This is the most in-depth muffler delete video I’ve seen on RUclips. Much respect, added to my favorites list.
Sounded pretty damn good stock as well!
Yeah it really did, just wish it would’ve been a tad bit louder.
is it too loud now? I did that to my 350z and it sounded good but was too loud. ended up putting N1 type muffler@@AlexGray
This is pretty loud but I’m ok with it, however the drone is pretty bad and makes me want to add mufflers.
@@AlexGray i just did this 4 days ago and my car sounds loud asf😂😂and drone isn't too bad in the car
yea a lot of the older series did , unfortunately now all the newer models are more focused on efficiency and epa regulations
FULL STRAIGHT PIPE NEXT BRO! MUCH LOVE LOVE THE VIDS!
E46 M3 is my favorite looking bmw and E92 is my favorite sounding. Can’t beat that v8 sound.
E92 M3 is a BMW’s masterpiece 👌🏽
I love your layout of exhaust differences. Amazing job.
Catless x pipe and no resonators will compliment that straight pipe rear end really well
Probably the smoothest sounding crossplane crank v8
Sounds much better! Exhaust work on our cars creates a whole different beast! Same with a tune 😉 Keep up the good work man ✌
muffler delete isn't a straight pipe...
Replacing a muffler with a straight pipe is... a straight pipe.
No... that’s called a muffler delete.
“Straight pipe” is catlessDP/resonator delete/muffler Delete. Much louder than yours... because it’s STRAIGHT PIPED.
Right, in which I would have said STRAIGHT PIPED, or fully straight piped or straight pipes as in multiple sections removed and straight piped. This being just a muffler delete and replaced with a straight pipe would just be a singular straight pipe.
Alex Gray this isnt a straight pipe at all idk of you dont get what hes saying.
@@AlexGray it wouldn't be straight pipe, it would be a clickbait...
Literally sounds perfect now. Dream car for sure
That's perfect! Sounds good to me.
First of all... thank you for putting out this amazing content out for us viewers to watch, shit means a lot and great work with the cinematography
great comparison video. Surprisingly your stock setup is pretty loud. They're usually even a lot quieter from what I've heard in person..
best sounding bmw of all time
Best sounding V8 ever made.. no doubt in my mind. I love my Rival
My fav non-Ferrari V8. Sounds sick!
that tone at 1:42 with the light purr in third rollin slow is one of the most intoxicating sounds the s65 makes imo.
Love your videos man you deserve more attention .
Thank you man I really appreciate that
Replace the secondary cats and resonators with an X pipe and after market resonators, the resonators will help with drone while making it a bit louder on the outside maybe a tiny power gain and some weight loss
Much respect on the attention to details in this video!
4:19 those new grills do look better than the old ones
Stock sounds to feminine, for the money the muffler delete is really perfect. IPE with headers is still King though.
I have a muffler delete on my 09 E60 M5 but I'm going to install the Meisterschaft Section 1 and X-pipe next week, should get insane --> headers next year!
Philipp K does the muffler delete on your m5 drone
Andrew Xie Nothing drones ever, the car is extremely silent in the interior and that‘s how it should‘ve come from the factory. Also I have a gutted OEM muffler, which is like a muffler delete, but maybe 5% more silent.
@@mehulsingh2403 There's no adverse impact on performance, with an exhaust you won't get noticeable HP but you surely don't lose any HP.
Headers for an NA engine or downpipes for a turbocharged engine, that's where the horsepower is at.
Mehul Singh if people talk about back pressure, especially when it‘s about a car they have no idea.. If you talk about a 2-stroke, then ok.
Best sounding BMW don’t @ me
You @re correct sir
E60 m5
E46 m3/e60 m3 imo
@@Splendidtelevision and E39 and E36
Slim Shady I feel like the e46 perfected the sound of the already fantastic e36. They are the two best sounding i6 of all time.
Great comparison man.
Also a great sounding BMW.
Normally, BMWs sound shitty piped. Yours sound sick. I wouldn't go any further and do anything else to the exhaust but maybe deleting secondary cats if it's still got them on to see how it sounds. Just gotta watch you don't go too far making it sound shitty.
Good job so far!
neverendingmods I agree, most people spend thousands on a bmw exhaust that sounds like shit. This on the other hand was done cost effective & result a nice sounding car!
Sounds much better :) :) - but that muffler is part of the aerodynamics for the car. The OEM muffler creates a flat underbody for the rear of the car and now you may have a pocket for all the air to get trapped in. Might be wrong, thought I read it somewhere.
That is a very good point
Sounds great! Not many 6cyl won't get a note like that even with mods
E9x M3’s have a V8
@@BMWAddictE90 I was actually looking at buying a 2013 V8 M3 a few years ago, the last year they were made. For some reason I thought this car was newer than 2013. Now it makes sense
Even the before was good!
Honestly the video may not do it justice, but they did the muffler right on this car, it sounds perfect stock. More volume is great but i think you ruined the beauty of the sound in place of more noise. I think the perfect solution would be to find a reputable cat back system that is not too pricey but maintains the original sounds but just adding a bit more power and volume
What else? inside with trunk open before, after
Don’t tempt me
The last before and after is called an “approach”
You gotta Toyota license plate cover fam? We gotta have a talk. 🧘♂️🧘♂️ lol
I removed it shortly after lmao
Yo ! This video is awesome! I’m literally planning to do this tomorrow and I had no clue but this video showed me and now I’m sure what I want
Thank you, beware of the drone though it sucks. Sounds amazing from outside though.
