First off YOU are an amazing guitarist...secondly I think YOU have the best grasp on how to get the BEST tones from a Boss ME-80. I own this unit mainly because i found your video series on it. Thanks, for taking so much time to help us guitarists out !!!
Hi Darryl! Thanks! I'm very happy that you liked it. The understanding how Boss multi-effects work is very similar to each other. I had the GT8 in his time, then the GT10 and it was pretty much the same thing. Between 2012 and 2013 I went to the GT100 and the same method continued. Obviously there were new features but without major changes in the way the effects were arranged. So when I started the channel, and brought the GT1, Me25 and Me80 I realized that they were also the same method as the GTs. That made things a little easier. :)
Agredd. As a ME=80 fanboy (I'm running No 2 after years of gig abuse ...) I'm so much hping for the ME-100 ... BOSS: When? When?? WHEN??? Seperate, longer looper - last gen amp and pedal sounds - 4 knobs per effect thus more versatilty - separate boost / overdrive / distortion pedl for stacking options - maybe a simple - Mooer 300 seperate basic synth for simple predefined organ/keys/synth/string sounds. Well. There are some possible next steps to take ...
The me-80 changed my guitar life!!! Great effects and I love the ability to customize your sound. You can run it through your pc and integrate it with Guitar Rig, etc. to really give you a unique sound!!! Only $299.99. Well worth it!!!

I don't understand what happens from 6'20'' to the end. I mean : what are you trying to show us with this musical background non affected by the settings? There are chorus, flanger, reverb, etc. That's it? Well then, may be I understand. There are many effects, OK. Anyway, sure I'll get the ME-80 very soon.
Hi... From 04:09 to 05:36 I share the settings used in the ME80, showing by the Boss Tone Studio program, you can copy and save. From 05:42 I show the same settings being programmed step by step directly in the ME80 for people who prefer to program in this way. Thanks!
The background music is just background music, offered by RUclips. So that the video does not remain in absolute silence as if we were in a vacuum of space. You bought well. The Me80 is a great multi-effects. Any questions I'm here every day talking to friends. Thanks!
@@DirectRecordingGuitar Thank you. Forgive me for this short sight opinion. After now having enough informations and sound samples on RUclips I will order next week, it's too nice and more easy to use than GT-1, I suppose, even if this last is no doubt good sounding too. It's just that three buttons with tons of assignments scares me. Guitar : Godin SD24 maple, ampli DV Mark Little Jazz but I just put it on sell, looking for a more polyvalent or "neutral" amp later. I'll work first with headphones and pc/mix monitoring with good small hp.
Once you get used to it it will be simple. It's like a pedal set. There are more complicated multi-effects like those of Vox, you press a button, the led changes color and all the functions of the knobs change. This does not happen with Me80 where there is a main knob in each sector that we can select the effect we want to use. The other knobs in the sector are used to adjust the effect parameters. If you want to activate the cabinet simulation, just insert a plug into the headphones output, as shown in the videos. Thanks!

@@h.b.aguitar8865 eu sei amigo que não tem mais eu vi um vídeo dele com o mesmo patch em uma g5n e ele fazia esse efeito de freeze e a g5n também não tem
So buy this along with my strat and I can sound like this???
Yes! I'm only using my Fender Japan + ME80 + PC. Neck position pickup. You will need to copy the Me80 settings exactly as I left it in the video. Thanks! BOSS ME-80 playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLrxXQYEp-_ujVyldjsvpJ4QtyxvkFoc0V
@@DirectRecordingGuitar That's just amazing. Ordered one yesterday. Have a Marshall DSL40cr and a Japan strat.
@@DirectRecordingGuitar are you in the loop of the amp or in front?
Gary Moore patches??
This is magic peddle.
Can you plug your headphones directly into that ?
Yes. Me80 works as a USB interface. I use it like that in all videos. ruclips.net/p/PLrxXQYEp-_ujVyldjsvpJ4QtyxvkFoc0V

Hi bro... I always use Windows 7 for recording. Sorry I can't help you. :(

Vc sabe da simulação de caixa e microfone? Que é só colocar um P2 na entrada de fone.
Pra gravar eu uso a pedaleira como interface USB, então o fone já está conectado nessa saída.
Can I get John Mayer's Slow Dancing tone with this?
Hello Logan... I believe not because the chord change is fast. But I will do some tests, suddenly it is theme for a new video. Thanks bro!
@@DirectRecordingGuitar Thank ya! I appreciate it greatly. I can't wait to check it out. Good luck
Wow!!!!
Genial
Well I'm fucken solid mate I need one
What website did you use to edit the settings like that?
Hi JR... No website. I create the presets manually, directly in the multi effect. I use the "Boss Tone Studio for ME80" program to demonstrate the settings used. You can download this program from the Boss website. Search Google for: "Boss Me80 updates and drives".
Great video. Please explain how to create the freeze effect on boss me-70. Thx.
Hi Mike... I never had the ME70 in my hands :/ thanks!
Thanks!
Thumbs up
Me 80 or gt 100?
The Gt100 is the most complete, only behind the Gt1000... but the Me80 is a great multi-effects too.
