We've gotten a lot of great feedback from our first RV Buying Tips video, and folks have asked for more information, so when we were at Caprock Canyons State Park (you can watch our Caprock Canyons video here: ruclips.net/video/z4ihYCst8_I/видео.html ) recently, we sat down and filmed a part II to share more things to think about when you are shopping for an RV. We hope these tips are helpful. If you have any more questions or would like to share your own tips, please leave a comment! If you'd like to watch the first video, you can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/fs3xe1u6Tzo/видео.html. As always, we appreciate you watching. We look forward to hearing your tips and advice! Thanks for sharing. :)
You’re welcome Joe! It’s a great way to test things out. We partner with Outdoorsy to list RV rentals on our website. You can search by any location to see what they have listed near you: rvtexasyall.com/texas-rv-rentals
This video answered many questions and opened myself up to possibly getting a diesel pusher when we upgrade in the coming year. Thanks for y’all’s time and effort in producing all of your videos
Great information! We've started out with our teardrop to step up from tent camping with AC and Heat. No storage fees, no payments, low insurance and quick and easy hook up and go. Larger RV in the near future but for now, loving our teardrop. We've watched movies in it while parked in the garage. lol.
You folks seem like a great couple. I enjoyed this video and will show it to my wife when she gets home from work.We are at research stage in our hunt for a coach....your video was helpful.
Really enjoyed your video today, but again I enjoy all your videos. I am a full timer in a motor coach and just have the one regret I had started sooner. I don't seem to have any issues of any major concern and enjoy life. Being disabled the Motor coach is the way for me. I tow my car and all seems set up most efficient for me. Wish you guys well. Thanks guys. Sam @Wondering Times.
Class B (roadtrek with 4 captains chairs) vs Class C Just 2 of us but will likely take the grandkids once in a while. My thought is kids can sleep anywhere 😄 Class B plus is it’s right there in the driveway ready to jump in.
I laughed about this because I wish I had a dime every time I've heard someone say, "We wish we had bought our last RV first." More often than not you have to buy more than one to figure out just what you want and need. I believe in having all units inspected before we buy, even new ones. You'd be surprised what has turned up on new ones.
Having full timed before and owned just about everything, we find the diesel pusher still the way to travel for us. Vintage units are still available and as you stated, quality coaches that had million mile engines in them. For anyone out there, I would only consider the Cummins now, as CAT and Detroit have gone another direction since the EPA stepped in and came up with this DEF crap!
I’m considering downsizing from a Thor 2017 Challenger 37tb (ordered new) to a Tiffin 2019 Wayfarer QW. Should I consider hiring an inspector for this new unit? Thanks for sharing all your great knowledge and ideas; I’m always looking forward for your next update.
Hi Latada! On a new unit, you'll have a factory warranty so we don't believe the independent inspection is necessary. Thanks for watching and enjoy your RV shopping. We love our Tiffin so far!
good talk. #1 rule...do your homework, i did 3 years. #2 rule...never take your checkbook with you when shopping for RVs. in 2 weeks it will be 3 years fulltiming.
Thanks for the great tips on things to think about when looking for an RV. If you have done your homework ahead of time you will be less likely of being talked into buying more RV at a dealership than you really want or need.
Great video. Have been seriously looking at the 2019 Newmar Bay Star 3401....which is a tad under 35ft. Thinking about a 21012 Jeep Liberty as a tow. There will be two (2) golden retrievers and me and planning for about 7-9 months out of the year on the road. Not a fan of RV parks from what I have seen here on RUclips I would prefer BLM and National forest etc space for boondocking. Is that a realistic plan based upon your experience and particularly getting into camp spots since you had a 35ft too? Have been a boater all my life and now want to try RVing and seeing this Country of ours:) Thanks.
Hi! Glad you enjoyed the video. It will depend on the areas that you are going to because every campground and camping area is unique. At just under 35' you will definitely have an advantage over all of the folks with larger RVs, but there may be some limitations. As an example, with some of the older state parks, we found that we needed to arrive no later than Thursday before a weekend to make sure there was a site that our 35' rig could fit into easily. With 2 goldens, that extra indoor space might be nice, particularly on a rainy day. :) One thing you'll definitely want to make sure of: be sure that the total weight of your Jeep Liberty (when it is full of fuel and packed for travel) does not exceed what your Bay Star can safely tow. Enjoy your RV shopping and keep us posted!
Thanks. The tow limit is 5000lbs and the Liberty 4300 (not sure if that includes full tank of gas) but I am hoping to get the 26,000 chassis which permits a 4000 tow but has extra CCC over the 24000 chassis which I will have to use:)

Movies in the garage! We love it, Susan! We’ve seen some awesome teardrops out there.

hi guys be safe on trip;s
Thank you James!
Glad to see you are wearing proper hats.
LOL! We love those hats!
Thanks guys! Another good video.
Thanks Gary!
RV Texas Y'all Tom, did you get my e-mail and video?
You are so right about sleeping we had a small Trailer we had to make the bed every night and day. Ugh. Not fun.
It’s amazing what a difference that can make, isn’t it?
Class B (roadtrek with 4 captains chairs) vs Class C
Just 2 of us but will likely take the grandkids once in a while. My thought is kids can sleep anywhere 😄
Class B plus is it’s right there in the driveway ready to jump in.
That convenience is really nice! Guess it really comes down to how much space do you need to be comfortable. It’s different for everybody.
Loved the video wish I had seen it many years ago we are on our third and had a ⛺️ before that
Thanks Mark! :) We were tent campers before we started RVing also.
Great info. I think checking out the quality of construction and ease of service are good things to check into before buying a particular make.
Excellent point, Jean. Thank you. :)

We agree, Roy... it's tough to really know what you need and want from an RV before you have one. We've learned a lot from every RV we've owned.
Roy I have to say. I have seen your comments on other videos and I want to say you are spot on. Smart man..

We love our diesel pusher too, Joe! And have had great service from Cummins.
