There’s nothing wrong with some Jedi surviving by the time of Luke, but they should be in hiding and not being action heroes that get themselves killed. Or potentially killed because Vader in Disney canon never is able to kill these exposed Jedis because of stupid plot armor. It makes Luke non special if he’s not the only Jedi to face the empire head on. If ahsoka came out of hiding after return of the Jedi to mentor Luke or help his academy I’d more by into it. But her exposing herself makes me wish Vader actually killed her.
@@DarthPawz I consider her to be part a secondary canon of the eu. Not counting the Disney canon and including that terrible season 7. The true canon continuity doesn’t have her nor Starkiller. They aren’t quite elseworlds but they definitely aren’t canon to the original eu timeline and are secondary. Like how DP&W isn’t real MCU and just secondary.
Well considering the age demographic for the show with 6 to 14 I don't think Disney back then was really going to go for a lot of death scenes at least not of the main characters that they're trying to market to kids to sell toys
I'm working on a fan fic about a Padawan and a Master traveling together delivering supplies for early Rebel cells starting around 7 BBY. Before long they start fighting more openly. It will be darker than Rebels. A youth like Ezra should be scarred from war. My story will explore that effect on someone who is basically a child soldier in the Padawan character. The Empire will be much harder to overcome and Inquisitors will be more threatening.
I'm not gonna lie, this show was the one got me interested in Star Wars. I remember watching this series as a kid and i enjoyed it a lot. I even remember collecting the Star Wars Command toys based on it.

It's the reason why Ahsoka (the show) was effectively a sequel to Rebels, and why everyone lost their minds when Ezra and Thrawn popped up.
one thing i will say is the rant about maul is slightly misleading, he make it sound like he just finds Kenobi through a holocron, but the whole thing was that it was knowledge obtained from combining a sith holocron with a jedi holocron, mixing light and dark, with this the two who opened them could have ANY ONE question they want answered, that's how maul found him, so there's no way vader and sidious could find him like this as they would never work with a jedi to do this, and the only way they can use the light side in Disney continuity is to reject the dark side, you can think what ever you want about mixing the holocrons, i personally think it was an odd thing, but this is just to clarify that it wasn't as cut throat as he makes it sound.

I miss time travel that had consequences by having paradoxes instead of infinite loop or tangent timeline excuses. Back to the Future films had more stakes because if one version was killed in a point in time the other variants could cease to exist and all die. And the alternate timelines weren’t even tangents but instead reshaped the entire universe and thus they couldn’t just go back and forth and instead had to go back in time to fix and prevent from happening. Ahsoka is an infinite loop excuse similar to Terminator or Harry Potter where she was “always meant to be saved” blah blah blah. Infinite loops are just as bad as the tangent reality trope from endgame or Loki. It’s lazy. It only worked in Terminator and Harry Potter because the stories were good.
