      The consul's decision-making process is shrouded in uncertainty, with no clear guidelines or criteria for evaluation. While some individuals invest considerable effort in presenting a comprehensive picture, the consul may dismiss their efforts as superfluous. In contrast, others may adopt a more concise approach, only to find that it fails to satisfy the consul's expectations. The path forward is unclear, and it is difficult to determine the most effective strategy, whether it is to provide a brief answer or to elaborate at length.

    Their so called "sixth sense" has cost so many people their entire careers and has also made careers of many underserving people. Do they just forget or ignore that a visa interview is not supposed to be like a job interview? Every person is different. Some are more confident while others aren't. Some can have mental issues like ADHD, OCD, etc. Why do they ignore this simple fact? If they have to interview hundreds in a day then why not just add more officers instead of denying people who spent a big chunk of their hard earned money and time on the visa process and planned their careers around it or whatever. There is no excuse. It's just pathetic.

    They denied my girlfriend to visit the US even though she has her own business, family that lives in the Philippines and she has land that she owns. Yet they told her that she has no strong ties? It's absolutely ridiculous. The whole thing is BS! It's not an interview at all. You're just a number. They only give vague reasons for why you're denied. Doesn't matter what documents you bring because they don't even look at them. Then they charge you now, a hundred eighty dollars per interview even though it's very likely most people that go to the interview don't even come close to the qualifications to travel. It's all about money. Yet people can come across the border illegally all the time, it's not about security or safety, it's just about stupid government that is ineffective and not efficient. It's not right when people go about to enter my country the us legally and are denied yet people can freely come across the border unchecked. It's all broken. $180 is a lot of money to a Filipino.

    We're not sure exactly what the visa officers are looking for, but from our experience, it seems like the decision is often predetermined, and the interview serves more as a confirmation of whether the applicant's details and persona match or not. Saying this because some people get their visa in minutes while some gets rejected.
    Here in Nepal, we do not need to present any documents during the interview for the B1/B2 visa category. They rely solely on the details from the DS-160 form and the interview itself. Our own interview lasted less than 2 minutes, and the visa was granted, whereas other applicants were asked numerous questions and still had their visas denied. We don't mean to offend anyone, but it appears there is a filtering process starting from the application form itself. During the interview, you mainly need to correspond with what you've written on the DS-160 form. We have friends who were rejected (one had a petition filed in the US, leading to his tourist visa denial, as similarly happened with his brother at the US Embassy in Portugal, where they were informed of the reason), while others were granted visas based solely on the business volume of their parents. Therefore, our suggestion would be to focus more on how you fill out the DS-160 form and how your online presence is perceived. Are you or your business or your employer easily found on Google? Surely the Embassy receives thousands of applications every day so guess preparation right from the application form is the Key!! Anyway, we wish you all the best!

    Don't have time? The officer had enough time to make crass remarks just because I was traveling with a professor for an academic conference. She doubted me despite knowing that I am married to someone else (which shouldn't really matter), and a graduate student pursuing a PhD. They have enough time for their degenerate ideas and remarks. Utterly disgusted with the unprofessional officer. Having met many people in life, we also develop a 6th sense for such abominable people. It's just an unfair process.

  • @LDRDebari
    @LDRDebari 7 месяцев назад +2

    they may interview people day in day out but it’s not logical nor is it ethical to base their assumptions on a 6th sense. they don’t even see the mental stress for the applicants and the journey of the entire process just to be refused because of a 6th sense. being in an LDR is stressful enough on a marriage. we spent almost 2 years putting everything together and saving up money to file for my husband’s visa while also traveling to be with him, we submitted everything according to what would be sufficient evidence to prove our relationship only for someone who doesn’t know us or has spent time with us when we’re together decided that our relationship wasn’t real.

    Thank you for the video.
    I just want to say that the Visa application process is awful and very humiliating.
    1. You could do it online
    --> We live in a digital century and you do not have to waste your time, energy and money to attend the embassy. WHen you get there for only 2-3 Minutes go get a "No" - you feel like an idiot and you just hate the World at this point.
    2. You pay, but there is no guarantee you will get what you paid for
    --> paying 175$+ is not a joke and it really feels like you have been scammed after officer finds it weird about how you would like to visit US.
    3. Visa Online Application is extremely frustrating
    --> you literally have to speedrun the application online otherwise you will receive a message "Session timed out" and you have to do it all over again and again until you make it quick. I honestly think about all people and if I were someone who created these regulations: how can elderly people get this done by themselves? They can not. So that is something about caring about people of all ages.
    4. Provoking illegal immigration
    --> I wonder why? If people can not get to country they want to live in officially and enter the US legally - what choice do they have if their families and friends are all in US? Of course you will have this problem.
    Well, there you go. This is just another example of courruption being unbeatable just because of the profit.
    Remember that you have to pay first without having a guarantee you will get what you paid for and secondly you have to physically get there when you could do it online for those mere 2-3 minutes. Awful and humiliating. You really feel like an idiot and scammed at the end.

