Also, Doctor Confidentiality means in legal terms that when you ask a doctor about something like harming your self or something embarrassing that something you told your doctor cant be used in court and its illegal to tell it to anyone what you said in there
you are right
I am not currently a lawyer, and I am not your lawyer, my comment is not legal advice nor intended to. I am pretty sure that there are some laws that obligate a doctor or other people you might be having confidential conversations to let someone know in cases where a patient discloses that they are, have, or are planning to harm themselves or others, or if someone is harming them.
@@angieewing848 There are somethings you dont want you parent to know with the chance of them either overreacting or something else. But when it comes to self harm I agree the parents should know and they clearly said that in the video.
My fear of doctors is so bad I started crying while watching this, oh god
That is unhealthy, doctors in general are super good people, they offer theyr life to help others with instances like this.
@@anotherwea6692 I know but I cant really help it. A part of it is an irrational fear and the rest scary experiences and trauma
Me too
Well me too. I pretty much hvae a phobia of going there just for a checkup once or twice a year. If you would have asked me when i was 12, i wouldve said id go once every decade. And then my mom used a trick on me to get me to visit my first gynecologist. She said were going to visit grandma so i was exited but when her car stopped at the docs door,i swear i almost died. I went pale, started sweating uncontrollably and i was crying like the world was gonna end. For me,going to a gynocologist was worse than death. So i just paniced. She dragged me inside, and tried to comfort me when we sat down in the waiting room. I stopped crying, but my face was so scared people probably thought id seen a ghost. I stared at the clock on the wall, watching time go bye until my last minute before i was called into the doctors room. "This is it"i thought. I said my prayers, whispered my last words, and we went inside. We sat down, and the moment my butt hit the seat,my panic was back. Ive never been so shocked by a person i dont know knowing my name, age, where i live, my birth place, when i was last vaccinated, and how tall i am. She sent my mom outside, which freaked me out even more because if i dont have my teddy bear or my mom, my mental support isnt there. So the doc sat down infront of me,turned around and asked me how i am. "G-good" no, i mean, any problems? "N-o , im doing fine." Lets have a look then. Could you please lift up your skirt and remove your panties? I froze . Then everything went black and i wake up in the hospital. W-wheres the doc? "Right here. "Says one of the docs in the hospital. "A sec ago i was still in the other office....wheres my mom? " shes outside. Ill call her in. I passed out. I passed out from shock and all the fear i had from this innocent human being trying to help me with my health.
And thats why , kids, you should be confindent while going there. They wont do anything bad. Theyre just trying to help. Its okay to be scared, just- dont pass out, okay? ;)
Same :(,a few days ago my mom made me do a video call with a doctor and the whole time i was on the floor crying and hiding my face because she was telling the doctor about me getting puberty
I’m afraid of talking to doctors even doe both of my parents are doctors TvT

My parents are nurses and I’m scared
I can't talk to anyone I don't know that
Well your screwed
My mom is a nurse and my dad is a vet my house has vaccines, needles any thing😭😭😢😢😢
That animation is so sweet... Although, I wonder how AMAZE gets funding to animate and write this videos.
I think it might be a government funded company, but they do have a patreon on there website I think.
I’m about to go to the doctor to talk to them about my vaginal health (Infections, Cervical cancer, and even problems with my anus) my whole lower body minus my legs are in pain
:( I’m kinda embarrassed to tell my doctors but this helped me I’m 16
Go ahead! Supporting you🤗🤗
Rocío Medellín thanks
If it helps, remember doctors have done many years of training and seen lots of people's butts (and genitals, and bodies in general) so don't worry, they won't be surprised or grossed out or fazed by your medical issues; they've seen it all before! (well, most of it, unless you're patient zero for a new infection)
How did it turn out?
it is going to be ok i have doctors look down their all the time because I have something called lichen sclerosus and it is not weird anymore
I am a doctor. I always say if i feel you are at danger to yourself or someone else then i will have to pass this information on otherwise it will remain confidential
Can you do one explaining the asexual spectrum? I’m still trying to find my sexuality but I’m not quite sure where to start and when I’ll know
well you can find out by thinking about your life like have you ever liked a girl before or do you see if you get turned by girls or boys or both) let me know if you have any more questions or anything hun )

