This time we'll learn how to say "to be like" in Japanese.
We have a few different ways to say "to be like" - "みたい", "よう", "らしい" and "っぽい".

She is really good. A lot of books won't really teach you these minute differences. I've kind of internalized some of them but it's nice to have the differences directly explained so you can know for sure.

This lesson is a perfect example of why I watch you, Misa-sensei. I already knew these terms, but now I have a much more detailed understanding of their use, and learned something brand new as well (すぐ泣く)！
it's the same for me! I already got a N3 but her lessons are just as useful! And the way she talks helps you with the hearing and it shows she intently do it so!

as a matter of fact, this song is the one that motivated me to learn Japanese cos I noticed how simple the grammatical construction was

I've been reading all sorts of books in prep for JLPT N4, I've used "you na/you ni" outside of the classroom and nobody corrected me. But now I understand when to use "you na/you ni". Only Misa sensei can dissect the nuances of Japanese, incredibly useful skills for daily conversation. Thank you

I really needed to solidify my confidence in N4 and I've only watched a few of your videos so far and my speaking confidence has already approved so much! You answer so many questions not in the textbook, such as ぽい having a slightly negative connotation and らしい being more positive 😊.
I will be binge watching this whole playlist then on to N3!

Maybe could have added that mitai is not used at all when your subject already is what you are comparing it to, say pikachu being like a mouse - or at least that's how i know it :)

"I'm quite japanesie." is a sentense I've never imagined to hear.
Another fun use of らしい is saying "This isn't like you..." If someone is acting weird, like they are saying mean things when they are usually really nice, you can say, "(name)らしくない

Outside of expressions, there is 似ている, which is a verb that just means "to resemble". It's the continuous form of the verb 似る, but I suppose for these purposes you would want to use the continuous form.
