I was never very good at the Sonic games - 2D or 3D. I do enjoy playing them initially, but get more and more frustrated because I don't know my way around the levels. So these types of videos help me see more of the games and enjoy the zones I've never been good enough to reach myself. 😋

I can understand the part about South Park. Honestly, I consider the more explicit transphobic stuff is from their more recent stuff. The trans women in sports episode is probably the biggest example, since they take the position of "trans women shouldn't participate in women's sports", and have a Macho Man Randy Savage as the trans women character in it. Even worse that they have PC Principal of all characters take that position.
There was also that bad false equivalency episode about transgender surgery years ago, where they have Kyle become a black person, and Kyle's dad become a dolphin. I guess they at least grown out of the false equivalency bigotry, but not enough to think it's in bad taste to depict them as ultra masculine in sports.
It's also very weird, since in The Fractured But Whole video game, they allow you to be a trans character, and they just make the bigots the insane ones for being so focused on the identity of a single child, they have to go to your school to fight you the minute you come clean about anything about yourself.
Before that, their only trans character was Mr. Garrison, which while not the most flattering depiction of a trans woman, I chalk that up to the fact that Mr. Garrison was always an awful person that has the wrong idea on everything.
It's just a shame too because in many ways South Park CAN be progressive as seen with even the early Big Gay Al episode. Is it perfect? Hell no. But for the 90s, having a character say it's ok to be gay is a big stance. Now it's downhill. I'd love to take a look at the games one day. But I also need to catch up with the show. Only saw 3 seasons and the movie
