(Although the breast tissue remained, it stopped developing) We're being exposed to a LOT more hormonal influences than we realize and this might be a very bad thing in the long run.
Pepper Conchobhar 2 years old? Seriously? That sounds incredibly stupid...and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to stop it once it's started. Also, just say 2 years. It's like telling everyone your 10 year old is 120 months old
Payton Larocque it's not really puberty. Your body decides when to start puberty, and releases those hormones itself, however getting those hormones earlier does the same thing as your body is programmed to respond to those hormones in specific ways, your body changes, but doesn't actually cause those changes intentionally.
I was diagnosed with Precocious puberty at a very VERY young age, I started my period at the age of 5-6 and developed extremely early. I was on of the very few people in my state to actually help the study of Precocious puberty :) I'm glad it is coming to light more..It is a hard thing to live with as you get older!
I got my period at age 10. I rember I woke up in the morning and seen blood and I ignored it (like if it was gonna stop) and I went to my neighbors house to play barbies and we were eating fries with ketchup and I rember my friend told me, "you have a red spot on your butt" and I said, "oh it's probably ketchup." I went home cry telling my mom I was bleeding and she said, "it's just your period" lol
I swear puberty isn't fair, all my friends turned hot and muscular and i just became fat and my face and back are full of acne and black heads, i used to look gorgeous when i was a kid with my dark blonde silky hair and big 'ol cute smile now i have dry curly hair and a smile that would terrorize a day care 😪😪😪 ughh i miss being a kid when life was depression and stress free.
Use oil for your hair daily of bidaily! I don't have any recommendations but search up "Oil for dry hair for men". I know it's not much but you will see the difference.
+That One Guy i mean i can't change hormones and genes can i, but ya i've changed my food diet alot i don't eat half as much as i did and i don't blame anyone in my family about my bad eating habit even though they were a big reason why i became fat because what good would i get if i keep blaming them and not changing anything in my life ya feel me
CreeperLexYT MSP I've probably had anxieties forever, but it really became prominent and a problem in my teens. I don't think anxiety just occurs with age, though I could be wrong.
Aaron Landry serious anxiety usually doesn't show up that early, but stress from a shakey home environment, or trauma (doesn't have to be violent or sexual) can lead to it. I check all the boxes, which explains my own childhood anxieties.
I had breast development at 7 and a period at 9. I was the only child in the 3rd grade with boobs, hips, body hair and body odor. It was extremely traumatic for me. I talk about it on my podcast in hopes to help others who can relate ♥
I had the male equivalent at 9, and this was back in the 70's.....they didn't know anything then either. Other than it was thought to be linked to early activation of the pituitary gland. I was always worried for my children since i didn't want them having the embarrassment i went through. But thankfully they didn't get it. Though i often wonder now that they have children themselves whether it might occur in the next generation
Damn sorry for that but at least you won’t feel like a child I started having breast development at 8 and my first period at 10 and then acne/combination skin at 11
i hit puberty at age 10. I didn't give a shit. The first thing i noticed was that my balls got bigger. I scared and thought i had cancer lol. Then i started growing pubic hair
