It’s really nice how Jason is a bit scared and apprehensive of these animals but he still cares about them and urges people to think before they purchase a snake or another reptile.
You know, Emily has visited so often.. why dont Jason and the team spend a day in the zoo. You know a field trip to see what reptile zoo keeping feels like. I am pretty sure Emily and Edd would be happy to have you over ❤️

Edit: when they bring up adoption island you can see that Emily wants to talk more (right after Jason mentions "don't get a snake if you can't keep it") maybe it's me but it seemed like she wanted to jump in a bit about how it's not only irresponsible owners but also like keepers that fall on harder times but has to hold back because the show has limited time.
I think it would be cool to have another episode with more about adoption island, maybe showing off some of the adoptable animals so maybe some Jason Show viewers consider adopting them.

They have sent Shayne to the zoo, but I agree, more in depth would be cool. They have Emily on roughly monthly, I wonder if adoption island could be a segment.
Most late night talk shows here in the US show adoptable puppies maybe three times a year. Why not do one for reptiles? Emily could bring the ones that need a home right away or the ones that seem to like strangers the most. I know SD does this on their channel already, but they might find more homes via this channel (just need to educate on what a good enclosure is and how to take care of the animals so they aren’t returned). I’m all for the education side, but would like to see the show expand to cover what is a good enclosure.
i dont think lavenders really show up on camera well they always look dull. i cant wait to see one in person so i can finally know what they look like

This might be the first time that the camera actually caught how pinkish purple the lavender hognose is, and that truly is amazing.
I wonder if Jason realized he could move that fast! The Flash could take some lessons from how fast he moved when Emily ate the roach. Long time fans know to expect such shenanigans. They only feed their reptiles human grade bugs. It’s also why they breed their own feeder rodents too. I hope Emily brought some choccy covered crickets for the craft services table!
I’m a regular Snake Discovery viewer and I wanted to add here how lovely the lavender snake looks on camera! Ed and Emily haven’t been able to get a good shot of how pretty they are on their channel, but the camera that this show uses really picked up the lavender color nicely!!!

Bless the Jason team for being repeatedly down to face fears. Kendall and Erin look like old pros and props to Jason for being Britney for a min. I also love that the more these go on the more slightly unhinged it gets
I love to see how Jason has slowly gotten more comfortable with the reptiles with every appearance! Perfect example of what SD's educational programs are all about. Also the sheer joy and horror of Emily eating that roach will sustain me through the rest of the week, thank u

I've followed snake Discovery for years, and this just shows why the ambassador animals and Emily and Ed are so good with their animals and the people they educate on reptiles etc! Emily is an absolute hoot! And Ed is the perfect partner!

I love that we get to see Emily on other shows like this! Most viewers of Snake Discovery are already at least mildly interested in snakes, but being able to reach this outside audience and talk about something like Adoption Island is so awesome. The crowd’s shock when she mentioned how many snakes and reptiles need rescuing really hit me

Idk about having someone relatively untrained work asst the facility, but I do think it could be v interesting to meet the employees and see who works at a reptile zoo, and what the day is like. And meet some more less transportable animals

For as humorous as parts of this segment was, as someone who keeps and loves snakes, I'm always excited to see people who are fearful getting a chance at interacting where they feel safe. I know not everyone will end up loving snakes even after these interactions, but to learn facts vs fiction and to not be quite so fearful is a big achievement. I don't keep anything large, but I work with my animals a lot so that they are very calm and used to handling so people can have such opportunities. I grinned and laughed when the burmese python came out and several ladies came running forward, wanting to be a part of it.

I think Rex has became less tame since she got the larger, naturalistic enclosure at the zoo. Ed and Emily are being a lot more cautious when they feed her. It's a little disappointing that Emily can no longer snuggle Rex on her lap or take her on walks, but it's great that she's living a life more appropriate to her species.
It is actually pretty cool to see how Jason has actually become a lot more comfortable around the snakes!

Currently have my grandsnake Sulley out for a walk in the yard on a warm winter day. He's a fat, lazy Ball Python. I came to appreciate reptiles late in life as pets. Snakes aren't scary, education is the key!

I love these videos so much, I love the scaredness of jason but also the willingness to try to concuer his fears and still do stuff even though it scares him. And also the little hop away when the roach fell lol. Also yes not the first roach Emily has eaten, they did it a couple years back (Emily and Ed) in theior old house where they put some kind of sauce on them adn baked them rare and medium or something to see which one they liked better. Pretty sure Eds parents were also there.
Oh! I can finally see how pretty the lavender is! It looks pink but normally on SD they look grey