Nah, I'm in my 20's and my mom still interrupts the doctor when he asks me and starts speaking for me. Toxic mother, I hate her. She tells him how she thinks I'm feeling, not how I feel. And never lets me go on my own by blocking the door, threatening with not paying for my college and such.
Jesus christ, me mum's kicking me out at 17...
i kinda feel better about going to see my doctor but i wanan start birth control to try and stop my period( because im transgenfer FtM) and i dont want the m to ask my gma tho? she is against it!
what do i do?
This is my moms account ok
Mmm personally I decided to wait until Im 18 to be independent and do whatever I want with my body cuz mom is controlling my physical aspect a little and I realized that she doesnt understand me and dont want to, so Im very patient with that
oh shi- well try to talk to your doctor in private and ask them to keep it a secret but if your a minor (like me) then they might legaly have to ask her sorry dude wish you best luck
Hi, there! This sounds like a very tough situation, and to be honest, it doesn't come with any easy answers. You do still have the right to request confidentiality with your doctor; however, unfortunately, there are still certain things (like the choice to begin hormones) that do require parental consent. If you trust your doctor, perhaps you can ask them for advice on how to approach the conversation with your grandma. Sorry we don't have a better answer for you; in the meantime, please stay encouraged!
This made me feel a lot better about talking to a doctor
We're so happy we could help!
The girl with the curly pony tail reminds me of Peggy from Hamilton lol
Dang I almost cried halfway through because it just makes me glad to be able to ask someone such private questions
Oooooo
What can a person do if they have anorexia ?
can you do a video to help us treat ourselves and get better
and where to go?
I reallly like these videos, in my Christian school they never taught you any of these things because they were sinful, and in my public school the teachers are too embarrassed to explain it.
So this helps me to understand a lot of things. Good work, guys
Hope I can try this out one day
I have what feels like a stomachache but for some reason nothing works to get rid of it. Is it like some kind of period cramp or something?
yes it can be make sure to tell your parents or anybody you trust they will be able to help you 😊
Its definitely possible that it could be a period coming on, but its best to tell and adult you trust and to visit a health professional.
it was so embarrassing talking to my mom about periods and we were in the car and I had food and I just lost my appetite and the worst part, I already knew about them so I had to pretend to get nervous and stuff XD
My doctor ask me this questions
First
I wanna be a doctor just so I can be cool with kids when they need to talk about stuff
You should consider being a psychologist, it’s a doctor but only talking
If you can afford to go to the doctor.
Doctors are great! Anytime I’m at the doctors office they’ll tell me what they’ll be talking about with me and if I need something extra (prick to the finger to check for viruses, time alone, etc) done they’ll warn me beforehand.
can you upload another video tommorow on puberty lone
But what about when your doctor is a 68 year old woman who talks too much...
I would love to ask my doctor some questions and talk to them more about what’s going on in my life (such as how my parents don’t believe I have anxiety disorder). But I don’t feel comfortable talking to her about that type of stuff. She’s very straight forward. One time she kept going on and on about how bad global warming is and I started crying. She then said “Oh sweetie!! I forgot you were so FragiLe!” I was SCARED about global warming and that’s what she says? Also, when I came out to her a month ago she said “well how do you know?”. I didn’t know what to say to that. I just really don’t trust her with anything. Does anybody know any ways I could possibly ask for a new doctor?!?
😅😤
I'm so early that I'm still waiting for all the good comments aka not First
Can you do some more stuff on gender identity? I’m extremely confused, and am using they/them pronouns, and going by seven. I am still extremely confused though.
ok i think they have some more vids about gender identity
Nora Lee i know they do but most of them don’t explain much
Thank you for your suggestion! We do have a gender identity and sexual orientation playlist. Please let us know if there's anything else you'd like help in understanding.
AMAZE Org maybe something on androgyne? I think I might be, but I’m not sure
I feel like I can’t tell anyone in my aria about my romantic orientation or sexual orientation or gender identity because my country isn’t very understanding
Hi
When you mom is a doctor me: MOMMMMMMM I NEED THE DOCTOR YOU
Well I’m 11 almost 12 and my parents still don’t let me answer questions on my own. Well some times, but I get embarrassed apostle when they are in the same room.
*a little
Im hiting puberty in 2020 fuk

Haha I can’t wake up ifI never slept
oooo my 12 yr old checup his soon andi have to tell him all of it nooo
Help me Amaze, I’m having puberty and my skin is turning into metal! And my blood is oil, and bolts are holding me together! Oh yeah, I donated my body to some sketchy old guy and some Igor-ish dude of the streets of the early 1900s
I’m scared of the dentist bc I lost half my adult tooth and I need a root canal
let me tell you a bad ass story to make you feel better ok so when my grandma was 13 or 14 she got in a bad fight with some girl and she lost most of her teeth and she went to the dentist and they had to remove all her teeth and get her dentures the she dose not have any more she has a new set with 1 gold tooth in the front of her mouth
Nora Lee oooo
I wish I could talk to my doctor about my s/h or sexuality but I get too nervous
I know it isn't easy, but that is what health professionals prepare for!
What's a good age to talk to the doctor alone? I'm 16, and trying and failing to explain to my mom that i want to speak for myself, even if it's at a simple checkup.
@Call me Eszter Really? I'd need to ask the doctors, but she says she'll no longer need to be in the room the whole time when I'm 18.
I’m too nervous to ask my parents for therapy because I’m not feeling good :(
And that’s on living in an overly religious state and doctors not even acknowledging the fact sex outside marriage exists 🙌
ikr like it is my body
Ok
Finally,new videos!
Yo can I ask if we can get more ones in this animation form?

I cant ask my doctor something bc of my MOM like i trust my doctor BUT MOM WHY ARE YOU SO NOSY I WANNA BE ALONE
@@angieewing848 Please don't immediately assume that everyone is in a scenario where they have (a) healthy, loving parents/parent, this really isn't the case for many people around the world.
My fear is that the doctor will treat me differently once i tell them my gender identity.
I know they're medical professionals and aren't supposed to do that, but still.
@@goosethephantom2042 they won't i promise but make sure you tell them before do they don't make you uncomfortable or use the wrong words to call you like boy or girl them or they whatever you like tell them speak up ik i might be hard tho tack your time
Hey, there! Your concern is valid; not every doctor is comfortable with working with trans or gender non-conforming children, and some can be downright hostile! Do you have a supportive adult in your life you can raise your concerns with? If you can reach out to a parent or other relative--or even a teacher you trust--there might be someone who can help you find a doctor that you do feel comfortable with. In any case, have faith--the support you need is out there!
Can you talk about what age is recommended to have a sexual partner?
Good video^^
I mean it has to be after 18 because that’s illegal to be anything below.
Hey, there! This is such a popular question! The truth is that there's no one way to know for sure what age is best to begin having sex. What's more important than age is determining what you would need to know that having sex now is the right decision. Do you feel safe with the person you want to have sex with? Does it matter to you if the encounter turns into a relationship, or if they go and tell everyone once you're done? Are you equipped to protect yourself from an unexpected pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections? There's many questions you might want to answer beforehand; before making the decision, considering reaching out to your parents or another trusted adult who can help you think it through.
this channel makes me feel so safe
