Great of you to share so many hints without constantly trying to sell stuff. I have been sewing 50+ years and never heard of the sewer's aid and of loosening the tension for free motionng. I had some rayon thread gifted to me, but have not used it because it seemed weak. Thanks for clarification. I agree with the hand cream..I used it when we were building a house...now I need more so I can sew with it! It has gone way up in price.
wonderful tutorial, calm voice, clear instruction, and so many details you share! I love your teaching style and your gracious willingness to share your craft. Thank you thank you! I will go pull out my pieces and try again.
Glad to have this video. I took one of your workshops years ago, and you have added the heating part to the thread painting. I love it! Now to pull my UFO from my project box and continue finishing my beautiful flower too. Thank you for refreshing my interest. I even bought a second pattern and fabric. Your work is exciting and I still remember some of your funny stories you shared during the workshop.
Very helpful, I love that you went slowly to really demonstrate the techniques. What were you using to “draw” on the design to show where you were going to stitch (with the white pencil)? That seems like it would be really beneficial to visualize and help “practice” before stitching.
I have a question about the hand cream. I know you say that it won't stain the quilt, but you have never seen any residue transfer onto the quilt at all? I would be so nervous to have anything on my hands.

She was doing tat white "marking" on her ipad so it was not actual marking with a pen or pencil. It was on her screen.
Love your video by the way. Am going a small flower quilt with 3 dimensional flowers. Will it look strange to have every thing else flat?
Thank you, very helpful
You're welcome!
Thank you!😊❤🌟
You are welcome
I see you are pinning your layers together to start with. Do you ever spray baste the layers?
excellent thank you so much 🌸🌺

Great tutorial! What size stitch are you using for stitch in the ditch? Or is it all regulated by how slow or how fast you move your fabric?
Its all free motion so the feed dogs are down and I'm not using the stitch button.
What kind of white pencil is that? Thank you

no i have not seen any discoloration or residue.
What foot do you have on? I have the same machine.
How do you iron to warm up fabric? I don’t want to melt my machine
It was done off the machine.
