Saw these sponsor tags every day at my grandma’s house during summers of 77-84. She was a CBS soap watcher so all the P&G soaps played across her color TV on those hot summer days. I know almost all of the P&G ad slogans from those days as a result.

Chris Utley I have the same memories in the 80s. My grandma always kept it on CBS.

I concur. Watching these commercials are so soothing. They're not annoying like the commercials made today. Thank God for the Mute button.

Thank you. There is something that is so comforting about watching this footage. My Mother only watched 'General Hospital', but I recall this series.

I just feel so warm and fuzzy watching these commercial bumpers. They're wonderful. Wish I had a bunch of them, I would binge-watch them all day.

It was so great to see that big red box of Dash.

That harp in the bumpers has always been so pretty. They still called it 'The' Guiding Light until 1977 when the Spauldings were introduced.

Geez I thought I’d never hear those bumpers again. Brings back great memories. Thank you!

NOW I see why they were called "SOAP operas"!

Because soaps were and are centered around advertising. Homemakers or housewives were the demographic audience during that time.