I had this medical condition growing up(precocious puberty). It started very early maybe 2-4. My parents noticed because I was growing pubic hair and was still in diapers. It was very, very awkard. Routine Dr appointments, blood drawn, X-rays, etc. Monthly until I was 8-9 I had to go to a children's doctors to get an entire physical check up(very invasive), hormone shots, check on my entire growth. I bled like a period when I was 5 coming out of the bathtub and it got slowed by the hormone shots I had to take. I developed breasts at 7-8 because the shots could only slow so much growth and got my period period at 9 shortly into 4th grade. I was always taller until middle school and my bones fused earlier than normal so I'm shorter in my adulthood. I was more mature than other kids and looked older too. It was hard socially and I always stuck out. It was a process, definitely. But now I'm a young woman who's thriving. I'm happy, in well health, and have the regular life of a 23yo. I hope this comment sheds some light on this disease and helps with any curiosity. Maybe even medically. I wouldn't take it back, because it made me stronger as a woman and left me with what feels like a lifetime of wisdom. Not that I'm all smarts, but having knowledge beyond my years during that part of my childhood let me breathe through the lot of it.
@@Blah1195 yes, get her in. You'll hopefully be referred out and get a specialist. I was referred out to a children's medical center that dealth with childhood diseases and such. It'll be routine and a stressful process, but with the correct medical professional help and getting growth shots, it'll help your child go through the puberty a bit more "naturally". It's not unnatural, just severely uncommon. Unfortunately the pinpoint for the disease is often unknown, but that's not alarming since it's uncommon. I hope if you do get seen, that the doctors treat you both well and it gets cared for. I wish you the absolute best of luck!
I am concerned about this topic. Did you start the period before your parent took you for treatment? I head if untreated before period, the treatment will not make a difference
@@ngoziokorie2618 I think it was during. I'm not 100%. My memory is kinda fuzzed and I have some blocked out because it was traumatic. I just know I didn't experience menstruation fully until 4th grade. I wish I could give you a better answer :(
mom gives birth child: hello mother. I am your child. I connected to the wifi from within your body. I solved the problem of cancer and I'm ready to go to college. while inside of you, I researched and improved all the latest technology. well mother _child with full beard cuts cord and starts walking away_ farewell
you start puberty at 11 but the real changes dont become visible until you are 13 around. im 14 and i have not hit it so that means at soonest i will start my growth spurt at 15 or 16 years of age plus i sound like a kid.
I'm a dude, but same. I hit it around 10-11. I'm now 16, and I've basically stopped growing. But I'm okay with it, I'm 6'5 and I'm not a squeaker. So I'm chillin'. 😴
@@akhilshah6508 it's alright dude, my friend is 15. And for the longest time, his voice was higher than the girls in our group. And when we were playing games, someone mistook me for his dad- you aren't the only one, everyone's different and their voices deepen at different times. No need to be ashamed of it.
París Arts idk if to agree or disagree but at the age of 6 I no longer ate any animals. But I didn't go through puberty til being 11 almost 12. I am 20 almost 21 btw. Umm but everyone else was going through puberty when they were 7,8,9 years old ._. they all are meet but they mostly ate too much junk food. I didn't eat junk food til I was 16 because I went through an eating disorder. My eating disorder was more of like when I was 9 almost 10 I slowly gotten more depressed than what I always was. So I stopped eating, I would eat at home when I felt okay. In the mornings it was rare to see me eating, when I got home I would eat. At school I would not ear, I found my own ways to make it look like I ate. After getting into middle School I only ate at home but sometimes I made it look like I ate or some night I'd just not eat at all. It was getting worse, but when I turned 14 I was eating again but slowly. I didn't know why I