@@DigitalDan how to get a theme park to like ur comment flamingo land edition say you love hero I did this and I looked liked a idiot but hero is horrible
Great vid Dan as always and i'd actually agree with your statement about Wicker Man! I'd say my controversial opinions are i actually enjoyed the Ultimate a lot (though that was back in 2018) and i'd say velocity is a bit overrated as it's quite jolty and there's a bit of stapling in the final section! I prefer Mumbo Jumbo to it!
I think mine would be that The Swarm and Saw are the best rides at Thorpe Park- I didn’t used to have this view but my recent rides on both have been INCREDIBLE. No Saw slander here 🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️
my controversial opinion’s are thorpe > alton towers saw #1 at thorpe due to themeing, saw the ride is also not rough. first time on it this year and it was great
Nemesis Inferno is my favourite ride right now, and will probably stay. How much you like a ride can really depend on the people your riding with. I was really scared at first, then got the best adrenaline *rush* and rode it again. And again. x5. Yep, I spent half of my day on Inferno. Congrats on 15k as well.
My controversial opinion is that Colossus is smooth... I was expecting it to be unbearably rough on my first ever ride back in April, but it was butter smooth and I had no headbanging either (for comparison, Saw was awful apart from the indoor section and I also had no headbanging)! My favourite Coaster at Thorpe and my second overall after the original Nemmy. Cannot wait for Inversion (I refuse to call it by its official name)!
Accidents there be like: Thorpe: I HAVE NEVER CAUSED ANY ACCIDENTS IN MY ENTIRE LIFE Alton: Bro! You literally caused the death of an 11 year old girl on Rumba Rapids Thorpe: Ah! Now I know that on your well known 14 looping roller coaster,16 people are injured! Alton: At least nobody died here except for you and….DRAYTON!! Drayton: Well…THAT IS THE SAME WITH YOU BUT ANOTHER 11YR OLD GIRL FELL OUT AND GOT SMASHED WHEN TRYING TO ESCAPE!!
I personally prefer the range of rides at Thorpe park to Alton towers, but the ones at Alton towers look great too but I just like the ones at Thorpe park.
i think a controversial opinion of mine is that legoland is one of the best Uk parks. yes they’re not a park with extremely thrilling rides, but the park is well kept and haunted house monster party + flight of the sky lion are some of the best dark rides in the uk, flight of the sky lion being my favourite dark ride that I’ve done. its such a fun park, and it upsets me that it’s not talked about much.
My controversial opinion: vampire is one of the worst rides at Chessington, so much that I prefer the gruffalo ride 😂 idk it’s just I never get excited to go on it, it’s so rough I get a sore head, I would rather go on blue barnacle a few times considering I love pirate ships or queue an hour longer for dragons fury than go on this
6:15 completely agree with this honestly after riding black mamba i cant believe anyone compares it to the original nemesis its not even in the same ball park.
As an American who has gone to my home park of SFGAm and a bunch of parks in the south, my most controversial opinions are: Lightning Rod (at least pre-I-box and post-launch nerf) isn't an elite coaster, being an equal to Wild Eagle and beaten by rides such as Superman Ride of Steel at SFA and Apollo's Chariot. And it's because it's airtime isn't strong or sustained enough throughout most of the ride. Batman the Ride is better than Afterburn and Alpengeist Nighthawk is a good coaster and is an equal to Afterburn and Intimidator, all of which are competing for third best in the park. And Apollo's Chariot is an upper tier B&M hyper, only being slightly worse than Mako, and much better than Raging Bull and Intimidator.
I don’t like roller coasters but I want to start getting into them and I LOVE your videos. Also anyone has any good rides to help someone get over there fear.
I don't like air much and never have. Sik is 10 inversions and the smiler is 14 so I'm not quite sure what record it's beating. It does look fun though
I forced my dad to go on mine blower with me and he got his arm stuck in a bar and didn’t realise it went upside down and he a massive bruise but I’m velocicoaster he will never go on again bc he’s scared of the airtime so 😂
My controversial opinions: Colossus is the best coaster at Thorpe park. Grand national is the 2nd best wooden coaster in the UK. The swarm is the of the worst coasters in Thorpe park. Scorpion is better than kumba Also my sister says that detonator at Thorpe park is really boring
My most controversial opinion is that saw the ride is the worst in practically the whole of merlin theme parks. Maybe the world. That’s how much I hate it Edit: Bro oblivion is so underrated. One of the best in the UK. Top 5 for me
Stealth is overrated. Amazing ride but in my opinion gets wayyy too much love when The Swarm is in the same park. Still one of my favourites, I just don’t think it’s as good as everyone says
Honestly, Rita isn’t a bad ride, it’s fun but brief, I would love for them to extend this but it’s a great filler ride to keep the GP occupied when Towers focused on creating THI3TEEN and deconstructing the corkscrew. It has it’s purpose and I believe it’s genuinely fun and has one of the best launches in the UK. PS. It’s theme fits. (An abandoned rally race because the dark forest is taking over, and you’re trying to escape)
Alton towers Vs Thorpe park with me being a northerner I’ve been Alton towers every year since 1983! So me and Alton towers have this thing we both established in 1980 for a start but it is a hike to get around the park whereas Thorpe park all within small distance but both parks have now different types of rides like Alton towers only has rapids and battle gallons as wet Thorpe park has tidal wave and storm surge, rides like rush & vortex aren’t at Alton towers only similar is Rita and stealth being fast go start rides! Zodiac was like enterprise which has gone! There’s no rides like quantum anymore! Definitely no rides like detonator, depth charge, ghost train, walking dead or samurai at Alton towers so it’s good to have 2 different ride experiences! Dan have you ever been stuck on a ride for over 20mins and how bad where you stuck and at the point of the ride?
Velocicoaster is the best roller coaster in the world. I've been on it and compared to other coasters I've been on (I've been on a lot) nothing comes close to it.
My brother who works on derren said the last few days it’s been completely down… so I don’t really rate it that high 😂😂 also as much as vampire is a childhood ride for me, I feel it needs a bit of a refurbishment as it’s a real head banger now!
@@sumit_2702 yeah I was thinking that or maybe just get new trains for it and some parts of the track retracked as the part especially going down into the tunnel is so painful lol
Colossus better towards back, Hex is overrated , Rita>Stealth, exodus looks bad, colossus is better than saw, rumba rapids better than Icon, detonator better than stealth
Not gonna lie I think Rita is the best roller coaster IN THE WORLD. I mean that launch is wayyy faster than stealth. I mean ha imagine going 80mph and not 100kmh. I mean come on Rita > Stealth and Rita = faster than stealth. That figure eight layout is perfect so much airtime and it makes my heart pump so much. My adrenaline goes through the roof. At the end (which is my favourite part) so much airtimmeeee. Idk what people are going on about when saying it’s rough and the restraints squash your legs. Rita is the best. Try to prove me wrong, I mean I’ve literally listed all the fantastic things about it.
Rita is better than Gactica Hagrid's is overrated (th13teen is better) Wicker Man is 4th best out of the coasters In Alton Towers and Oblivion is second Wipeout (a vekoma boomerang) is better than Colossus Imperial Leather Bubbleworks shouldn't have closed
I think colossus is better for tall people, total ear basher for the likes of me. My controversial opinions (which you’re absolutely not allowed to hold as an enthusiast)…. I liked Duel, guns and all and… I prefer spinball to dragon’s fury… there, I said it.
Controversial opinion: The Haunting is the 2nd best dark ride in the Country, with Duel just below it, and Hex above it at 1st. (Duel would be 1st if it was still the Haunted House) Thorpe Park may be more thrilling as a whole, but Alton Towers is definitely better in terms if experiences.
Why did Th13teen’s advert be given a watershed edit for being “too scary” yet The Smiler’s was beyond terrifying not given a watershed edit?
That's true actually 😂
Cause th13teen is actually a horror ride, maybe smiler is a bit, but it's more in that genre duh!
I thought that about the wicker Man as well
Colossus>sik and galactica>wickerman

