    This video is gold! Especially when it comes to the dance floor footage. Camera movement needs to match the energy. We play around with a lot of shutter drag for crazy reception dancing too. There’s a lot of ways you can make the viewer feel like they were apart of the event.

      @@RossBarnett02 let’s gooo. Shutter drag is dope. Yea that’s what it’s all about. Truly just being more intentional. Thanks for watching 🙌🏾🙌🏾

    @JustinPorterMedia - What's your opinion on the Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 for Sony? Especially for weddings and events? I figured I would use a 16-35 if I need a wider angle, and the 35-150 for everything else. What's your opinion on that lens? (Plus I have a couple of primes @ f/1.4 if I really need that extra light, or depth)

    What do you think on the 15-35 canon rf? Only time I switch to a 24-105 is ceremony time. The rest of the time I’m close and a fly right behind or interacting.

    • @JustinPorterMedia
      @JustinPorterMedia  Месяц назад +1

      @@kristypence personally the 15-35 is too wide. Definitely a reception lens and establishing shots. That 24-105 should stay on for sure.

    this was great. I wish I watched before I shot my first weeding three weeks ago. Man I have a lot to learn. Starting late in the game at 61. Kind of fell into this effort to shoot weddings after adopting two girls in 2020 and using an a6400 and 16mm 1.4 to make videos of them. then a friend asked me to shoot his backyard wedding since he was not going to have any video. I shot it on that same camera and lens. I since uped my gear to FX3 and 24-70 GM ii. So I shot my frist real wedding three weeks ago. Here is a highlight reel. A lot to learn! but you gotta start somewhere.

    Love your videos...but... I am a solo shooter for weddings. There is no way I have time to have sit down interviews. All your videos you have several people with you that you can assign to do nothing but solos. Again love your videos but sometimes you need to look at solo shooters and the high speed day when you are all over the place.

      You most definitely can! Any wedding trailer you see on my page (are older) but have interviews and all done solo.
      One thing I do is pre plan my wedding videos (the story and shots). I plan a call with the couple to discuss these ideas and what I would like to do creatively (with their permission).
      Things don’t always go as planned, but if you are intentional it’s definitely easier and the couple will also make sure it happens if they are on the same page.
