I love your flower. I just started doing collage quilting, a little different but also similar. I learned that for checks, dots, etc, fabric that you can not cut it so the design stays straight on the cross grain. You have to Oh No ( rip it lengthwise) because that is the way the print is printed on the fabric. I also always rip my borders so that they are straight regardless of the design on the fabric.
Now if I only could get my brain to start working and finish Texas Wildflower and the Hibiscus patterns. I may need to run away from home with these two projects a couple bottles of wine and fly your way 😉😉
My threadplay on the backs are always a horrid mess 😢 I’ve done my threadplay before adding my backer and do minimal stitching to nail all three layers together. I’ll give your sunflower a go and try my luck again. Thank you so much for your time and effort in your videos. Greatly appreciated.
I just found your video. Great explanation and method. You say the sunflower is easy and beginner. What other patterns would you rate beginner and easy? Thank you, edna
@@MelindaBula I just what I asked and I need to pay better attention. I found my answer whiile watching another video of yours. Staples/stapling the parchment paper is the answer. I am preparing for the Columbine video. Thanks.
