I have the orange spinning xfinity combo from Walmart. It is fantastic for the price. I use mine for Ned Rig fishing from shore. Not afraid of beating it up instead of my pricier Mach combos. With 6# mono it casts a mile. Great for 1/4 oz in-line spinners when I am creek fishing.

i got the green xfinity reel and love it, got 30 lb braid and use it with a 7 ft medium heavy rod for texas rigs

@@ertren6 i actually prefer the straight braid, it helps me detect the slightest bites.....i have since respooled most all my rods and baitcast reels with 15 lb fluoro, except for my froggin rod
@@everettgrover9459 I have braid with leaders for my set ups. The pros I've noticed are that it casts further, easier, backlashes are easy to handle, and it saves me a fortune with fluro. It's changed my game big time

I use a zebco spin cast and I've had it for 2 years so far and no problem a little clinky but still good.
I had this combo but I got rid of it when I got back to Florida ironic enough I got it in Minnesota when I was living there. For me it’s to flashy like look at me, but it is a great rod a reel

I just got one in silver and yellow it was $65 and got it for $13.65 on clearance best I've ever got for under $15 with line. I'm very happy with it my first LEW's and the Xfinity is great but it says medium light is a medium rod.

Nice review. Would you use this xfinity combo for salt water kayak fishing. Will it hold up in the salt. Is half the price from the inshore series so? ?
I have not used it for salt, so I can’t give an answer for that. I’d recommend getting the custom inshore spinning reel

Got anvideo idea: teaching folks HOW to decide the type of rod to get next. Between Bass Casting/Bass Spinning there is a logic to growing your rod collection, making the most of your rod money. Example: if have 3 casting rods now, maybe a spinning rod is better for throwing my lightest of lures, and THEN, what's the rod recommendation regarding speed and power. So, it could be about evaluating your rod collection, what you fish for, and how to expand between what you have now or outside of it. I could see the gear laid across the floor, exampled out, and then followed up with lures used in a part-2. But it's "How to Build (or condense) Your Rod Collection."
Touched on that in a video I filmed recently, but I could make a full video about it!

Not good for a jigging rod because the butt is way too long... Your not a big guy and your not wearing heavy cloths and the butt is almost rubbing on you.. If your walleye fishing in cold weather and wearing some thick cloths (or you got a big belly), the butt will always rub unless your arm is fully extended and thats not possible to do all day without getting majorly fatigued.
