Thanks a lot Chef. Tried this exact recipe with kovakkai instead of bindi and came out really well. Changed the thalippu at the end to include mustard and urid dal to use it along with rice.

Sir wherever you add white sugar can we replace that with brown sugar instead...does that give the same effect...Thank you

Do pyaaza means double onion. In this recipe, onion is added twice, in different cuts. And kasoori methi is dried vendaya keerai. Its added to many dishes to enhance the taste. Its not like kothamalli.