was getting the will to eat. But then being 15 I would not eat all day, I wake up in the middle of the night to eat til I felt like I was going to die. I ended up afterwards going to my room and cry myself to sleep. At 16 I would spend days weeks months without eating then out of no where eat too much in random. At 17 it was the same. 18 same. 19same. 20 was almost gone. Currently 20 close to being 21, I eat a lot when I am bored. I'll start to cry out of nowhere, I then feel like if I feel I'll feel less sad. Then later on I hate myself ._. then I go days without food ._. idk what fucked up the way I eat ._. I forgot one more thing. When I was regulating my menstrual cycle my eating was normal I was happy a lot and I had energy. I am planning on regulating my period again, so I'll see if my period was what made me have a bad eating disorder and causing my depression.
I hate when people associate puberty with the start of adulthood, and this is one of the reasons why. I hit puberty at 11 and I was not an adult. I was still losing baby teeth and playing with Littlest Pet Shop. Puberty can hit as young as 5 or even, in extremely rare cases, in your 20s. Puberty is the start of the process *physical* maturity. The idea that it means you’re all grown up is archaic and harmful. Let kids be kids.
Dude, not cool. Besides its much more likely that a chemical in some types of plastic, which the body just so happens to respond to the same way as natural estrogen, is the culprit.
That's concerning. I got my period when I was 11 didn't have to wear a real bra till I was 13. I'm on a 34A. Not sure the exact moment I hit my puberty but I'm pretty sure I'm normal.
You better consult your doctor about that. There was a 27 year old guy who hasn't reached puberty yet and it turns out that he has a benign tumor in his pituitary. I'm not saying that you have the same case but better be safe than sorry.
Ah, this video explains why I was sexually mature at birth. My mom ate meat 3 times a day while she was pregnant and was trying to pursuing a Ph.D. in one year.
Well, there's a Thing called Klinefelter Syndrome. A genetical Anomalie that can occur in Boys and is based on low to zero testosterone Production. It results in low, atypical or non body hair on certain Areas, late or low puberty vocal change, missing or low sexual urges (aside from the social Situation and Environment and other factors that deals with those matters), longer extremities (Arms) than usual, low muscles and underdeveloped genitals which doesn't grow more. And a whole lot more Mood changes, less manly behaviours due to testosterone imbalance etc.
Why do people not want puberty when I was younger I wished everyday to be a early bloomer and even though it kinda sucks I'd rather be more masculine then some little immature 9 year old stuck in a whatever year old body
It's really wierd because here in my school in Indonesia is the opposite, puberty is starting to occur a lot later in new 7th graders each year. Some students in my school even didn't star developing puberty until the 9th grade. I hope researches also take account of other countries like Indonesia into their research.
Maybe it's just your impression. As we get older, teenagers seem like little children to us. It may also be because in Indonesia they have a diet of organic food and do field work. Physical activity and healthy food delay puberty. It's not bad. In 1850 the average age of the first menstruation in Europe was 17 years. They were all non-industrial societies.
Testing growth hormones in animals started in the mid 1930s. General use did not start until the 1980s. the precocious puberty phenomenon is over 100 years old
***** Again: you are attributing this to a cause that did not exist when the problem was noticed. US imports of Chinese meat did not even happen until well after Chinese economic reforms in 1978, and did not really kick in until 2001. *Unless* Chinese hormones are so powerful they can travel time-space and backwards up the genetic chain. XD
Milk has nothing to do with it but the hormones humans put in it that's why I switched to organic in 2009 before all this BS started popping up about GMOs
