I’m new to fishing and I’ve used this rod to catch 6 small mouth bass so far. I get concerned whenever I catch the 2-4 pound bass because it always looks like it’s bending a little too much.
I just bought one to pick up after work tomorrow. I'm going to use it for my finesse stuff. I plan on taking it out Saturday to test it out before I put in my rotation. I might end up swapping reels over, but if their spinning reel is as good as the baitcaster I have, possibly not!
I got an American hero lew's with the wego2 spinner from Dick's for $30 and it's been great so far, pulled in a 29in redfish using 12lb braided line using a Johnson Gold spoon
Camo is not flashy. The neon orange and green these days is. The camo looks really good and tastful. You get nice compliments on it. To be so young....really? I've had the 200 reel for over 3 years. It's great , I use it for trout fishing. Mine is on a ugly stick. I Have bait casters , I even have a bfs set up. Baitcasters have Micro guides . Spinning rods do not.
Thanks for doing a review, but I gotta bust your balls a little bit. I’m only saying this because you remind me of my nephew. Who’s in your same situation w/college, age, etc. It doesn’t shock me anymore, but it does clarify why things are the way they are with younger people. You’re in college. You’re supposed to be studying especially with cost of tuition. The fact that you’re talking so casually about an “inexpensive” fishing combo. I’ve seen with my own two eyes adult working men looking at those combos and trying to figure out if they can afford it, the line, lures, license etc etc etc. To hear your obviously unemployed take on value for money on anything blows my mind. I’m not putting you down I swear. Like I said I have nieces and nephews around your age in same situation. My generation obviously is partly to blame because we have into your every want. Never saying “no”. Or made you actually work while going to school. You better be bringing home 4.0 and taking 15-18 hours a semester to not be working. You seem like a good dude trying to find your way and that’s good, but before you go off chasing whatever it is you want to do you better work on laying that foundation. Through hard work and being broke. Living paycheck to paycheck to understand what makes the world go round. Please realize I’m only typing this because I want to help your generation grow up to be better people. Screw politics, I’m talking about your neighborhood your family. Making sure you are giving back as much as you have received. That’s all bud. I hope this made some sense and don’t take it as a blast just on you. Plus I drank like a fish in college and thought it was the greatest time ever at the time. Then 20 years go by like that and you want to go back and talk to your younger self. ✌️✌️🙏
The lews xfinity combo from Walmart is the same price and I think it’s pretty good for the money
My very first fishing pole that I ever bought for myself.
I got it at Dicks for 30 bucks
Love this rod so far!. With 10lb braided line.
good job on the review one of the best I've seen thank you

Nvm my rod broke today
Oof!!
Don’t be concerned, it’s a bass rod. Full send it and it’d it breaks, you only spent 60 bucks and you still have the reel for the next rod.

Mine broke after 30 minutes of use.
I just bought this combo after watching this video for $15 ($25 without discount) at Dicks. Thank you
Nice review. Looks like a decent rod. I went with the Lew's Mach 1 Spinning Combo for my fist fishing rig. Have you had a look at that model?
Quick question would the speed rod be better than the regular or not because it’s cheaper
I have this exact reel and rod. It broke after 30 minutes of use. Never had a rod break on me so this likely is the rod that's the problem

What size of braided line can I put on this combo?
I know this is late but it should say on the pole what size line. It will say line: 10-30 lb wt
Which means 10 to 30 pound weight.
@@Opinion123-no-walls thank you, new to fishing....
