Finally! Thank you so much! I have been searching for someone to show the actual quilting on a collage quilt. I can figure out the rest but I hadn't seen anyone show up close how it was quilted. So very helpful! Thank you!

Wow! Your video was so informative. I’m glad I watched it before spending money unnecessarily. I did purchase a 14mm rotary cutter though. What a difference it made. I’d never thought of using the spray method. I’m now spray the background fabric and lay collage pieces down without overlapping, then spray the pieces that will overlap and place them. It’s a time saver. Thank you for passing on the methods you’ve learned. Here’s another old lady who has learned from a youngster.

This is the best video I've found on collage. My joy is longarming, definitely not piecing, but I've wanted to do the pink Cadillac as a companion to the old truck that I did many years ago. I dint remember longarming that as being a very happy experience. But now I have a better plan for the quikting, thanks to this video. Wish I had known about the spray before buying steam a seam because I think it would make quilting 37:25 so much easier. Great video.

I appreciate the fact that you show us different methods of tacking down the appliqué pieces and giving your opinion on the pros and cons of each. I have a friend who would love this collage. I already purchased the pattern but will use my own stash. Your video was very complete. Thank you so much for showing us how to do collage quilting. You have definitely inspired me.

This is great! I just recently have gotten into collage quilt and actually plan on making Nola. I was shocked at how much $ ends up going into one of these. I bought the kit from Laura Heine. Once you throw in the pattern and the Steam a Seam it's quite expensive. I will definitely try your method in the future!!

I used freezer paper and traced the pattern pieces, then pressed it to the fabric to cut it out. I used that method for Seawell, the cactus collage and now Nola. It works well for me and really saves the fusible web which i find very expensive.

Thanks for all this information. I think I'll probably use the Craft Bond. The Free Fuse seems to take far too long to adhere. Beautiful job though! Is the elephant paper pieced (as the original pattern called for) or is it fused? I absolutely LOVE that elephant! Your collage work is so pretty and you've given me the incentive to use up my scraps instead of making another pieced quilt! LOL I have a quilting pattern of a bicycle with flowers in a basket and now I know how I can handle this. I can finally start working on it after five years!!!! Again, thanks so much for sharing this. Please take care and virtual hugs from Canada.