Bri The Mad Mistress You say that because you're cisgender. If you were born in the wrong people like Jazz and others, you wouldn't be so judgmental. Going through puberty of the opposite sex can be traumatic for mtf and ftm individuals. It's easier to transition when people are younger so that their outside can match their insides, though someone such as yourself doesn't seem to understand. It's their life, not yours. It's their body, not yours. Your opinion does not drive their existence and they're going to do what they feel is best for them. It doesn't matter if you accept it. That's how it is.
Kitty Spalla she and her mother have every right to do ehatever they want but I just think it would be better for them to wait until there older to make such an important decision that will affect them for the rest of their life
I started puerty as a senior in high school, 17. Everyone thought I was in elementary school throughout high school. I'm 6ft now and happy I wasn't a midget forever.
My friend was making fun of a boy for having a squeaky voice and then she said "I am sorry I shouldn't be this mean because I was the first to get acne at third grade."
I hate being an early bloomer I started mine at age 9 in 4th grade I was literally the 2nd person out of my entire grade to start "blooming" Oh and one theory he didn't mention which is actually happening a lot around now was the popular Gogurt snack used by many centennials during their childhood had a chemical in it that scientist had proven made kids go into early puberty the gradual change happens slowly but this chemical speeds up the process for it to come currently in 2017 the Gogurt brand is starting to reconsider putting that chemical in there and is considering to take it out due to the amount of children going through early puberty but data has recorded more than 80% of centennials in America (the current teens in 2017) has said they ate the snack Gogurt many times before in their childhood, just saying this could be proof right here...
I started growing breast in the 2nd grade and I was a D cup by 4th grade (and they kept growing until I got a breast reduction when I was 16). However, my mom (who was born in 1965) also started growing boobs earlier than most girls in her grade, so some of it is just genetic.
That's the same grade I was in when it happened. Same with 4th grade, mine did stop I think in 8th grade but as my weight fluctuated so did my size so it's back to a D. Growing early really caused a lot of self consciousness and body issues that I don't think people seem to understand because without kids talking about me I'd still feel bad so growing up hearing kids make fun of me going through it earlier made it worse :/
i dont think that is a main factor because my sister and I got it early(7 and 9) and we were slim children. We ate healthfully too compared to many other kids we knew who ate a lot of processed foods. The only thing I can personally atribute it to is stress. I was sad and stressed because we moved from NJ to PR and it was difficult for me to adjust to the people and environment. Both me and my sister got our first period around the same time even though she is 2 years younger than me. We still looked like children well into our teens though. My sis stayed very slim till into her twenties, now she has a more feminine shape but shes still slim, and I gained weight during the changes of puberty because my hormones were so unbalanced. I also became depressed and I really felt like I lost my childhood. I had to quit track cause my pms was so painful and distressing. Fucked up my thyroid. Anyway, after my hormones balanced out a bit after puberty(around age 16) I lost the weight with no changes to my diet or activities(infact im less active and eat more junk now) and feel a bit more normal overall. I'll never get those years back though. It's fucked up when I think that little girls have to go through all that crap.

