  • This is my 1 year review on my Bobcat CT2025 compact tractor. I have about 25 hours on it now, and its been awesome. 25 hours may not seem like a lot, but that equals a lot of dirt and rocks moved, pastures cut and tilled, and a lot of property maintenance. Cant ask for more or better on small acerage, as it is plenty for maintaining my 2 acre property.

    I just bought one, the dealer showed me that if you keep the bucket off the ground and tap the forward or reverse pedal slightly it will shift smooth….so far so good, sifts smooth! Bucket off the ground is the key factor so tractor can slightly move so the gearing can align

    I just bought a 4050 the other day, I am amazed at the power, traction and lift capacity. The turning radius is amazing, its unbelievably nimble for a midsized tractor.

    I LOVE my 2025. It does so much work, not too big, not too small, digs like mad, pulls stumps and other nastiness. The seat is more comfortable than my office chair and I genuinely feel kind of bummed when I am finished using it I snagged the manual and within an hour I couldn't even tell it was a manual. I have a couple acres long driveway and it is perfect for me. The only thing I don't like is that I am so used to using the foot throttle that is positioned a little to the right, when I go to drive my pickup I keep pushing my foot down to the right of the gas pedal on the transmission tunnel. It's like "Hey, why am I not moving?" Got a great deal and while the dealer and service are really close I have never needed them. grease, oil, filter and move on. It is basically a backhoe to me, never removed the backhoe attachment.

      How do you remove the stumps? I’m looking at getting the 2025 for help with some tree removal. Does one need the backhoe attachment?

    I purchased a 2023 CT2025 a couple months ago for $16,980 plus tax and have used it for 41 hours so far. It is now my go-to tool. When mine arrived from the dealer, the fuel gauge was not working and this was a very important feature for me. The people at the dealership acted very nice, but were morons and went through a lot of employees including my salesman. Long story short, I got angry with them, started cussing and hung up on them. Bobcat apparently has issues with the fuel sender unit (float that sits in gas tank with potentiometer) because they were on backorder and there was no way to order them. I pulled mine out and actually figured out what was going on and repaired the part myself. The difficulty shifting into gear drives me nuts sometimes and it doesn't matter for me if the bucket is off the ground or I tap the forward/reverse, it still won't shift until I try those remedies several times. It is pretty powerful and you will definitely find things to do with it. I purchased a stump bucket and use it all the time. I have close to 20 acres of wooded land and the tractor come in handy all the time.

      Great comment! Thank you. That is the sort of information we all need. I am nearing 60 hours now, and love it with those accepted flaws. Will be interesting to see what 200+ hours looks like on these. Thanks again!

    You should get the Tooth Bar from BXpanded - $320 and an armrest from Bobcat - $110. You will be glad you did! It's the little things.................

    I have one too brand new I bought it with the hydrostatic trans, gear shift between ranges isn't super smooth and the switch between 4x4 and 4x2 I haven't really figured out the smooth way to do it all the time but I get to engage and disengage no problem

    • @GOATbro_Australia
      @GOATbro_Australia  2 года назад +1

      Yep, agree. Shifting between ranges is rough. It seems to be getting smoother with time, but it's not great. Same with 4x2 to 4x4, but I just leave in 4x4 and never take it out. Like anything, it's not perfect.

      The easiest way that I’ve found to shift the range selector, is to barely press the fwd/rev pedal. It’s almost like it allows it to sync a lot smoother.

      Its been great. I am at 60 hours now, and mechanically it has had no issues. Most annoying is how difficult it is to shift the Hydro between ranges. It takes a technique. Also, if you plan to do your own maintenance, you likely will not be able to remove the Hydraulic filters. Its like they are welded on from the factory. I had to have my dealer break them loose. Tires seem to be wearing pretty quickly, but outside of those things it just runs and works. I would buy another one for sure.

      Oh, one more thing. I was losing radiator coolant and constantly having to top up the reservoir bottle. Turns out that coolant was boiling over from the radiator cap. The stock cap on my tractor was a 0.8 bar cap. I replaced it with a 1.4 bar cap and that solved the problem. No more boil over and no more coolant lose. Not sure why they put that low of a pressure release cap on there, but its not enough. Might want to check that on your new tractor.

    What size rototiller do you use and does the CT2025 have enough power to run the tiller?

    • @GOATbro_Australia
      @GOATbro_Australia  2 года назад +1

      I run a 5ft (60 in) tiller, and no issues at all. And I run it deep and in heavy soil. I have seen a youtube video of a CT2025 running a 72 in rotary tiller, and looks ok to me. 60 in, no problem at all.

      Just an update. I had my CT2025 and 60in rotary tiller going for 3 straight hours last night. Lots of rain the day before and weeds a foot high. This tractor was never phazed. I was actually surprized as the soil was wet deep loam/clay. It went through it all like butter. My property looks amazing!

    How much for the set up, with tiller and without tiller

    • @GOATbro_Australia
      @GOATbro_Australia  Год назад

      Keep in mind that I purchased my setup over 12 months ago now, so pricing could have changed. I purchased the CT2025, a 60 in Rotary Cutter. 60 in Roto Tiller, and the front end loader. I also purchased the tool box, rear light and adjustable lower links, so that added cost to my deal. Overall if I remember correctly it all came out to around $26,000. I do not recall what the cost of the individual components cost, but you could find that out on the Bobcat web site. I think the tiller was around $3k. Also, Bobcat has incentives. I think when I bought mine, they were offering 0% finance, or the loader for no cost. So there are a lot of variables. In the end, I was also looking at the John Deere 3025E, and because of the specs between the two, and about a $3000 difference in the package, I went Bobcat. So far, glad I did. Not knocking the JD, but it was all about the deal.
