Beautiful explained. Thank you so much. I am an older guy but still interested in learning music and especially this piece is really demanding and it's very beautiful. Greetings from Canada.

I really like your playing I have seen you play this on The Guitar Salon International Websight. I studied at New England Conservatory in Boston. I hsve been playing for over 50 years I have played this piece before but it is not on the level that you play it. I really can't understand why you are teaching this piece as if it is a beginner's piece which it is not why go through every detail of which fret etc. this piece should be played? If someone is approaching this piece they should be a fairly good sight reader and should know the positions of the instrument. Why not just use the score it would be much more beneficial to someone like me a more advanced player who is a good sight reader. This piece should not be taught to someone who can' t read music already.

Why shouldn’t this piece be taught to someone who can’t read music?

@@EliteGuitarist I was Looking for more of a tutorial on interpretation tips. This is an advanced piece and to someone like me who can read the score it just seems too tedious to go through every fretting position andfingerings. Someone who is willing to tackle this piece should already have a firm grasp of Classical Guitar technique and should already be well versed in sight reading that is just my opinion. I have taught guitar before if this was a rock 3 chord shuffle then yes I would teach it this way but not a complicated piece like The Waltz no. 3 by Barrios. I'm sorry but that' s my opinion.

@@TheAlanWilson it sounds like you are too advanced of a player to learn the piece in this manner. Please provide a compelling reason why we should not teach the piece in this manner. We are always looking to learn and refine our craft and methodology.

@@EliteGuitarist I think that teaching the rudiments of music and how to read music first is the right approach . Then maybe some etudes by Sor and arcassi a

I wasn' t quite funnished anyway this is how I learned over 50 years ago I still think more of a traditional approach. Fortunately though there is you rube and the internet and very fi e players have emerged. back when I was growing up p there Basically was Segovia? Bream, Williams and Parkening now there are hundreds of great players like yourself and also Tavi Jinariu. I at one time wanted to be a co cert guitarist like yourself. I don't play many co certs but I am a gigging Wedding Guitarist and private parties and I do quite well.
