I'm about 4KG worth of industrial micro devices printed in this material. These devices are subjected to repeated impact forces. Protorigid and Onyx Impact are the only two materials that allow these devices to last few million cycles. Onyx is easier to print, especially when small orfices and internall "channels" are needed (0.5mm dia and smaller) but it is more sensitive to low resin temperatures when printing, thus heating it helps with accuracy for smaller geometries. As always, great and very informative video, Dennys.
Thanks for all the info, good work and great testing. Can't wait to test this out myself, however I have to wait with it, unless I want to pay another 60$ for shipping which is insane...
Thank you for your excellent review. I don’t know if I just missed it but were these models treated with UV light before subjecting them to the different tests? Will UV light treatment make them relatively more brittle?
@@wangdennys thanks a lot in advance, it is a pretty unique genre. Especially looking forward to seeing engineering resins reviews (those that require heating and curing at the same time).

The proto white is showing signs of deformation if flexed too much, as the buckle test and rods showed. Do you know of a resin that has less deformation under similar stress?
Hello! I've just discovered your channel and I want to say thank you for all the great informative videos. I'm considering buying a Sonic Mighty 8k but have doubts about which resin I should pick. My project is to make articulated action figures. The problem is with regular resins, resin dust always appear when two parts are rubbing against each other as you showed in the video. I think the Phrozen Protowhite Rigid - or the Phrozen Ceramic - could solve this issue but they only exist in white and I want a skin/beige colour. I'd like to avoid using pigments to colour the white resin as it will be difficult to have a constant colour from one printing to the next. Is it possible to mix the functional resins with 8k resins without losing the former? Do you have solutions, please? Regards.
Now that is hard. Yes mixing pigment to specialize resin like rigid or ceramic is bad. So unfortunately i have no idea what resin with rigid or ceramic properties with skin color. But keeping constant color is easy as long as you use accurate weighing when mixing the pigment.
You mentioned it needs to be washed "properly". I don't know if I missed it in the video, but what is the the "proper" way to wash your print with this resin?
Thanks for this review. I did buy the resin because of your testing as i need a stronger resin for what im doing. Would it be possible for you to share your settings in chitubox for this resin? Thanks!
What is proper way to wash this resin? My prints have come out with sticky spots. i know you said to use brush...can you explain all the process? like what kind of brush, how long to wash and what liquids. thanks A TON!!

best resin review i've ever seen.
thank you
excellent info, this is the reason i have subbed, proper info no bullshit and no product pushing -well done i see this channel growing well!
Thank you

I was surprised by the shape memory when you heated it. I wonder if one could make a shape memory engine with it. 😋 Very good review! Thanks! 😁

Of course - and set a record for the least efficient engine ever 😀
@@testboga5991 It would be more of a novelty being that I think no such engine is in exsistance. Closest I can think of is a nitinol engine.
Thanks for the review Dennys - keep up the good work.
Looks great, thanks for the detailed testing 👍

I'm just trying some of this for RC car wheels compared to my typical ABS like.
I'm very curious!
How did you finish the prints? Did you post-cure them after washing before doing the tests?
All been post cured in thr video

I just got onyx impact
Will test and share it

Use the help of brush
Can it be mixed with the standard resin so that the standard resin can have some properties of the rigid resin?
Mixing resin is possible.
this resin is sold out. is the anycubic flexible resin similar?

Just dip it in alcohol for several minute then brush it with any soft brush tip.
Then use alcohol in spray bottle to extra clean it
