy, don't do a drop that's more than 3" front and 4" rear, you won't have to do anything extra.

    • @dyer2cycle
      @dyer2cycle 3 года назад +3

      ..why on earth would you want to drop a C-20?..it's a 3/4 ton work truck...I have had mine 25 years, it isn't pretty, but it still works, every day..trusty and faithful work truck...1970 C-20...granny 4 speed, 292 I6, low geared posi rear end...terrible gas mileage, she isn't fast, but she'll pull like a beast, reliable, no electronic gremlins like a newer truck...am I the only one who still uses a 67-72 as a work truck?...seems like all anybody else uses them for now is as toys....

    • @carrion4435
      @carrion4435 3 года назад +1

      @@dyer2cycle if you read my comment I clearly state no cutting. Which means whatever is Potentially done could be reversed. My c20 does not have a granny gear and I like the lowered look. So “IF” I did lower it, don’t worry it’ll be MINE, so you can keep looking at YOUR truck in all it’s beautiful original form. And I could be a lil more pleased with mine. I don’t understand today’s society where we all must like the same thing. God made us all different for a reason.

      A - C20 is a great work truck . No modern day Gimmicks. Like we got now . Pulling machine. Gets tha job done . Easy to fix too .
      I’m still driving my 50-yr Old 72’ Cheyenne 1/2 Ton. Same A/C too, same Motor. Not very pretty . It takes care of my needs. No new EXPENSIVE TRUCK . For me . But hey to each there own . Customizing . If I need something bigger I’ll use my sons New GMC DULLEY . 👍🏻

      @@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV I’ve been looking up info on this, the only part that seems as if it’s not interchangeable is the radiator core support. The rest of the parts mention aside from the front bumper (I’m using a custom made one with the brackets for a 69 blazer I bought)- fenders, hood, and anything else that’s attached to the front end are all the same part numbers. Can you confirm all I need is rad core support? I appreciate your info.

    any good ways of polishing a grill

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 года назад

      Not really. The coating on them is called Brite Dip, and over time is just oxidizes. You would have to remove it and polish the raw metal underneath to get any results, but then you're left with constant maintenance of the finish. We have had some luck spraying a fresh clear coat over Brite Trim, which does seem to restore the shine and remove imperfections, but we suggest if you do that you choose a spot you can test the result first before doing the entire thing.

    • @ronster6656
      @ronster6656 3 года назад

      @brett burwell - I agree 100% with everything Brothers says. It’s a LOT of work and it will require regular maintenance, but if you want to see it done and some incredible results, check out a guy on YT that goes by “gibson63”. He did the aluminum grille for his ‘63 C10 and it looks unbelievable. These are his instructions (good, but not easy):
      “Start by washing with soap and water, then spray with oven cleaner (with sodium hydroxide in it), let it set for 15 minutes. Wash off then repeat one more time. Start wet sanding with 320/600/1000/2000 then hand polish with Mothers until it shines...then polish some more. This took me about 14 hours in all.”
