@Its.hollow you don't technically buy it. You basically ask the "seller" if they're selling it since some sellers forget to take down the stuff they sell but you just ask them that and if they are they invite you to dojo or you depends. Then do a trade with plat and whatever you're buying.
I've purchased a lot of items and mods from this site and rarely had any problems. The only issue, which is not a serious one honestly, is people will either forget to remove from the listings something they've already sold, or leave themselves listed as online and in game when they're offline completely. And I have to agree with just about everyone in the comment section at this point. This game should have this all nicely packaged and installed in the game. Here's a thought. Why not buy this from the people who made it, then add it to the game as a part of going to Maroo's Bazaar, or as a terminal on the Lander? Would handle all the code needed to make it work in game, so it wouldn't even need anything to be done other than integration.

That is true and is exactly what happened with warframe.market. I used it in the beginning and am still using it. But because everyone tries to make a quick buck the prizes crumbled. A year ago you could sell stuff like corrupted mods for 10 to 20 plat. No they sometimes go fro 5 or less.
Max Lam: Yes I checked how much you can get for Transient Fortitude. It is at about 40 plat right now. But the more common ones are most of time not worth to be sold on that site.

But how do i know what i want to buy? Where does the platinum come from? My warframe account? Do i need to buy more platinum in order to place orders? I type in for eg; Ash Prime Set - and it comes up, but what is an ash prime set? The warframe? Do i need to build it or will it appear in my inventory? It's all just a big guessing game for a noob.
It also has a public and easy to access API that you can scrape with Python and run trend projections for the prices because if I am blowing off my university work to play a game, might as well use it to practice that stuff
Frederick X. It's actually quite a nice hobby for when you have nothing to do but AFK in your Liset. I have seen a few RUclipsrs like DelSquared show some analysis techniques but they were keeping it quite simple. I am running Tensorflow on mine 8)

This is kind of a nightmare for mid game players, without rivens. I try selling some vaulted prime parts, and they're supposed to be under 20 plat cause some guy on this site said he'd sell it for 10, even though the highest price from a legit seller is upwards of 100. Meanwhile, I get offered a sicarus prime bp for 50 plat during an unvaulting. Woe is me.

On the market site you have an active exchange of items, when more people have an item there will be more sell orders so prices will go down, when less people have it the sell orders will get rare and the item gets more expensive. You can't be more accurate than an active "economy". You can try to sell something for the prices on nexusstats, but when it's more expensive than on the market nobody will buy it, when you are cheaper you might miss plat.
FaafVonFasslich nexus-stats has market table history, also the price so accurate, you can see the actual price and market history from pieces to set, but the weakness is no unveiled riven mod price. Edit : So I only visit nexus-stats for prime sets or mods. For Unveiled Riven mod, i trust trade chat(even the price somewhat ridiculous).
actually the warframe market uses only the stats from the people selling and buying on site whereas nexus-stats.com/ actually uses stats directly from the game and ingame chat.

Why the actual feck is maiming strike still 400 plat on PC????? I bought mine for 150p on console with argon scope only being worth 100p as well. Usually PC prices are much lower than console due to the larger playerbase and more competition. Its not like those mods are even that hard to get and the event is fairly common to pop up.
St0nerJR I can agree slightly. When buying something you definitely cannot use the lowest price you find as a "set in stone price". The same goes for selling.

i think corrupted mods can still go for 20p+ but deflation really hit hard

you didnt mention that the statistics tab under each item is incredibly useful for guaging prices for items. also a good way to avoid price fixing.

Why the actual feck is maiming strike still 400 plat on PC????? I bought mine for 150p on console with argon scope only being worth 100p as well. Usually PC prices are much lower than console due to the larger playerbase and more competition. Its not like those mods are even that hard to get and the event is fairly common to pop up.
This site is not a true reflection of prices it's just a bunch of lowballers. You've just made a heap load of troubles for console tenno.
St0nerJR I can agree slightly. When buying something you definitely cannot use the lowest price you find as a "set in stone price". The same goes for selling.
