One more thing I love about Arin’s downfall to Ras’s side is how easy his teachings are. Lloyd keeps promising Arin that he’ll get better, but he hasn’t. Then Ras comes along and helps him get stronger and perform a perfect Spinjitzu tornado. It makes his turn believable and so fascinating to watch.
Arin story is one I never thought I will be invested, but it’s one that I never been so invested in a while, and potentially am excited to see more than most character stories in the original show, and I couldn’t be more happier for the writers, and even the VA Devan Mack for providing a well thought out, and honestly fantastic character we have gotten in Ninjago in a while
What I love about both Arin and Sora’s stories is how they mirror eachother they are both in the complete opposite places by the end of season 2 Sora is Lloyd’s prized student and arin starts to fall behind on his training.
OMG YESSSS!!!! I agree with ALL OF THIS!!!! Arin is my second favorite DR character (my first is Sora) I relate a lot to Arin ngl. So I'm glad you made this video! His story is so good!
I pretty much agree with everything you said he is my second favorite character only behind sore I love arin so much I can’t to see more of him in season 3
My only issue with Season 2 is that it feels like Wu didnt have enough time to explain The Merge to Arin, because the plot demanded it. Other than that, his arc did feel very natural and I'm curious to see where they'll go next with this. Always look forward to hearing your analysis videos on this new series!
Really great video! Arin has slowly become my favorite out of the three new ninja, I'm really excited to see how his story continues in Season 3! Also, I love the Celeste music in the background
ngl the twist at the end had me spiraling but now I feel like Arin is one of my favorite characters due to his character diversity at the end of Dragons Rising S2.
I love that Arin’s story is being so broken down to the point that he becomes so desperate he takes the short cut of strength like Ras did the character arcs in dragon’s rising have been so good and I can’t wait to see how it concludes.
I don’t know if anyone noticed, but when Arin finally achieved perfect spinjitzu, if you look closely there were some parts of Shatterspin shooting out of his spinjitzu tornado
6:11 this is the coldest scene in ninjago history and to me this solidified Ras as a top 5 villain in ninjago history cause that ass whooping was generational
I Really Like Arin in Dragons Rising Season 1 But I Absolutely Loved Him in Dragons Rising Season 2 and I’m Super Excited to See What He’ll Be Up To with Lord Ras in Dragons Rising Season 3🥷🔥
Arin is my favorite character in the new series. Folks don't give him a fair chance. However, my only problem with him is his self-doubt, and all the impulsive or short-sighted actions that doubt led him to do. Arin was always one of the most optimistic of the team, but his lack of improvement and the loss of his parents let his doubt consume everything did. Arin's doubt is overwhelming him so much that he can't see the good in him. Add in Ras' manipulative half-truths, Sora undermining his self-confidence, and discovering that Wu somehow caused the merge; this led Arin to doubt the very friends rooting him on. This is beyond infuriating. Arin knows Ras can't be trusted, even warning Frak of that very thing. But he still listens, and buys in to every word Ras tells him. Even if Ras was truthful, it's obvious to anyone but Arin that he held back some crucial information. So what if Wu caused the Merge? How did he do it? What allowed him to do it? Did he intend to cause the Merge? These are the questions Arin never stopped to think about. Instead, he went off half-cocked, shut out everyone who cared about him, and sided with the biggest snake since Pythor. Arin blaming the ninja for his lack of progression is just wrong. The ninja have to keep dealing with RAS' messes. If so many world-ending events weren't happening, maybe he'd actually get a chance to improve.
From being a hero to a villain. It’s pretty interesting and pretty awesome. Season 3 should take things to the next level for Arin and maybe characters like Morro or Garmadon, would possibly return. Maybe Garmadon knew about Wu’s mistakes when the merge happened and would explain the situation to Lloyd and Morro would most likely ally with the ninja once he possibly escapes the departed realm… but yeah it’s really amazing. And maybe Arin might also bump into Harumi since she lost her parents and looked up to villains in order to get what she wants but later knowing the ugly truth. I feel like Arin would at some point know the ugly truth as well as Harumi.
I think one of the turning points where Arin becomes good again is realising that his parents wouldn't want him to do this. They wouldn't want want him to be the bad guy. Another thing I want to mention, he has a lot of parallels with Morro cuz they both had masters that had insane expectations and when they didn't meet their master's expectations they became evil. (Sorry if my grammer is bad, English is my second language)
I felt the same way with Arin at first. I really liked what they did with Sora and Wyldfire but then there was Arin. With season 2, Arin as a character has gotten a lot more interesting. I am excited and curious what is in store for him.
At the beginning,I didn't really like Arin,I mean he was okay but I thought he was that main protagonist who's really naive and too kind.In season 2 he really became more interesting.
yo guys, I think arin shattered his soul thats why he is no longer forgiving like he was and I can prove it by seeing the clip where he first attempts perfect spinjitzu, there is a small shatter spin effect
I don't agree with people that say Arin is like Morro. All Arin wants is his family back and yes he is joining ras who is evil and could make him evil but at the end of DR S2 PT2 he says "I'll make you good ras" something along those lines.
No, quite the opposite actually! I think showing that Lloyd still has a ways to go in becoming a completely responsible mentor is a great choice for his character. Just like Wu, he will make some mistakes in his early years of being a master, and that makes his role far more believable and realistic imo.
tragically “subversive masterpiece” makes me think of Schaffrillas productions, a horrid channel that you should never watch because he tragically uses loads of foul language. Thank you so much for being different and making videos I can trust without anxiety
I think that him failing at detective work makes him feel like he failed his PARENTS, which is why he goes even lower
Indeed.💯
Most people hate on Arin so I’m glad there someone finally cutting him some slack
The people that hate Arin are actually idiots
@@Brick_kproduction I definitely agree with that

And in fact, the addition of Frak teases him even more about his past life. If Season 3 has Frak join the ninja team, Arin is going to lose it.
ngl the twist at the end had me spiraling but now I feel like Arin is one of my favorite characters due to his character diversity at the end of Dragons Rising S2.
Arin is fantastic new character he second favorite character behind sora but I still love arin and what he went through in season 2 was amazing
They gave Arin some amazing character development
They really did give him amazing development I can’t wait to see more of him in season 3
Lloyd: We could've protected the future together.
Arin: I don't think so.

The parallels between him and Morrow are insane
Classic main fish out of water character.
If you seen amphibia, the owl house or maybe even the dragon prince you would know.

Dude raz is suck a good manipulator, like even *I* started to believe him
I love the detail of his full spinjitsu having streaks of the shatter spin colours
Arin is one of my fav ninja but at the end if s2 it leaves you at the edge of your seat because he joined ras
I loved arin arcs especially in s2 pt2

7:16 OMG ITS RESURRECTIONS FROM CELESTA. WHAT A GREAT CHOCIE OF SOUNDTRACK
DAMN NINJAGO REACHED A NEW PEAK !!
He’s on some Anakin Skywalker type of storytelling I love it
Hopefully Arin learnt truth of merge and find his parents. And join back to ninjas team

Arin: Fine…. I’ll do it myself….
I enjoy this video

Lloyd making promises of Arin becoming the strongest is the same with wus first student and how he propped up morro to be the green ninja
