    I paid 30k for this car as pre registered 1 yr old with 25miles on the clock . I would have bought the Tesla if i had to pay full price, at 30k its a really good deal

    For 3 grand MORE- you can drive about in a dual motor outdated jelly mould...yup.
    We all know about Tesla, I tried one, but went for the ID.5. It was the most comfortable car I had tried.
    But the whole Tesla range is outdated.

    If your battery is full the regen bar will show you how much regen it gives you. Less regen than when its has less than 80% battery left.

    • @thercsev
      @thercsev  Год назад

      I don’t recall if it was below 80% but it wasn’t near full. The regen just felt very weak compared to other EVs

      @@thercsev It doesn't stop like Tesla does - it will crawl. It's nice car, but software is just a nightmare. I heard that early adopters [1st edition] had a ton of issues.

      I was informed by the dealership the regen adjusts to the situation. If you are above the speed limit, it will regen more, if you are below it will do less and feel weaker. You can although change for it to just do full regen I believe, just like a Tesla

    Great comparison. I'm an ID.4 driver and a mate of mine has the M3. To be honest, the quality differences trumped it for me - I just don't get the same quality materials in the M3 and ride quality.. Was in a 2 year old M3 taxi about 2 weeks ago, and the materials weren't holding up well. Also are your interior lights on the M3 incandescent? If so, that's a bit shocking!

      Please refer to it as a Model 3, as am M3 is something totally different to 99% of the world

      It really is making my decision when I come to replace this hard...Tesla have A LOT of work ahead of them to keep market share now rivals are making good EV's. Tesla build quality is really starting to show

    I bought a 77kwh pro max .Ex demonstrator with 3000 miles on the clock.This car is fully loaded complete with HUD .It's an absolutely awesome car,it's a big cruiser with 300 to 340 mile range with amazing road presence. Highly recommended .

    I think its nice looking (and its trivial but theyve done a good job on the door handles :-) ) but Id get a Niro for what £15k or so cheaper? Or a MY for the SC network.

    I had one for about 2 weeks. First time I had driven another EV other than a Tesla for 6 years. My wife had a drive in it as well as she has also only driven Tesla for 6 years. The tech and acceleration of the Tesla is much much better. But for local school runs the VW was a better car. Smoother, better suspension , loved having apple CarPlay and it just felt nice to drive a car that wasn’t a Tesla. What I didn’t get was why it only had two front speakers??? I would get one but without the Tesla charging network it’s just too much of a gamble for long journeys.

    • @thercsev
      @thercsev  Год назад +2

      They are both great cars, however, how many long journeys do you do that require fast charging and there aren’t third party fast chargers on the route?
      I get that superchargers are great and easy to use but in my personal experience I thought it was the be all and end all, now, I’m thinking I could get along fine on any other charging network.
      If I did the long journeys more often then Tesla is a no brainer

    To get full regeneration you have to shift from "D" to "B" by flicking the drive selector once more in the forward direction. Not real 1-pedal driving but MUCH more region braking. Also, if the battery is full regain won't actually work (nowhere to put that generated electricity), but its that way for all EVs.

    • @thercsev
      @thercsev  Год назад

    Wow! Where to start? First of all, go back to how you were taught to drive, both hands on the wheel at 10 to 2, stop teaching viewers the wrong way to drive. Secondly, the scratchy plastic as you call it in the A pillar is because of the safety airbag behind. Remember your BMW i4 didn’t meet euro NCAP 5 stars. I stopped watching then…
