"Jazz Notes" is an hour long DVD that includes a 42 page printable PDF music and tab book. Mike discusses: his background, the learning process, chord tones, tension tones and lots of melodic ideas for major, minor and dominant chords. Additional solos include dozens of lines for the ii-V-I progression plus 13 choruses of a jazz blues jam. All is transcribed in music and tab in the PDF book. This is your chance to learn from a true master!
Mike, I love your game for 40 years. You are the best in the world!
Mike- This is exactly what some of us like to see.Starting with standard pentatonics and moving towards more complex but certainly interesting sounding lines.Very few players on RUclips show this connection.Much appreciated.

love that bend at 2:18..!! this piece is so fluid, it reminds me of early Metheny before he got carried away with himself, in particular the tone. This is so much fun to listen to and play!!!
To complicated for me! But cool. It's amazing how these guys make it look so easy.
Just plain great, I'm there with that flow, much appreciation.
Excellent ! I've attended a couple of Mike's Master classes , that was great :-)
The line at 244 is so good
holy shit i've got a lot to learn.
Beautiful
Next level guitar player
i really enjoyed this
Mike is the malcom young of jazz guitar.
what the heck does that mean?
@@pb12661really, Malcom was a great rhythm player… but, his’s not near the player that Mike is, neither is Angus with all respect to the AC/DC boys…
Love this!
Mike, wonderful sounds, thanks.
How do you create the wonderful jazz tone . chorus? delay? reverb? tell us. please...
Amazing!
Thanks for this! Excellent!
That is pretty fit stuff
amazing
..........Mike ......BURN.......!!Iloveit👍

i'd practice to a slower tempo
It is a fusion JAZZ...that is all
LOL
mickjagger s brother rsss
This is just a standard blues with ii-v-i's added to 'lead' into the changes e.g. the second time the i moves to the vi, they play v,i,iv which is a 251 that leads to the 4 or 514. Then the standard cycle of fourths turnaround at the end e.g. 3/6 -2/5. Once somebody gets familiar with the chord progression and knows how all these chords are spelt, then it's relatively easy to jam out some licks to this stuff. Convincing sounding phrasing is the hardest thing to learn - any averagely intelligent person can learn the theory...
can't he afford a better guitar? it's all worn out.
Mike is so boring to listen to compared to many other fusion guitar players
R u fucking kidding?
Ignorant
Felipe Bermudez hell no check out ‘fission’ and he is a one octave bore, with Shawn Lane putting Mike to absolute shame 😆
Sebastian G no, if you’re a boring player, then you’re a fuckin bore
Aek Sinsang Ignorance is bliss
