- Correction to one thing I said in the video near the end regarding the Marlin. It was actually a SubTech product, not 32Parallel as I indicated. That will teach me to record footage on 3 hrs of sleep! My apologies to Skip Asay for the incorrect info.

It's really nice to see that the submarine that I sent to David Ruiz in the USA a year and a half ago has now arrived with you. Unfortunately, the transfer was not without damage, but the submarine was shipped to the USA as I had packed it, directly from the shipping box, without addressing the damage that DHL probably caused. But luckily it went to the professionals who knew how to help. I'm really excited to see the Type xxi built by Schaffer a long time ago and see it in action! In your pool, of course 😂 I bought it as a static model for €50 from the classifieds. The owner had no idea, but when I saw it for the first time, 🦊😉 best wishes from Germany! Greetz Flow ☺️ Sorry for the bad translation🫣
A little late but welcome to NY and Bronx traffic. I love that you two share this passion together. Thanks for sharing.
Cant wait to see the Seaview all done and all lighted up.
Glad you both made it home safe . What a haul of models you picked up .
I love road trips. You guys picked yourselves up one huge treasure trove! That Seaview, WOW!
What an awesome trip!! I am envious of you two. Wish my father was more passionate about our hobby as I was then and still am now. All aside you guys have some great looking boats, outstanding job returning home safely :)
The XXI sub is a 1/40 scale from Schaffer in Germany, very hard to find these days.
Wow I am really impressed that you got that Seaview to fit in a car!
Beautiful Seaview, & it's huge. I like big boats & I can't help that. Thanks for video
Fantastic, Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing this great road trip adventure! And even happier everything went well You guys have some great boats,I am looking forward to see Logan working on both of the Proteus kits, should be really interesting.by the way,the Seaview is exactly the size of one of the filming miniatures at8.5feet
In the 1961 feature movie sizes were 4.25ft,8.5 ft. and 17 ft.when the tv series started it's 4 season run in 1964 they built a crude 2ft Seaview for simulation of distance. That car museum will really be interesting with the Seaview being present.
Fabulous video. Fun road trip including visits with some great people along the way. Love that SeaView and of course those type VII's. That Marlin has nothing to do with 32nd parallel. That is a Skip Assay Subtech model although it is 1/32 scale.
My bad! You're absolutely right. That's what I get for recording a video on 3 hrs of sleep! Thanks.
One of my sisters lives near NY and my brother is in Pennsylvania. I prefer to avoid all large cities these days. Good luck with the subs.
Epic roadtrip indeed! Great haul too. If I did a similar trip in Europe from Amsterdam, I could end up in Africa or Turkey, passing through 9 countries. xD
For reference, most people in Amsterdam consider our northern province of Friesland so far away (just 140km), it might as well be on the north pole.
Once had a friend over from the US who said he'd might pop in on old classmate that lived in Denmark, now that he was so close. We all just looked at him like he was crazy. That's two countries over, we call that holiday plans not a sunday visit. 😂
LOL. I understand. Here in Texas, I have to drive five hours just to get out of the state!
Insta fleet, great road trip.
Big Seaview. You probably need a trailer for that boat.
Awesome!
If you need a place to layover in Virginia let me know. I’m on a lake and have a dock that would accommodate that Seaview model. 😉
What I’d do to own a 1/48 Seaview. My whole life I wanted a Seaview that big.
movie models are going the make a new movies.do you put these in the water?
Yes, absolutely, though this particular one is destined for a museum in TN.
Good afternoon
