Epic climb. 👍 Invaluable to see you stopping so close to the summit. Usually the whole team has to return. In this case i completely agree to your solution. Blake was still so strong. Instructive to hear about your technical approach on a glacier. If I ever make it to Washington, I definitely have to climb with you! 😉
Great, Great, Great footage of your glacier experience. The narrative and explanation of the problems you are solving on the glacier are helpful for budding mountaineers. Can't wait for your channel to gain its much deserved traction. Good luck! And keep bringing us incredible content.
The toughest decision im having is which boots I need. If it should be a single or double boot. I'm just not sure what's needed. I feel like a double might be overkill as I'm new, but then again, I don't know. Maybe a single would be better as I can do more with it? I do get cold feet Currently have my eyes set on a warm single B3 boot, but no idea if that's going to be good enough as I've been hearing that sometimes a double boot might be needed. Under 4000m
Well, it depends on what you are wanting to do. What part of the world are you in? I usually recommend people get a boot like the Scarpa Phantom Tech. You are closer to the warmth of a true double (not quite) but they weigh less then a insulated single. For the last few years, it's really the only boot I ever wear unless it's going to be super warm. I would not get a true double for under 4000m unless you are going to be climbing in winter.
Hey man, great video! Im portuguese so my knowledge of glaciers is pretty slim, so my question is, that was in the summer right? Would the glaciers be more stable in the winter? And how's the overall regression of the glaciers in Baker?