Perhaps but I'm not sure. I had a friend with 2 sisters. 1 older and 1 younger. Her older sister was slim to average and she hit puberty late, and at 18 had to go on birth control pills to start her menstruation. My friend was average to slightly heavy and she had a normal puberty. Her younger sister was very slim and hit puberty at 8.
+elines acevedo Starting puberty at the age of nine is not early because most girls are suppose to start puberty around the age of (8-13), but you/sister( ever one of you guys started puberty at 7) really started puberty at a young age. I actually know a young 6 year old at my old school who told me that she's already wearing a training, so that really surprised me.
I hit puberty at 8 and I’m currently 12, I’m 5”6 and doing really good. I kinda feel like this is just to make people who start puberty later feel better but giving people who started puberty early is giving them anxiety and being self conscious that they will be short, fat and depressed when they’re older. (I’m a boy)
When I started puberty at the age of 11, I was literally the only boy in the entire school locker room going through this; most boys started around age 12 or 13. I know this because I got teased a little for it and there wasn't anyone else being teased. So I find it extremely unsettling that only about 20 years later, there are boys regularly starting two years younger. That's far too drastic of a change in too short of time.
I was about 9-10 and it p much traumatised me(im a guy). It was cool when I was a kid and kinda bragged about it, but as an adult it's stunted my growth (height wise and well youknowwhat wise im okay, but my hands and feet are very small for a guy, etc.) Edit: i also got sexualised by teachers and older kids, i cant imagine what its like for a girl
David Dunson lmao I started puberty at 13, but here I am nearly two years later and barely touching 5ft. Lmao being short has its benefits but then again it has a lot of downsides
It's already happened. In fact, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves took inspiration from an orphanage where many children with facial hair were cared for.
my classmate is originally from Afghanistan and he came to the UK with his older brother by running away from war and chaos, his mother and younger brother are still in Afghanistan but luckily they are alive and well,he now lives with his foster parents.
The Scandalous Oatmeal It says in the video that traumatic events or stress can cause early puberty, sure OP didn't say whether or not his friend matured quicker but it's still a connection.
No one in my grade has had puberty yet. *NOBODY* WHAT?! I'm in 4th grade OH and btw I wanna tell you a short story... Once I was putting stuff away in my locker and then my friend came up to me. She said, well, whispered in my ear, "when I heard about puberty my childhood was ruined." Who can agree?
Dogs: (Go through puberty at 6 months old) I’m an early bloomer! Humans: (Go through puberty at 10 years old) I’m an early bloomer! Dog: *Am I a joke to you?*
i'm south east asian. and when we see western kids/teenagers. we always thought that they were adults. and the 20's westerns looks like mid 30 to 40 to us. is it purely because of genetic? or food/milk/alcohol consumption difference? or probably make up
I remember my friend started puberty at age 11 he started getting hair on his armpits and most the guys In my class went through puberty at 12 which felt really early to me cuz I started puberty at age 14 tbh I think this is because my parents wouldn’t let me eat junk food , sugar or boxed stuff they always bought natural stuff or they would make it in the kitchen , Things like yogurt and butter
I remember that i got my first period when i was about 7 which was quite young and had quite irregular periods. However as social pressures got the best of me, i started to eat less and my periods stopped all together as i got skinny. When i started to eat better at 15 my period returned and i now don't have any problems. So food would probably be at least a factor contributing to this.
I got my first period when I was 8, now im 19 and im super short. Is that dangerous or something? I have never had acne, doesn't have a family history with cancer or type 1 or 2 diabetes, I eat healthy and have trained almost since I was 5 or something, 4-5 times a week now but 2-3 times when I was a teenager and 1-2 times a week with gym when I was a child? Im not overweight, obese and I barely have any fat on my body😂😭 I only drink milk sometimes ( not daily, if im out with my friends or something ) and I have always eated a balanced diet and not that much red meat, more lean meat ( chicken and so on ) and alot of vegetables, I have a cheat day once a week where I eat all the candy I want😂 ( I FUCKING LOVE SWEETS SO DARN MUCH, YOU DON'T KNOW. I COULD EAT LIKE 5 OREO PACKS AND STILL NOT BE SATISFIED😭 ). The rest of the week I don't normally eat any candy or sweets or bars at all, I only drink water almost and make sure to get every vitamins, proteins and minerals my body needs😂
Y is everyone older than meee i am 17 and the shortest in the whole school and i just started wearing bras. Period started at 14 and yeah... Life sucks man. Puberty hit me so hard
Infiniti-Wolf Gaming4Life it's not that rare. But are you female or male? For a male, that's pretty early, but not precocious early. For a girl it's fine.
Aiko I was a super late bloomer, I was almost 14 when I got my first period and then when I was 14 I starting wearing a real bra size, not a training bra. (I was a 32A)
I remember a few years ago when they studied what growth hormones being fed to our food would do to our bodies. Around that time it was on the news everywhere about a girl who had her first period at the age of 5. I grew up on a diet that was mainly processed with little meat that came from a butcher. High sugar drinks, pretty much everything a 90s kid enjoyed. Puberty for me started at age 10, and though my younger sister didn't start hers until she was 16, I was the one who didn't become sexually active at an earlier age. However, I did stop growing at the age of 14- standing 6 foot tall

