Man that was helpful! I had been watching Upwork vs Fiverr videos for almost an hour now and the things discusses in this video are true and very important when deciding between the two.
Thanks Chad! I do Excel/Access tutoring, but need more work. Thus looking to do some projects in Fiverr or Upwork. I find both intimidating. Upwork for the number of bids on various jobs....
For me, Fiverr is good if you build software to do the work for you. Then it's just a matter of pressing a button to get the result, almost like a chap SAAS. I've seen this at work, so I know people do this.
Super helpful!!! straight to the point & and what I searched for! Carry on please! one question, as a regular freelancer shall I build and push 2 profiles: upwork + fivers with different twists to cover more potential leads?
Thanks man! I just saw your channel and you have great videos on Upwork, glad to see others teaching people how to make income freelancing. It's the future of work! Do you happen to be a dad? If so, I'd love to have you on my podcast "Freelance Family Man." Let me know thanks!
Neither! Fiverr is just what the name implies, and you'll always get underbid on Upwork from some third worlder whom can feed a family on $5 a week! Forget it!
Having the lowest price isn't what makes you most competitive. I've won over 150 clients on Upwork, all of which had other freelancers with lower, sometimes much lower rates than me submit proposals as well. Upwork has changed a lot over the years and many companies will go there to find expert freelancers in their field, not just cheap work. Actually bidding too low can often hurt your chances in getting a job, it makes the client think that your skills are also low.
Tomorrow at 5:30am Mountain time US I'll be doing a livestream on my channel here where I'll share tips on how to help you get a job on Upwork, come prepared with questions!

You could try both, it's just hard to keep up with 2 platforms at once, but I know people do that successfully.
Awesome video Chad! Love this explanation.