    It is very concerning to me as a US citizen to know about this horrible problem of not allowing good and honest people to travel to my country. It seems like something I would expect from a dictatorship. I married a man of Indian origin in 2014 and it is now almost ten years later and still we have not had any success to get my brother in law a visa just to travel to visit us. My husband has a big family who all owns property and businesses in India and has plenty of evidence of their ties to India. We are completely isolated from my husband’s family here unless we are to travel to India which costs thousands of dollars each time and puts all of the burden on us. We cannot even invite our family members to our home. So many birthdays, holidays, weddings and funerals have been missed. My family has not been able to build any bond with my husband’s family. We have not had children also due to the lack of family being able to visit. We don’t want to raise children without the possibility of being visited by aunts uncles and cousins. Our family is deeply injured by the current way things are done regarding tourist visas from India to USA.

    The consul holds the key, no rules, no guidebook. It all depends on their so called mood and perspective. Some people provide all the details, but the consul might think they're blabbering. Others keep their answer short, but that might not be enough; Some people share it all, but the consul may not be impressed. Others keep it brief, but that might not work either and most of the time you still get denied even though you have strong family, social and economical ties to your home country. Navigating this process is challenging, as there is no clear formula for success, and the best approach remains unclear..

    My fiancee was denied a visitor visa, she wanted to come visit and meet my family before we decided to proceed with the K1. She was denied due to "insufficient proof" she would return. Even though she just started a new job, signed a 1 year lease on an apartment and has all her family in her home country dependent on her, there some how was not enough proof. So we just pushed our plans ahead and went through with the K1 visa, currently it is in the system somewhere.

  • @a.m.4154
    @a.m.4154 7 месяцев назад

    This is utterly nonsensical. Let me deconstruct the some of the issues with what you have said.
    1. You claimed that in 3 minutes or less you have to convince the officer to understand exactly why you need the visa. Sorry but that makes no sense and is humanly unachievable. You can do your best, but achieving what you just said simply requires ample time. An elevator pitch won't do it. Save your arguments.
    2. You attempted to turn the table by saying "something in your application", while this might be the case, I believe the other reason you gave regarding the officers being put under pressure better explains it. Because we won't be having a conversation or a video being made on this topic if people weren't protesting about false negative denials after few seconds. My rebuttal to why this is rampant is their "sixth sense" is some of sort opinion formulation whilst being based on experience. Unfortunately, the candidate has NO control over this. So don't try to turn the tables.
    3. You finally revealed your nature by suggesting one book an appointment with you thus invalidating the core purpose of your previous claims. There is no amount of consultation that is going to change the mind of someone that will formulate an opinion out of a perfectly flawless application as long as there is immense pressure on the officer or simply something they do not like.
    In addition, there's also the case of an officer simply not being in a good mood and refusing applicants consecutively while being very evidently emotionally inclined.
    Overall, the aim should be to do your best and not linger or listen to people like this who would try to justify everything. They can't open the floodgates and allow everyone into the country so some sort of artificially fabricated barrier has to be constructed to prevent even some good apples from getting in. It's what it is and we are okay with that (do we have a choice?). But it is just so perniciously pathetic when these so called consular/immigration gurus try to say crap like you need to get someone to understand exactly why you need a visa under 2 mins even thought they might not even want to talk to you.

    • @maniau

      they basically want you to prove you have it better in your own country than in the US, so it won't cross your mind to LIVE in the US because they have better wages etc,
      the video is not very informative at all but what they want to see in the interview is that you qualify by having the money and ties to your own country so you will just spend money visiting and GTFO (I mean get home sick right after so you will go back to your own bed/country), and not get too comfortable by thinking hey, yeah, this is nice, this could be my new life, my new country.

    some ask more questions to applicants even they are stuttered.
    some ask two questions to applicants even they got more to say...
    it seems like they didn't wanna give you the chance.
    i think the next time when the interviewer was being silent.I'm gonna answer the one question longer.give it all the information i got.at least leave no regrets for myself.because some interviewer would not volunteered to ask you one more.
    so you need to giving the information yourself.
