    Great stuff! Really enjoyed having Artie on the show. I feel like he is still one of us "normal' enthusiasts. He is an exceptional member of the flashlight community, always willing to help anyone that needs it.

      I agree, I also want to point out that we played odd couple a little on purpose. I went high end and he went reasonable end.

    First of all I want to say thank you to Artie for teaching me so much and taking the time to teach me how to mod lights better than I did. Second is now you have me thinking about my top five lights this year and that's a real hard one. I would honestly have to sit down with all of them and go through them all again. Great video guys and I'm really liking the live videos with. Keep it up guys

    On the Acebeam Terminator discussion:
    The M2 has grown on me since we talked about it. It would still be better with both switches on the side, but I've figured out a way to make it comfortable and one-hand-able.
    I didn't know about the low lockout throw channel bug. Neat!

    Also since you like the acebeam terminator m2, you should definitely check out the terminator m2 that came out in December. I love both the m1 and m2, but the M2 being smaller and more pocketable definitely puts it on top

    4:25: If only Anduril had some kind of "Simple UI" you could put it in before handing it so someone else... ;)
    Great video again! Looking forward to the next one.

      Even in simple mode, it’s just a matter of time until you get the call: “the light is broken, it won’t turn on now” (lockout mode). Honestly there are still too many pitfalls even in simple mode for the uninitiated. (IMO)

      @@cheuleWhat are the pitfalls other than lockout? Somewhat new to flashlights and considering getting an anduril as I like the limits that can be set when giving it to family in this simple mode.

    Happy new year Cheule! My friend who I purchased and emitter swapped a Warrior 3S for, showed me a new trick that I hadn't know before about the light. You may be aware of it, but I was totally surprised! If you press the side switch while holding the light on turbo with the tailswitch, it switches to a "tactical tail" mode; where instead of Medium/Turbo on the tailswitch, it becomes Turbo/Strobe. Not particularly useful IMO, but neat!

    Only reason i don't like the Noctigon K1: No buck drivers...
    A buck driven SFT40/W2/W1 K1 would be so good
    Isn't the 719a only R9050?
    For the M2: I'd love a 18650 based M1 with LED+LEP and AUX. Also i'd like the UI to always start in LED mode when you do the long press for moonlight mode. Bad surprise if you want to turn on in moonlight mode and laser your face instead

    This was so great, really enjoyed it! And I have to agree with you, the Microclick is the best EDC for me as well, I have the 5000K 219C in the stonewashed titanium. I carry this and the Big Idea Design Dual Side Click pen in the stonewashed titanium, it is a great EDC combo.

    Hey! What are your thoughts on the Laulima hoku clicky vs micro arcadian click?…. Same question between the “slim” designed model from Laulima like the Malahini or the Ion vs a DC0??

    • @cheule
      @cheule  9 месяцев назад +1

      The Hoku Clicky and Micro Click are very similar, they come down to one big difference: do you want a tight beam or a floodier one that almost looks like a triple? The Hoku is the floody one, and the micro click is a tight beam.

  • @TorchHacker

    I think Acebeam M2 owners will end up naturally holding it in a cigar grip with their index finger over the top of the Acebeam logo, the pocket clip resting on their middle and ring fingers, and then use their thumb to either press the tail switch or push and pull the floodlight/spotlight toggle switch.

    Liteshop in Australia has a bunch of new Acebeam W30's. They don't ship internationally though. So you'd probably need a forwarder to the US. That said, W35 looks like a better all-rounder. And there are alternatives from Weltool like the W4Pro and W5.

    Podcasts are great! I love what you do but some big things are to watch out for are describing things so that listeners know what’s going on without watching the video. Secondly, equalizing the audio from both parties so one person isn’t quieter than the other by a large gap! Keep it up.

    Me: Whats the best light for someone on a tight budget, just to walk the dogs at night?
    Cheule: The solid gold, diamond encrusted Imalent Bling Beam 9000, its a bargain at $15,500,000

    • @cheule
      @cheule  9 месяцев назад +2

      Hey, that’s a good price for the Bling Beam 9000. Yeah none of my recommendations were really for someone on a tight budget, except the “best value,” and that wasn’t even necessarily “cheapest.”

    Hi, I need help - I need a flashlight in EDC format that has two LEDs, red and white regular light. I carry out military tasks, so on the first line in the dark I really need a red light so as not to be noticed by the enemy, and on the second line I can use white. It should be neither small nor large) I will be very grateful if you indicate possible names, thank you)

    How does the cwf microclick compare to a hoku?

    • @cheule
      @cheule  9 месяцев назад

      I like the beam shape of the micro click a lot more. The older twisty hoku had a pretty good beam, but the newer clicky hoku, the beam has changed.

      @cheule  9 месяцев назад +1

      @sztaylor89 I just spoke to Joshua Dawson, and I’m going to be looking at this latest version of the Hoku Clicky, I’ll let you know how it goes. He thinks my Hoku had a specific issue that affected the beam.
