So yea, I'm putting an Eisenmann on mine after seeing this. The Meisterschaft sounds pretty good too, but the Akrapovic, for as absurdly expensive as it is, makes the car sound like a rice rocket. I had an Eisenmann race on my 328 and now I'd definitely putting one on my M3.

+Peter Pagano Akrapovic is the the best exhaust performance wise. It's the lighter of them all and increase the HP of the car by 22HP and torque by 35nm. Tbh my m3 (with akrapovic) doesn't sound like the one of the video, dunno why well i've deleted the pre-cats but I think that's standard for everyone.
+Peter Pagano Yeah I was disappointed with the sound of the Akra too. I'm certain it would sound different and much better if it were not in a car park. Sounds like they may have removed the resonator too.

i just pulled my factory exaust. cut it open top and bottom and strait piped the inside perforated pipe. DEADLY! 20 bucks for 2'' pipe and 4 hours welding.

Keep in mind that all those clips recorded with different cameras and mics. For my top Eisenmann and meisterschaft are there. BMW v8 are always sounds crazy if you even put rusty chum on it. I had e46 m3 for 6 years. That was really hard to set up right exhaust note. Finally I stop on eisenmann only rear muffler.
Disappointing the Akra has that raspy sound. The one they make for the Clio is really nice.

The meisterschaft in the beginning was just an axle back not the full exhaust. Valves opened sounded stock
Love the v8 m3 cars but damn a C63 V8 car sounds glorious compared to almost every one of these too raspy

They all sound good and have their ups and downs!
First two are more bassy and the redt dtarting from akrapovic is high pitched and monsterous
NOOBRIDERR It's just because the first 2 systems (Eisenmann and Meisterschaft GT) are only axle-back setups in the videos they were taken from and the latter 3 setups are full systems. I have a Meisterschaft GT2 with their secondary cat and centre resonator delete pipes and it's high pitched and monsterous too. Akrapovic is probably the quietest aftermarket back box there is for the E9x M3 and it's bassy too. It's the X-pipe section that's making the huge difference between the first 2 and last 3 setups.

A.D sounds incredible with valves open but super raspy closed
5:45 I literally wet myself. Would never install that on mine, it's way too loud, but it sounds incredible. Sounded like shit with the valves closed in the first part though.

It's amazing how certain fanbases are infatuated with a v8 engine. They are awesome, but It's all I've ever known... I grew up driving muscle cars, never owned a BMW, but I'm now in the market for an M4. I want the newer v6 turbo model. I guess M3/M4 fans see the E92 as kind of a unicorn model... which it is

The Kreisegg open valves sounds the best. Loud as fuck but sounds very good. With the valves closed it sounds shitty though.

Howcumzit the M3's S65 sounds more refined both stock and post-mod than the M5's S85-even though the latter has more cylinders and in theory should be smoother? That V8 song is crisp and sonorous.

So, i love the loves of this car... perfection even... first fell in love with this car on forza horizon 3...but i HATED the way it sounded. It got even worse in 4...so i saw this and thought "well maybe with sll these different exhausts i can finally find a sound i like" sadly...no. bmw seriously pisses me off...makes some of the most beautiful cars on earth... yet my ears cry in pain listening to them...

+ShortFatandStumpy FAT Weak baffles and doesn't work well with x-pipes, I'd stay away... that said it's great with stock x-pipe.

A "catback" exhaust system refers to the section of the exhaust from the back of the "cat", or catalytic converters, to the tips.
An "axleback" exhaust system refers to the section of the exhaust that is physically located behind the rear axles of the car, hence its name

very disappointing for a v8 but nice sound compared to their inline 6. But it just doesn't have that v8 magic.

@@subway5907 yep because I'm a v8 guy and this doesn't sound like a proper hotrod. it does rev up to 8.5k which is a win , but disappointing overall for what it is. At least it sounds better than the F series
