Love the city and what you've been doing. Wanted to comment about the prime truck kit - $159????? 237 parts???? i mean, come on dude. That should be $35 - for full authentic Lego parts. AT MOST $50. And the "minifigure and dolly not included* just is the icing on the cake. I can understand paying a premium - like $10 over the parts cost. Maybe $5 more for the stickers. I guess if you got anyone buying them good for you, but what a head scratcher.
The parts alone cost more than your suggested price… not a good business model to sell for a loss 🤔
@@AFOLTV how much are the parts? If the instructions are $11 and the stickers $9 - it is hard to think 237 parts would be so expensive. But 🤷🏻♂️. I love the truck tho, so glad you’re still selling the instructions by themselves.
Will you guys make commercial cargo planes? I can see you putting the LEGO city cargo company to use, maybe even the passenger company too!
Love that monorail! I still have mine from the 80s, and my son and I have incorporated it in our own LEGO city.
We're looking forward to getting it up and running!
@@AFOLTVDo you have to use the original LEGO motors or are they being made by any other company? I have sets 6990 and 6399 but haven’t tried the motors in a while.
Bought the originals on Bricklink…. Very expensive unfortunately

Love the monorail. 3 total sets from late 80' Early 90's. 2 were space sets, one was an airport/city set. The straight tracks are the most expensive parts. But the motors move so well. Love that you are adding one to your city.

Hello AFO, great video! I have a question. Do you use regular basplates for your buildings, and how do match tye height with the lego roads. I am trying to make my own city and I was wondering how to do the side walks and road leveling. Thx!
City looks great!
The three monorail train sets were released in 1987/1990/1994 respective with some add on track packs. There are cheaper 3D printed monorail track alternatives if you’re not concerned about being purist

I commend you on displaying Construction Machine sets to work in progress areas of your city, just like it would be in real life. The majority of LEGO City content have a lack of construction sets displayed to working in the city. Alex Nunes who I mostly respect, said he couldn't put the new LEGO City Excavator in his big city because it was too big of a machine or he didn't have space for it. That kind of annoyed me a little considering how large his city is. For content providers, it's their choice what they want to display in their LEGO City, but I just felt Nunes excuse was kind of lame. To me LEGO Construction Machines are an under rated part of LEGO City and have been lacking for many years. Hopefully with the newer cranes, excavator, backhoe, road roller(steam roller is an incorrect name for the small set), it will open the door for more construction sets(I might add the new excavator is on 60 day backorder!)
I feel like you need to focus on older, 1930s/40s/50s midrise towers for those empty areas. If you look at major U.S. cities, your eyes are drawn to those gleaming glass skyscrapers. But they're always nestled amongst far-more-numerous older/more ornate lower stuff.
Your building are really cool I brought some of sets I brought the Rockefeller Apartments Instructions but I can't open the parts list so I trying to see if you have the parts list
Hey afol i know these monorail tracks are expensive i know someone sells cheaper and good quality track if you want then look up 4d bricks they 3d print there track and have extension cars for longer consist

Bonjour, je vous suis depuis un moment, j’adore vos moc et j’hesitais a plusieurs reprise a prendre les instructions. Mon probleme c’etait de ne pas savoir le prix a payer ensuite sjr bricklink et je vois que vous faites de kits directement maintenant, 1u depart je pe dis trop cool mais ensuite je vois 95$ le camion amazone, le prix est juste affolant, ça fait 80 € pour une voiture, c’est vraiment une grosse arnaque

you should use BensBricks 9volt pickup wheels for the trams and trains in your city so you can just power them without needing batteries
hi great city update as always! and i ordered from your site the willis tower instructions the order number is 7362 and if i upload the parts to bricklink it give me an eroor for a part which it says doesnt exist and if i use studio it doesnt open idk why .

It doesn’t have to be big, maybe a recreation of LA coliseum? They are both a football field AND a racetrack!
@@AFOLTV Just another idea, but a street course would not take ip space and it would make the streets interesting. I am working on one for my city, since I don’t have the space.

That’s the plan - we’re looking into storage unit options to free up some space and hopefully build NYC
