- A wooden rollercoaster at Thorpe Park that would've sat where Saw: The Ride is, to even a strange UKs first coaster that would've been built on site of Colossus, today I'm going to discuss and take a look at Thorpe Park Rollercoasters and rides that were never built... From the likes of Stealth and Nemesis Inferno having their own counterparts replacing/reinventing them, and some weird manufacturers getting involved with brand new design!

I've actually ridden Turbo in Brighton and.. good god it's painful. I whacked my ear on the restraint 3 times and it left a mark there for a good few days.
Still not the worst coaster I've been on though, there's a Virginia Reel in Great Yarmouth and it's honestly the most painful thing I've ever ridden. It's in a small park called Joyland, I'd love to see you go there and experience it's horrors 😂

Dan, A few Mistakes From the video,
1. The B&M Invert Was an SLC
2. The B&M On Colossus' Site was a Standard Launch coaster (Like Hulk) And the Whole B&M 4D thing Was Going on the swarm, but was cut for budgetary reasons

Damn, shame that B&M 4D coaster didn't happen. X2 really is like nothing else I've ever ridden, and B&M would probabjy, unlike Arrow, get the engineering right.
I wonder B&M would consider it in the future. They've made quite a few wing coasters already, which should reduce the technical effort and risk somewhat.
A GCI woodie would have balanced the park out a lot more than a Euro Fighter, in my opinion. I hadn't seen the design before, but it looks pretty good, and 88ft is a good size for a true wooden coaster. I'd love to have ridden that one.
I didn't know much about alternatives to Colossus, but one of your other commenters mentioned a B&M launched coaster like Hulk, which does ring a bell. I've always thought something like this would have been better, although presumably it would have needed to be much bigger if they wanted ten inversions from B&M.
As for the alternative B&M inverted coaster, I did hear a bit about that at the time. Apparently it was going to be huge - approximately 160ft tall - which would set it apart much more from the Alton coaster, I think.
These all would've been insane to be fair! 🔥