ChickenDipSauce 5 *with a deep voice*
Omg my daughter is 7 and got her menstruation. Thank you for your wisdom
I think my daughter has this.
Should I seek medical attention or let her body be? :(
@@Blah1195 yes, get her in.

I assumed that farmers feed their animals growth stuff then we eat the animals so we grow faster too.
París Arts agreed
absolute genious go apple for a sciance fair or something
París Arts No, that's not how it works.
París Arts I forgot my height is 5'3.

I hit puberty when I was 8, and got my period when I was 10, and had DD breasts by the time I was 12. I didn't have much of childhood because of that.
And I am also only 5 feet tall so that also might be linked
Dude, not cool. Besides its much more likely that a chemical in some types of plastic, which the body just so happens to respond to the same way as natural estrogen, is the culprit.
That's concerning. I got my period when I was 11 didn't have to wear a real bra till I was 13. I'm on a 34A. Not sure the exact moment I hit my puberty but I'm pretty sure I'm normal.

They were all non-industrial societies.
was it because of America giving steroids and antibiotics to animals?
It is I bet it is ! this is exactly what I was going to say :o
Testing growth hormones in animals started in the mid 1930s. General use did not start until the 1980s. the precocious puberty phenomenon is over 100 years old

I started precocious puberty at age 3. I finished puberty at age 13 when all my friends started.
Are you tall for your age.
Maybe it's all the hormones from animal products, especially milk which is suppose to grow a baby calf.
Milk has nothing to do with it but the hormones humans put in it that's why I switched to organic in 2009 before all this BS started popping up about GMOs
I grew up in Wisconsin and always drank about half a gallon of milk a day and I didn't start puberty until 15, so I'm not sure.
True.
Maybe your body is more resistant to it
+Tokotoko Bunni I grew up in Wisconsin too, same thing for me and I started at 12, normal age.
might be due to stress. Society is quite mentally stressed lately.

It should be illegal for children under 18 to make decisions that huge and life-changing
Bri The Mad Mistress
You say that because you're cisgender.

D cup by 4rth grade wtf
I think early female puberty is caused by obesity as higher fat levels lead to higher oestrogen levels. I'm not sure about early male puberty.
i dont think that is a main factor because my sister and I got it early(7 and 9) and we were slim children.

+elines acevedo and its not genetic either because my mom and her 5 sisters all got theirs around 12-13,
Perhaps but I'm not sure.

Dogs: (Go through puberty at 6 months old) I’m an early bloomer!
Humans: (Go through puberty at 10 years old) I’m an early bloomer!
Dog: *Am I a joke to you?*
I'm 39 now, and to this day having been an "early bloomer" is one of the main reasons I'm on anti-depressants and other similar meds.
The emotional pain was the worst part about it.
Wut de fuk iz "emanational"
prescott231233 lol my phone changed it.
emotional
The mood swings...
Do girls just cut themselves for narrsisistic attention.

i'm south east asian. and when we see western kids/teenagers. we always thought that they were adults. and the 20's westerns looks like mid 30 to 40 to us. is it purely because of genetic? or food/milk/alcohol consumption difference?
or probably make up
To be fair, I've seen many asian girls who look older than their mothers lol.
InMaTeofDeath
(in an old man's voice) kids these days.. they use 5kg of make up everyday
Your Country Probably do not put a shit load of Growth Hormones in their Food Supply to get it to Grow and Bulk Up Faster either. They do here.
ravenlorans
why would they do that?
most of us cook raw fresh ingredients.
In TV shows and movies, adults often play as high schoolers, and college kids are often played by people in their 30s.

There is a lot of emphasis on sex in society these days, Probably has a lot to do with it.
Biff Kelly nah its food ..
Puberty at six is scary! How do you keep that child safe from predators?
Sounds like an eating disorder, always worrying about what I eat😂 but no im just trying to live a long and happy life
Stunted growth from too much gym work? idk
*A Google Account* thats bullshit boy when will people understand that this is a myth
Y is everyone older than meee i am 17 and the shortest in the whole school and i just started wearing bras. Period started at 14 and yeah... Life sucks man. Puberty hit me so hard

'Family structure' is a euphemism for fatherhood absence...
It started for me too early >_< at age 10..... :/
Infiniti-Wolf Gaming4Life for me at 6
Silas Bateham that's rare
Lol
Infiniti-Wolf Gaming4Life it's not that rare. But are you female or male? For a male, that's pretty early, but not precocious early. For a girl it's fine.
Infiniti-Wolfz Gaming4Life i started at 11
I hit early puberty when I was in 1st grade.I had acne and I didn't know that ;-;
I actually started my first period at 7 years old and was in a D bra by the age of 10.
Aiko I was a super late bloomer, I was almost 14 when I got my first period and then when I was 14 I starting wearing a real bra size, not a training bra. (I was a 32A)
Aiko Oh
Aiko great .. now I'm hard
Weekend Scripter thats nasty man
i feel weird now. My first period was at the age of 14 and I started wearing bras just now because my boobs don't want to grow