my mum prefers 13 over smiler, she said it was down to the flashing lights in queue and the cobra roll jerk
We do love a bit of 13 appreciation to be fair 😂
Raj's bouncy bottom burb is the most intense ride in alton towers
Octonauts is unironically more intense ☠️☠️
Controversial opinion = Nemesis over Icon....allll day long!
Spot on! Nemesis is way more aggressive and intense
thats not controversial thats just right even though I probs pick icon

Mine is that I wish Seaworld Orlando didn’t make so many coasters lately.

Saw is very rough on the front row but smooth on the back row

My most controversial opinion has to be that F.L.Y in any other row than the front doesn't make my top 20
As an American who has gone to my home park of SFGAm and a bunch of parks in the south, my most controversial opinions are:

My sister somehow thinks the smiler is rougher than collosus. Im still very confused about that
Saw is ok if you lean your head forward , front row on colossus is best but can’t beat stealth and swarm 🎢
oh my god I didn't think id be in the thumbnail
😂😂
I'm not a fan of colossus because my legs are too long for the seats
I think Saw - The Ride should be removed so Exodus’s layout can be extended onto Saw’s plot.
Or
Big One should be replaced with a B&M Hyper.
I would not complain at the big one being turned into a B&M though it obviously won’t happen
Controversial that first one! Second one I can get behind whole-heartedly 😂
I think Big One would be better as an Intamin hyper like Kondaa
Here's one that I really mean: I love Hero. One of the better rides in England.
Hagrid's magical creature motorbike adventure > velocicoaster.
I think the scenic railway at Great Yarmouth pleasure beach is better then wicker man
Saw’s smooth and colose is ruff and if it wasn’t it might be the best
I don’t like roller coasters but I want to start getting into them and I LOVE your videos. Also anyone has any good rides to help someone get over there fear.
Anything with inversions is a good way to get into it. Would recommend nemesis inferno as it's not too intense
@@nopeno-s5r lmao inferno is the most intense coaster in the park

I would absolutely agree. It is probably one of the worst coasters at thorpe park. The restraints are insanely painful

Galactica for me is >>>>> because it was the first ride that is scary i did and it just is so unique and when i went on it it was smooth

Hero is a good ride ……….😂

I don’t think vampire at chessington is that bad but in some places it is a bit head bangy and your back hurts a little afterwards
That's a fair point of view! 🔥
The smiller is better than Oblivion

Black Mamba at PhantasiaLand is better than Nemesis! The near misses are better and the G’s in the turns are more intense.
I don't like air much and never have. Sik is 10 inversions and the smiler is 14 so I'm not quite sure what record it's beating. It does look fun though
I think that rattle snake is better than vampire as vampire is unbearably rough.
Colossus needs better restraints.
Samurai and detonator are the 2 best flat rides in the UK imo
