Ok. First of all, thanks for taking the time. #2 Always take the negative (black cable) off First, then the positive (red cable). Reverse when putting in back on. #3 After reading some of the comment's I believe you were just trying to tell people who may have a check engine light on how to get it off just to be able to get the car to pass the inspection. We all know that if something is wrong, the light will come back on, but you have a year to figure it out before the next inspection is due. But if the light starts blinking, get it fixed or at least checked out ASAP.

I actually passed inspection like this, so this guy has no idea what he’s talking about. However in time I’ve learned a lot of cars especially more modern ones have systems in place to prevent people from doing this so do your own research

However, your video is misleading, some poor guy is going to watch this video do what you did and think that they are going to pass inspection and waste their money on an inspection fee when they could have put that money into repairing whatever is wrong with their engine.

Depending on the issue and the car it does work. At the time I thought it would always work since then I’ve learned otherwise. In this video I had a 2006 Honda accord coupe EX 2.4L
@The Chucky Boi You have to drive it for roughly 60 miles without the check engine light coming back on for it to be ready to pass. I'm just saying that alone won't let it pass
@@blaakcoffee I’m not 100% sure it varies by make and model. But you can always reset it and then start driving to see how long it takes. And then reset it accordingly

Yes the issue will reset the light again and depending on make and model it might not work at all Edit: for some smaller issues on certain vehicle there will be a delay and if you can get inspection done in that time you’re green
