Psilocybin containing mushrooms save my life. The drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit

Yeah. More people should try psychedelics.
Not only in a medical environment because in some countries they are illegal. But with the right set and setting they can do wonders.

Psychedelic is the answer to most severe anxiety and depression. The use of magic mushrooms completely helps one get over depression and makes you feel like yourself.

Interesting thing I noticed on the graphs relating to the responses of baseline vs on psilocybin. In general, those with stronger responses at baseline had a much more drastic decline and those with low response at baseline had an increase after especially with angry face.

I mean one possibility is that when they saw the faces on mushrooms they started thinking about how old the picture is, they could’ve used more pictures as well. Seems like the margin of error is pretty high in that study. To many factors seem to have been ignored during this experiment.

Idk if this feedback is helpful, but I tried listening to this podcast on Spotify, and since I couldn't see the graphs, it was pretty difficult to follow the fear response stuff.

Not really how it works. Its good at treating disordered fear response, it won't make you stop being afraid of genuinely dangerous things. It might make you *less* afraid, but this is actually a good thing because it means you'll be more likely to think more rationally about how you should react. It could mean the difference between being unable to speak or talking your way out of a bad situation for instance.

    • @nieczerwony
      @nieczerwony 9 месяцев назад

Not really. Fear should be only induced by sympathetic nervous system.
This releases cortisol, adrenaline and other adrenal hormones.
Most of time humans should be spending with parasympathetic nervous system activation. This mean relaxation.
Today most people are in constant fight or flight mode i.e. sympathetic system being activated.
This due to diet, stimulants abuse (caffeine mainly) and life style.
One of biggest stressors to body is sedentary life style. In addition constant screen watching. Even in this video was mentioned that watching at the screen induced fear reaction.
In other words you don't want to live in constant anxiety state.
This is why magic mushrooms are so effective with anxiety and depression.
I know what I am talking about from my own experience.
3 years in work where I pushed myself to the limits in toxic work environment literally fried my brain.
I did blood test for neurotransmitters and also hormones.
My NT were nearly non existent.
My hormones similarly way out of balance.
Very low testosterone while cortisol through the roof.
On top of my memory and cognitive issues, I became completely different person.
      Negative, judging, grudging and antisocial.
Zero drive and motivation, but massive procrastination.
Before day was to short for me to do all the stuff I planned for.
After I was only waiting for day to end.
      Low energy and drive.
In my past I worked physical jobs from scaffolding, through carpentry/joinery, building sites to even oil rig and fishing boats.
Here situation is simple as you simply can feel physical tiredness and recover quite quickly.
With mental work (IT/electronic engineer) situation is dramatically different.
You just don't feel that tiredness plus you can take some stimulants.
So you take more and more, until one moment where your nervous system just snaps and that's it.
Problem is that your nervous system need a long time to recover. Healing your brain and nervous to shape is not quick proces.
Broken bones and wounds are healing way quicker.
I know that in todays world folks are obsessed with productivity and are pushing them self to the limit, and self proclaimed gurus talking shit like anxiety and fear are motivation etc.
No these are systems for survival in life treating situations.
If someone wants to abuse their body and live their one and only life in constant stress, that's their choice.

An angry face is not really a threat. More about a fist or a weapon in a hand. Realistic weighing risk of attack instead of fear shutting down thought. Best to say radioactive instead of nuclear, since the way people say nuclear varies.

  • @dr.froghopper6711
    @dr.froghopper6711 10 месяцев назад

I would think that decreasing response to angry faces could subject the person to violence and delayed response time. A person needs to recognize potential threats and being able to read emotional states through facial expressions is very important!

Well yes and no. Yes because you as a free and adult beings we should not be told what we can eat, inhale, inject or drink.
No because we have a society and your choices can change some people life forever.
Think driving under influence and killing some people.
Off course it is illegal and you will be punished, but that doesn't change the fact that you changed life of families of all the people you killed forever.
People in today's world actually think of freedom as "I wanna do whatever I want, whenever I want etc." at the same time they want to have public healthcare, public school and so on.
Well bad news my friend, freedom = responsibility.
You are free but that means you must be responsible for your own deeds but also your negligence.
These days society is childish, irresponsible and full of victim mentality.
People don't want freedom. They want comfort and at the same time they want to blame everyone else and want to have "free" stuff.
This is exactly how kids behave with their parents.
Don't get me wrong I am minarchist, libertarian and fully for freedom, but unfortunately with today society it is impossible. Mentality of society is crippled.
If you don't want to pay taxes (or pay minimum ones) that means you need to take care about your own savings for pension and don't count for gov etc.
Situation will be getting worse and worse as that is what government wants. They don't want responsible, free and indepandent, free thinking people.