@@AlexGray what is that?
It’s like an annoying, deep humming sound at low RPMs when cruising on the highway
Nice comparison, thank you for sharing!
finally a video how it has to be taken! great job man! first comment in my life for a RUclips vid by the way lol!so you know i loved it!
Thanks man, means a lot!
Great video you covered everything, time well spent, thanks for the video
Thanks mate, amazing vid 👍🏼
Sounds beautiful😍
Holy crap this is perfection
Sounds SO good
Nicely executed and edited video : ) How does it sound inside to you personally...? What kind of mixed fuel economy do you actually get?
Way too much drone below 3000 rpm, I really dont like it, but anything past that sounds incredible. I get 16.8 mpg
That’s sounds glorious
Sounds amazing 🤩
Excellent video. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice Job! I wish my car would even like yours in stock lol
Great video!
Great video
10/10 video
thanks bro for this video. I found, what i want to do on mine. great, the best sound for no investment.
Glad I could help but just know that there is drone!
@@AlexGray i has no drone. Once i will finish my exhaust, I'll show you, what else did I do.
Stock with some cars is as good as you can get. Exhaust wise.
i like it .. next mod forsure thanks mate
Would love to see the OEM clips cut with the cherry bombs... I'm actually doing that setup based on your other vid, except using flowmaster super 10 single chambers instead of cherry bombs
Good video idea, I'll probably do that. I thought about getting the super 10s but they were more expensive... Let me know how it sounds.
Great vid! My dream bimmer .....and my e36
Nice 👌
That sounds mad I’m thinking of doing mine the same thing
Beautifull video am saving 3k going your way...💪💪💪
Beware as it does have drone!
Isn't this the BabaYagaRS M3?
Sounds better than any american v8
Nice!!
The best exhaust on the E92 M3 is no exhaust at all
No pops?
Nice! Question: is there significant drone with three straight pipes?
Yes just this alone added so much drone
Nice *muffler delete* bro not straight pipe if it was a straight pipe it would be hella a lot louder
Instant grunt!
Wish I had this video 1 year earlier
BTW it's weird mine was more "quiet" stock & is now "louder" CATLESS
Or maybe it's just the video that doesnt show the real sound
It's IMO almost impossible to drive daily now
romanista lazialle 100% it’s the video. Notice how on the ‘after’ you can’t hear the road noise or wind or anything like you can on the ‘before’. Muffler delete on a V8 was never going to be subtle 😂
Am I the only one who prefers stock
Alex, for how much are the M5s going in USA, I'm thinking of importing M5, or other sport car.
Supposedly they are pretty cheap here compared to most countries. They’re between $16,000 and $24,000 depending on year and mileage. I bought my 2008 in 2016 for $19,700 with 89,000 miles.
How many times did you have to fill up during all these takes?
I wonder how much the maintenance is 😮I want one 😂😭
Quite a lot
What size tips? 4"? I'm doing this rear bumper on my 335i and cannot decide between 3.5" and 4"
Why didn’t you do the oem muffler mod?
#V10forthewin
any drones ?
Yes it’s pretty bad unfortunately
What year is this?
Can someone Explain where I can the Evolve Test pipes and cat delete
Missing the m5 content bro 😥
Me too man, it’ll be back.
What exhaust tips did you go to I wanna do muffler delete but not sure what size tips to go with especially since im gonna get aftermarket diffuser
These are 3.5" tips. Diffusers on these cars look great, you'll love it!
@@AlexGray Answered my question here! I'm thinking 4" might be too big.
I have 2009 528i what should I do to get mines sounding similar to yours?
You can have a shop remove the muffler and weld a straight pipe like I did or just buy a cheap muffler online and have a shop weld it in. But it will sound very different because we have different engines, V8 vs I6
Now all u need is a pop bang tune.
Nice video of all perspectives. Do Primary cats next bro, really brings more character of the V8 sound out and will give you backfire/pops. However if you want power but also want to do the most for less money just get an aftermarket "X-pipe"
. I just did the Primary cats for now and it was really worth it
You live in Florida??????
I used to a long time ago and I miss it, I’m in GA now but bought this in Homosassa FL
All you did was deleted the muffler nothing else?
Correct
Why does it look so slow
Because it's not
Not a straight pipe. This is a muffler delete.
That's not stright piped
You tubers really need to get their shit right before a bunch of kids get misinformed.
That is not a straight pipe.
Catless downpipe+muffler delete+resonator delete is a straight pipe.
Smh
Have arh headers if you want real sound
Soon. . Resonator delete!!😍
Res delete will add unnecessary drone to an already loud and deep setup
Рамка «Тойота»))))
That's not straight pipe
l'm not heard that in real, but 1 think is bad for me, in my opinion after you cut muffler... M3 lost character She received sound like american muscule car. lt is only my opinion.
Andrzej Drozd English plz
@@dogchainsaw3923 sorry. ENGLISH isn't my first language. l'm bad writer hah
Oh look a loud 13 second m3...... lol
Lol what do you drive
12 sec actually
The ulitimate petrolhead video
Original sound is better
Sounds the same tbh
Except much louder and angrier 😄
